The Auspicious Beast gave Meng Hongchen a helpless yet somewhat pleased look as the girl hugged her tightly, then said with a touch of pride, "Of course! I'm the Auspicious Beast, after all! In the Great Star Dou Forest, all soul beasts aside from Di Tian—including the other fierce beasts—treat me with absolute respect!"
Watching the Auspicious Beast boast so confidently, Huo Yuhao couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat. It was true, after all. In the original timeline, his entanglement with Wang Qiu'er and the Auspicious Beast's final sacrifice had stirred up endless trouble. Thankfully, in this life, his relationship with the Auspicious Beast was harmonious and straightforward. Honestly, he never quite understood why the main character always had to have every female around him fall in love.

During this time, Huo Yuhao also released Xiao Bai, who had been cooped up in the undead subspace. It was midsummer in the central region of the continent. Yet when Huo Yuhao looked around, he was utterly speechless. The entire landscape had been blanketed in white and gray—it was as if they'd been transported to the Extreme North, sealed in endless ice.
This was the aftermath of Snow Empress' return to peak power. The extreme chill that had leaked out upon her awakening had completely transformed the surroundings. Huo Yuhao was thankful he'd chosen a remote enough place for their seclusion. Had they been near a human city, the residents would likely have frozen to death. Even Meng Hongchen, with her ice-type martial soul, was visibly shivering in the cold.
As for the Auspicious Beast—although her Golden Dragon King bloodline gave her immense vitality, even she had curled up on the ground, teeth chattering.
At this point, only Huo Yuhao, with his ultimate ice attribute, remained completely unaffected.
Snow Empress glanced at Meng Hongchen and the Auspicious Beast. For once, a hint of apology appeared on her normally icy face.
"Sorry. I didn't control the chill properly when I woke up."

She paused.
"Then within the Extreme North, I am the strongest."
Her words were thunderous. Meng Hongchen, the Auspicious Beast, and Huo Yuhao were all deeply shaken.
Previously, experts had analyzed the power differences between the top three savage beasts, all of whom were at the Extreme Douluo level. Across all environments, Di Tian ranked first, the Evil Eyed Tyrant second, and Snow Empress third. At most, if she fought in her home ground in the Extreme North, Snow Empress could battle Di Tian to a standstill. That was the widely accepted opinion.

"Hmph, of course! Who do you think I am? From the moment I met Yuhao in the Great Star Dou Forest, I knew—he's the one worth betting everything on!"
In his spiritual sea, Huo Yuhao couldn't help but roll his eyes.
'Yeah, like you had any other choice back then.'
"Tch, this worm's showing off again. Xue'er, watch how I deal with him."
"Ah! No, Bingbing! I was wrong!"
