Freya felt tears roll down her cheeks as her eyes slowly opened, it was years ago but she still felt that pain of loosing a sibling. Colton had skipped school just to get Jane a super rare chocolate and pistachio cake, on his way back, he got hit by a huge truck.
Freya had told him that mum always watched that cake but it was always sold out when she got there. She never meant for him to die that way and ever since, her two loving parents changed, they abused and hurt her saying all types of words.
The death of Colton pushed her mother to madness. Freya sat up as she hugged her knees to her body, tears slowly rolled down her cheeks.
Aurelius stood outside Freya's door with a frown, he had been knocking for a while but nobody answered him. He twisted the knob of the door, pushing it open.
He saw Freya crying, as she hugged her knees to her body. He frowned, he had never liked seeing her crying especially when it's not him making her cry.
"Didn't you hear I was at the door?" He asked her as he sat beside her, the pills the doctor had gave him from earlier when she had collapsed in the hospital was in his palm with a glass of water.
"Oh sorry" Freya said realizing she was crying as she quickly turned her head away wiping her cheeks as she took a deep breath. "Are those for you?" She asked as she noticed the pills in his palm.
"No, they're for you. Remember when you collapsed in the airplane when we first met. The doctor gave me this to help control whatever you're going through, it's a type of panic attack but yours isn't a registered one" Aurelius said as he passed her the pills and water. Freya remembered when they first met, the masks had made him seem so mysterious and handsome but without it, he looked cunning and still handsome.
Accepting the pills and water, she immediately threw the pills in her mouth, downing it with a sip of two of water. Aurelius took the glass from her placing it beside the bad.
"I wanted us to go down for dinner but the broth is still stewing up. Come let me show you something magnificent" Aurelius said as he offered her his hand, Freya didn't have the strength to argue or anything so she placed her hand in his and they both stood up going to the balcony.
The stars outside were bright and looked like little diamonds in the sky. Aurelius looked at Freya as she stared at them, she looked cute anytime she kept staring at things so much, he thought.
Taking a deep breath, he slowly took a step back. Looking at the railings of the balcony, he ran back into the room and when he ran back out, he jumped off the floor.
"Aurelius!" Freya yelled when she noticed what he had just done but she was shocked that he landed right on the railings.
"Sheesh, calm down. I'm not going to die right in front of you" Aurelius chuckled as he opened his arms out smiling as he threw his head back.
Freya shook her head, thinking this man was truly insane. As she stared at him, he totally let his guard down, she could actually push him off here and end all this.
"Don't try it, mon Cherie" Aurelius said as he turned to look at her, his silver eyes dark and calculating.
"I wasn't going to do anything. You're being paranoid" Freya said as she walked back into the room heading for the toilet.
Aurelius shook his head as he got off the railings. Freya had no idea that she was like a book with open covers, her emotions and thoughts were displayed all over her and that was her disadvantage.
Aurelius thought with a smirk as he fell on the bed waiting for her to finish whatever she went to do.
Freya stared at herself in the mirror shaking her head, she splashed water on her face before walking out of the restroom. When she walked towards the bed, she had noticed Aurelius had fallen asleep. She carefully climbed on the bed, staring at his face with pure curiosity.
His pink cherry lips kept calling out to her, she looked around the room thinking she was being watched. She placed a small lingering kiss on his lips before jumping off the bed and running away like a little bunny.
Aurelius let out a small chuckle as his hand moved to his lips, touching the exact spot she had kissed hoping to still one from her to.
Freya got downstairs and met a huge spread of meals on the table. When last had did she have a nice meal that didn't taste like coleslaw. As she sat down at the head table looking at Piper who stood across the room glaring at her.
"Are you going to serve me or do you plan on boring a whole in my body?" Freya said with a smirk making Piper frown.
"Right away ma'am" Piper said as she walked forward with the plate of broth in her hand. She dropped it on the table as she got a small bowl serving Freya who stared at it intently making sure Piper didn't slip anything inside it.
"Thank you" Freya said as she grabbed a spoon taking a spoonful into her mouth, she moaned as she could taste everything. If Aurelius was the one who cooked this, then she was in for a real treat.
"It won't be long and he'd finally get rid of you" Piper muttered as she stood in a corner. Freya tore a piece of bread chewing on it as she ignored her.
"Before he gets rid of me, you'll probably be dead to even witness it" Freya said as she continued eating, deciding not to mind Piper again.
