Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: X-Haria

"My head..."

Randy groaned... slowly getting up from the ground. The area is hot and humid... he took a moment to look at himself.

"What the hell?"

He would say quietly to himself. His attire was something out of the ordinary. He wore a long flowing black coat that reached down to his knees. His collar was fur-lined, the ends of the coat were cut up a bit. His shirt was black and slim-fitted, his pants black, made of leather. He had heavy duty boots, with the top part of the boots being gray, and the entire sole being yellow. The end of sleeves had fur as well.

"No way, did I get reincarnated?!"

His eyes darted all over the place looking at his dark gray hair that's just past his shoulders with two ending parts of his hair being long and whip-looking, a stark contrast to his black short hair. He used to be 172.7 centimeters but now he's a measly 150 centimeters. He felt his face as he started to laugh A bit.

"Oh... I get it... I'm in a coma, and this is just a dream."

He closed his eyes... his head tilting to the side ever so slightly, relaxing...

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but coma patients can't dream."

...

Randy turned around, his eyes made contact with a glowing ball of

light. A red one at that...

"You're..."

"A glowing ball? I'm aware."

The glowing ball talked with an attitude. Its voice sounded feminine, and it spun around Randy as if it was analyzing him.

"Randy Noid, right?"

"Huh?"

"That is your name, right?"

"Oh yeah, that's me, Randy... or I can be anybody, this IS my dream after all."

He laughed nervously, still in denial that he got reincarnated in such a dumb way.

"Again, you're not dreaming, and this is more of a transfer, since you kept your age, mind and memories."

He was already a bit confused... if this isn't a dream, and he actually got reincarnated, then that means...

"N-no way, did I actually die? In my dorm room? Are the rest of my friends dead?! Did they get reincarnated?!"

He would ask, panicking, holding the ball of light in his hands, squeezing it as if he was holding a person's shoulders. The ball slipped out of his grasp and spoke.

"Calm yourself first. Yes, you died in your dorm room, yes your friends are also dead, and... maybe they got reincarnated here... I'll have to check later."

"Check later?! No. I need this checked now!"

He yelled at the ball and attempted to grab it once more, but was stung by a spark of electricity, making him gasp.

"What was that for?!"

"What do you mean? You kept touching me and I really don't appreciate it..."

"You could have used your words and said stop!"

"I could've... but didn't wanna."

This orb of light was really pissing him off. It wouldn't tell him anything, but his confrontation with the orb was short lived as the ground beneath him shook. He looked down, then at the tall trees that seemed to stand still as he moved...

"What's happening?"

He muttered as he walked forward, the ground still moving. The orb followed closely and rested on his shoulder.

"Oh right, you're on top of Mother Nature."

He finally stopped walking as he saw a head... he looked at the floor more closely, rubbing his feet on what he thought was grass, which turned out to be moss covering a shell. He tapped his feet on the shell as he looked at the head once more.

"It's a..."

The head of what the orb called "Mother Nature" is the head of...

"A TURTLE?!"

The turtle grumbled as it walked across the forest. He couldn't believe his eyes. He thought he was on a random patch of grass, but he's on a house sized Tortoise! Randy fell to the ground due to shock, as the orb appeared in front of his face and spoke.

"I know you're kind of shook right now, but we should at least do some introductions, am I right?"

Randy went on both of his knees, his hands rested on them as well as he nodded. So many things were happening at once...

"Alright. You go first."

"As you wish. My name is X-Haria. I'm considered a helper. Helpers are a group of demi-deities that everyone has. Until that person is ready to do things on their own, the helpers stand by their side. There's over 2 billion helpers, part of different groups and naming systems... I'm in the... ... ..."

X-Haria stopped speaking abruptly due to Randy not being there...

"Randy? Randy?!"

It called.

It took a while but it heard Randy's screams in the distance and ran towards it... turns out he left by the time she got to the "2 billion helpers" part and he ended up running into a bunch of living barnacles that were living on the shell of Mother Nature...

"HELP ME!"

He asked, yelling at the top of his lungs whilst running. X-Haria went in front of him and generated a shield to block off the barnacles.

"There. Let that be a lesson to not walk away while I'm speaking."

"Right, understood!"

He nodded profusely, before asking

"What were those things exactly?"

X-Haria responded quickly.

"Living barnacles. As the name suggests, they're living pieces of barnacles. It's your classic fantasy monster."

"I get that, but aren't barnacles non-living?"

"Well, anything Mother Nature touches gains life, y'know."

"I see."

The turtle kept walking and walking, and the barnacles soon lost interest.

"Without that barrier, would I have died?"

"No."

X-Haria replied, spinning around Randy.

"Living barnacles don't kill. They ran at you to inspect your features. The least they'd do is take a piece of your hair."

About four hours passed... the turtle had slowed down as the sun started to set... X-Haria floated in front of Randy as he spoke.

"I have a question. You explained the weapons of this world, the basic classes and some new ones like Yo-Yo Arts, but I want to know about me. You called me by Randy, so does my name stay the same? And is there anything else besides my body that's changed?"

"Oh. Well I would have to do a full scan in order to answer that."

"What's stopping you? Do you have to be in a separate area?"

"Fortunate for you, all I have to do is transform into my humanoid form."

Randy nodded as he saw the ball of light morph into a human. X-Haria was a girl, which was obvious from the voice. Her red hair flowed down to her knees, with 2 ahoges on the top of her head that faced opposite directions. She wore a single sheet of white fabric that covered her torso and traipsed over her as if it was a poncho. Her legs and feet were bare, the slightest bit of wind could show something undesirable. Randy just stared at her, waiting for her to do the full scan. X-Haria's eyes turned from red to orange as she looked at Randy... it soon returned to red as she spoke and sat down in front of him.

"Your name in this world is Randy Zakia. Your age is still 19. You're still a mix of different ethnic backgrounds. You have blood from Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Of course, those countries don't exist here, so let's just say you're a mix of Human and Dark Elf. You can pass as one because your skin is already brown."

"You mean't continents."

X-Haria gave randy a glare.

"Yeah, that."

"Sounds cool and all, but now that you can scan everything about me, think you can tell me how I died?"

"Sure. You died like any other person who gets reincarnated... you got ran over by a truck."

"In the fourth floor of a college? You don't expect me to believe that."

"See for yourself."

...

X-Haria put her hand in front of Randy's face and showed him how it happened from a third person perspective... turns out the truck was stationary in the air like it was some type of out of bounds entity in a game.. it was invisible... ... well... until it wasn't and crashed into the building.

"...This is such bullshit"
