Chapter 20 - CHAPTER 20:The Most Beautiful Back of the Hokage

"I want to see relevant information about the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan."

Tamura Hao requested access to the records. Although he had watched Naruto in his previous life, this world was real, and what he remembered as anime knowledge needed verification and deeper analysis.

In the future, he would inevitably interact with the Senju and Uchiha—especially in his research on the Sage of Six Paths' legacy: the Sharingan, the so-called "Sage's Body," and the Rinnegan.

"We have plenty of intelligence on those two clans. After the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara rose to prominence, we began intercepting and eliminating clan members who ventured out during missions. Particularly after Hashirama's death and during the First Great Ninja War, we captured several individuals and conducted research and interrogations."

Tutai didn't refuse his request. In fact, letting this promising youth analyze the data might lead to fresh insight.

"I also want to join the campaign against the Uzumaki in the Land of Whirlpools."

Tamura Hao's tone was calm but assertive. His reason was simple: Kaguya's shadow needed more chakra and blood from the Otsutsuki line to strengthen its material manifestation. As direct descendants of Asura Ōtsutsuki, the Uzumaki clan—renowned for their vitality and sealing jutsu—were a perfect target.

Not to mention, multiple villages were joining the attack. The Hidden Mist had the Kaguya clan, potentially providing even more related genetic material.

Of course, he wasn't planning to charge into battle. His intention was to follow from the rear, offer support, and scavenge the battlefield afterward.

As for his current lack of combat power? He, Tamura Hao, had wealth. With enough ryo, he could purchase ten thousand high-grade explosive tags. He could strap them to his body—who would dare mess with him then?

Tutai was momentarily stunned, but after recalling Fukai's earlier appraisal of the boy's situational awareness and defensive methods, he nodded.

"Experiencing war firsthand can be valuable."

He intended to inform Fukai to keep an eye on Hao during the campaign. That way, there would be minimal risk.

After a bit more conversation, Dodai soon arrived to escort Hao elsewhere, while Tutai went straight to the Raikage to report.

Back home, Tamura Hao didn't waste time. He used his chakra absorption technique to draw out residual chakra from the corpses of Kinkaku and Ginkaku, separated the seals engraved on their flesh, and fed the fragments to Kaguya's shadow, which now took on a slightly more refined and condensed form.

From this extraction, an unexpected effect emerged.

"A perception of good and evil… Could this be the Nine-Tails' sensory ability?"

He could feel the vague intent and emotional leanings of people in the surrounding homes—just like the unique sensory skill Naruto displayed after mastering the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

Kinkaku and Ginkaku had devoured the flesh of the Nine-Tails and survived. Their bodies naturally retained some of its chakra. It made sense that this perceptive ability was linked to that inheritance.

"I need to maintain a chakra link with Kaguya's shadow to activate the perception. But I'm not sure what the range is."

Testing the ability, Tamura Hao casually walked around the neighborhood, greeting acquaintances as he passed by.

"About ten meters... Those unfamiliar with me only appear as vague fluctuations, but individuals who regard me with good or evil intent show stronger reactions."

He now had a rough understanding. First, he required an active chakra connection to Kaguya's shadow to use the sensory power—it wasn't his innate ability, but rather a borrowed one.

That validated his earlier hypothesis: Kaguya's phantom could serve as a channel for accessing Otsutsuki abilities.

Second, the perception radius was about ten meters. That limited range was likely due to the insufficient Nine-Tails chakra within the brothers' corpses.

Lastly, this perception was only effective against chakra-possessing individuals—essentially, trained shinobi. Civilians without developed chakra signatures could not be detected.

He discovered another quirk. The target's emotional alignment—good or evil—depended on their perception of his identity. When he used the Transformation Jutsu to change his appearance, the emotional tones shifted as well.

"Once I gain access to a proper sealing jutsu, I'll report this ability to the higher-ups. If used properly, it could help the Third Raikage or Yeyue Ai uncover hidden threats within the village."

Anyone harboring ill intent toward the leadership or village could be flagged. By systematically monitoring or eliminating them, he could purify Hidden Cloud's inner circle.

Such a contribution would surely be deemed significant. And in exchange, he might finally obtain access to Nine-Tails chakra samples to further empower the ability.

His goal was to extend the sensing range to at least one hundred meters—sufficient to detect incoming threats before they entered striking distance. Ten meters was simply too short; even basic Fireball Jutsu could reach him before detection.

As he pondered and experimented with the range, a sharp and scattered but strong malice suddenly entered his perception. Turning his head, he spotted four figures walking nearby. Leading them was none other than Yeyue Ai.

"Ahao!"

Ai spotted him too and called out with a grin.

"Brother Ai!"

Tamura Hao greeted him with a smile, then subtly shifted his gaze to the three people walking beside him—two girls and a boy. The source of the malicious intent was clearly the boy.

The negative emotion wasn't specifically directed at Hao. Rather, it seemed aimed at the entire Hidden Cloud Village.

The two girls, however, emitted no such hostility. Their presence felt neutral—neither openly friendly nor hostile.

One had a warm, gentle expression. The other carried herself with cold arrogance.

Just as Hao assessed them, the trio studied him in return. Given how familiar Ai seemed with this youth—despite their obvious age difference—they suspected he held a special position in the village.

"These three are envoys from Sunagakure. This one is Rasa, this is Karura, and this is Pakura."

Ai gave a quick introduction as Hao glanced curiously at the girl in the sleeveless backless outfit.

"They're guests from the Hidden Sand!"

Tamura Hao quickly realized their purpose. Tsuchidai had mentioned earlier that negotiations were underway with other villages for a coordinated strike against Uzushiogakure.

His eyes lingered on Pakura, the girl in the revealing outfit. With genuine interest, he asked, "Is this Miss Pakura's usual outfit?"

He added sincerely, "It's amazing that your skin remains so clear despite the harsh desert sun in the Land of Wind. May I ask what skincare products you use?"

"The Land of Lightning has high-altitude terrain and intense sun exposure. Many of us suffer from tanned, damaged skin. We're really in need of sun-protection and moisturizing products."

Tamura Hao spoke humbly. In Cloud, nearly half the population had deep brown skin due to constant UV exposure.

Like the Tibetan Plateau in his previous life, Cloud's geography meant thin air, harsh winds, cold temperatures, and strong UV radiation—perfect conditions for skin damage. The right skincare solution could be a market breakthrough.

He knew that women, particularly kunoichi, placed a high value on appearance. If a reliable sunblock or moisturizing cream could be introduced, it would sell explosively.

Pakura—revered in fan circles for her stunning back view—was especially captivating. Hao saw in her a resemblance to his past-life aesthetic ideal. He wondered if she held any beauty secrets.

The three Sand envoys looked at Pakura. Karura, in particular, stared at her companion's glowing skin and then subtly glanced down at her own.

Though her complexion was well maintained, it required constant effort and the inconvenience of being wrapped in layers. Unlike Pakura, she didn't dare wear anything so breezy in the sun.

A flicker of envy passed through her eyes.
