Chapter 2 - The vampire king wishes for slumber ch2 Rude awakening.

To each their own.

In a world filled with vast personalities, opinions and whatnot it served to say not always will individuals be on the same page.

Some enjoyed luxury other didn't.

Some enjoyed peace other chaos.

It range from abstract difference to something as mundane as personal preferences like the kind of food, music or games one liked.

And for Lucas what he wanted more than anything in the world was to sleep.

A quiet and peaceful sleep that was all he had every wanted but....

"LUCAS....."

That she-devil, the abomination know as Miss Raviel and the history teacher of Class A within the first year group in Union academy couldn't understand that.

"LUCAS....."

In a time were the sun's ray were just bright enough to not disrupt his morning sleep, he found his ears raptured from the continuous screams of his class teacher.

It was irritating.

It was nerve-wracking and most of all it disrupted his sleep something he hated more than anything.

"Arg...."

Groaning in annoyance with his head on the table, he looked up with his half opened scarlet eyes.

The image of a dark-haired woman filling his sight.

In a professional fluffy white blouse and pencil skirt, she was packing the kind of body that could cause a teenage boy's hormones to start acting up but Lucas was too sleepy and annoyed to think about how hot Miss Raviel was.

In his rule book, sleep came before women so....

"Sit up." Miss Raviel lashing out at him, slammed her palms against his table causing Lucas to flinch as he sat into position. His drowsy expression grew into fear while his back straightened into his chair.

"Good."

As her anger died out, She gave him a warning glare, the classes attention on both her and Lucas.

"His at it again."

"Vampire genes probably kicking in."

"Haha...not funny even I, a vampire don't sleep this much. Probably his Human side at play you know with human being so useless."

"Fucking bloodsucker."

"Please be gentle."

"Not that..... argh you freak."

The student of Class A were as lively as ever and as usually the trigger was the half blood vampire Lucas.

Within a week since classes official began, he had earned the nickname, sleeping beauty.

It wasn't a compliment nor was it a mockery just simple facts and just like the previous days leading to now, his prince or in this case fellow princess, Miss Raviel didn't hesitate in gaving him her usual rude awakening.

"Lucas for the last time, stop sleeping in my class."

"But I have a health problem."

"You don't!"

His excuse was quickly shut down as Miss Raviel heaved a sigh.

"But..." He stammered, his voice discontinuing as he was subjected to Miss Raviel usual glare.

"Listen Lucas..." She started soft only to devolved into pure spite as she continued "....I dare you to sleep again and you'll be excused from my class."

"Okay she isn't playing around this time."

Lucas understanding the implications of her words knew he really will be in deep trouble if he continued this way but....

"I'm so tired." He yawned and that actions of his caused the whole class to gasp at his sheer stupidity.

They couldn't tell if the boy really had a serious condition or he was really testing fires.

He was literally told to not sleep and he followed by yawning.

"How crazy." A student remarked.

"Well his a vampire their all crazy." Another chimmed in.

"Hey I heard that." This time a student more precisely one from the vampire race excalimed in anger.

While this was going on Miss Raviel on the verge of going into an outburst about how nonchalant Lucas was acting took in a deep breath.

"Calm..down... don't let this kid get you teaching license revoked."

She had worked tooth and bone to pass her teaching exams, stressed her body and mana core to pass the venting and finally suck up to shitty people to make it this far in her career.

There was no way she was going to let some annoying brat snapped her thread of reasons all so her effort could go to waste.

"Lucas." She called choosing to put this matter on hold.

"..."

He was asleep, his head hanging back in a comedic manner.

"Lucas."

With a dead pan look on her face she called him one's more, her way of waking him up.

Slamming the table will just encourage her to be more violent, she just needed to hold on.

He just needed to wake up.

"Lucas."

"Argh...just one more minute."

There was silence ones more as Lucas performing strange mannerisms from falling too deep into sleep murmured.

"Lucas."

This time her tone was much shaper and hasher as red lightning began to crack around her body.

Tables were shifted and chairs moved as the class all gathered to the opposite corner, distances away from Miss Raviel and Lucas.

The air grew tensed and heavy.

Sparks of lightning ignition throughout the classroom as Miss Raviel made her move.

At first she wanted nothing more than to punch the boy since this was neither the first nor would it be the last but...

She wasn't the only one's suffering this fate, ever teacher of their class also did.

His guardian had been informed and even brought to the academy to speak to him but the boy never changed.

One might ask why she was getting so worked up over him sleeping in her class but the answer to her was simple, what she and many other teachers taught in their academy was essentially for the lives of this students.

Combat practice, P.E, magic and history.

All these were core fundamentals that this children will needed one's the Nightmare king descended one's again.

She herself know what happened when one did not take their lesson serious and she didn't want what happened to her to transpire in the future of the students.

No one could slack off hence she didn't care if she was being too hard because at the end of the day he'll thank her when he was saved by it.

"Get you ass up you little brat."

So she didn't hold back one bit.

He was a vampire and a student of this school a single slap wouldn't do him much harm.

As for her, she could live without a month's pay.
