Chapter 7 - Ch 2.6: Desciple?

Ron looked behind and found a girl.

Age wise she looked to be around 10 to 12. With dirty cloths and very distinct hood.

Ron could not make out the girls intentions. She looked timid but there is definitely some determination flashing in her eyes.

"What do you, want, kid?" Ron asked straight up.

"Um…" The girl stuttered a bit. "Are you the hero everyone has been talking about!" The girl blurted out.

(Luna POV),

"Hey you there!" I suddenly heard a familiar voice.

Looking at the person it was the daughter of the head maid. I met her the first time i came here.

She did gave me some work, which i promptly ignored.

"You... i finally found you, you little piece of..." She looked quite angry. And so she stomped towards me. "Why didn't you finish the task i gave you!!!"

"Uh, wait, wait, wait. I what task are you talking about? Who are you?" I feinghed ignorance.

"You... you don't remember!" She fumed with anger. "That day i asked you too..." She blabbered on about stuff, but i don't have time for this, so i just decided to cut this conversation short.

I gave her a smile and said, "Oh, my. But how could i do that task!"

She angrily raised an eyebrow. "Just like every people do stuff, you little piece of shit!" As she proceeded to raise her hand.

"Hm? But that is not possible..." I answered.

"What? " She stopped midway.

"Silly kid, i am just a figment of your imagination." I said before using my gods aura to control a gust of wind to her face.

"What the…" In the split second she closed her eyes i lifted my self up of the balcony with gods aura as i walked away in to the halls.

"That should give her enough existential crisis to leave me alone for a bit."

(Third person POV)

"What just happened!" The girl looked in front her and found no one. She could only looked with shock as there was no one.

How could that be she thought. She was sure she was talking with that little brat. But if that is the case, where did she go! There was no nearby place where she can run and hide in such a short amount of time.

"The figment of my imagination…" She rubbed her eyes. Fear and concern evident on her face.

( Luna POv)

"Is she sleeping so late today?" I couldn't help but look at the sleeping lady. It seems like Milady is over sleeping today. "Should i wake her up?" I pondered. But decided to not to.

'Let's go and help the maids at the kitchen.' After all, i barely do any work around here since i always stay around milady.

So i walked out of her room, and walked to the kitchen.

"Oh, Luna. You are here." Some familiar maids greeted me. Since Lady Azure doesn't get much funding from the royal, there aren't that many people working around here.

"Is Milady, not playing with you today." One of the maids asked.

"She is still asleep." I answered.

"Oh, that's rare." The maid seemed surprised.

"Is it that unusual?" I asked back.

"A bit. It might be, because Milady has been working pretty late at night recently."

"Is that so?" I she working on something i don;t know?

"Aw, you don't have to think about it that hard. Milady is very mature and can take care of her self." She patted me on the head. "Here, take this fruit, these are very tasty." She handed me a bunch of berries.

Though i still couldn't shake off the curiosity of what milady might be working so hard on to loose sleep on.

(Third Person POV)

"You want to be my disciple!" Ron scrutinized at the girl.

The girl under the hood just suddenly came up to him and just ask to be his disciple.

But then he realized, he indeed has a reputation for slaying monsters. This girl might be wanting to learn from him.

"Look, kid i don't take disciples." He said before proceeding to walk away away.

"Uh, but…" Ron did hear the girls stutters but ignored it and walked away.

He really doesn't deserve to teach people. As he is not a model citizen.

He is just a small thug, who just happens to have become famous.

As he walked away the girl behind him could only stare in sadness.

Ron didn't looked back as he blended in to the crowd.

After a while,

Ron finally, reached his home.

"Oh, It's Ron!" The fruit seller lady in front of their house suddenly confronted him.

"Good morning mam?" Ron could only stare at the woman, as he did not know what this woman intention was.

"Ron, did just leave your daughter alone at home yesterday night? Where did you go last night?" The woman asked.

Even though the woman was trying to hide it there was clear that she was angry at Ron.

And Ron also understood why.

Yesterday he got a bit of money so he went out to gamble. Although for him it is not that uncommon to spend money on gambling and women.

This does seem bad from this neighbors perspective.

Even though Ron understood the problem he didn't know how to solve it.

"I…I went out." He said not figuring out what to say here.

"To where. You even left your small daughter alone at home? It must have been a very important job." The woman squinted her eyes.

"Uh, yes. It was very important. Oh, look at the time. I really need to get to my job." Ron just decided to ignore the woman and walk off, not giving her any time to say anything.

"But… hey…"

The woman squinted her eyes at the retreating man. Her impression of Ron dropping significantly in her mind. When the father and daughter duo came to this house she had a good impression of them.

After all, Luna, the daughter was too cute of a child.

But now she feels like this man is too careless. Even if he's a single father it is not forgivable for him to leave his daughter alone at home for a whole night.
