Hey all, I need your help with something.
So usually I have all my chapters in Google doc and from there I upload them on Webnovel and p@treon respectively, but when I'm uploading the chapter (copy and paste) from Google doc to p@treon, for some reason, the spacing in between the sentences is not there.
Do you all know anything? Any brilliant mind here?

"So, Miss Romanoff, what's next? Why are we here? What do you want from me?" I asked a series of questions, wanting to understand the other party's intentions.
"Alex Reath, as a representative of the trans-governmental organization S.H.I.E.L.D., I inform you that your candidacy has been approved for the Avengers initiative," Black Widow stated.
"...Any other clarifications?"
"In the past, some government representatives had the idea of gathering a group of extraordinary people into a single unit so that together they could become something greater: work as a team and, when necessary, fight where countries would be powerless. The Avengers are a group of the most outstanding individuals, called upon to protect the Earth from imminent global threats. Your abilities: spatial storage, high combat performance, analytical mind, cool strategic calculation in combat conditions, and pronounced leadership qualities make you an ideal candidate for the role of Avenger."
Leadership qualities are a plus? I didn't know... Although both Iron Man and Captain America are guilty of this, it doesn't stop them from working as a team. Perhaps every Avenger has this quality, as a unique representative of the human race. However, this is still unexpected. They're predicting me to be an Avengers member, what could be crazier?
"Hm, I have a question," I turned to Natasha. "Why did they choose me, I suppose I understand. But why didn't Gotham's dark protector join the Avengers Initiative? Is he unworthy? Honestly, I'm terribly curious about this fact?"
This is a world of two superhero universes, and in theory there should be both the Avengers and the Justice League. But the question is, how will the heroes be assigned to these two teams? They're not all going to be pulling matches or numbers, are they? For example, why not invite Superman to join the Avengers before he joins the Justice League? How does that work?!
"Apparently, you don't know everything," the girl began to explain. "The United States is practically divided into two opposing camps. They've been waging a silent confrontation with each other since the very founding of the state. These two coalitions control the country, each ruling over its own territory.
This small rivalry never escalated into anything more, because despite all their internal differences, they are part of the same power. But that doesn't change the fact that conflicts did occasionally occur, albeit insignificant ones. This leads to the following: the Marvel faction has no right to interfere in the political, economic, or military affairs of DC, and vice versa. Even though S.H.I.E.L.D. is recognized as a non-governmental organization whose goal is to maintain global security. We still have little influence and power in DC territory, where the federal agency A.R.G.U.S. holds sway. Because of this, we cannot act rashly and accept into our ranks people living on the territory of the faction we oppose."
I never thought that in this merged universe, two comics would still be trying to hog the blanket for themselves. It seems the rivalry between Marvel and DC is sacred. This is probably why the League of Shadows and the Hand dislike each other so much, and why A.R.G.U.S. and S.H.I.E.L.D. are constantly fighting for the primacy of their position.
Hmm, so how is the president elected in a situation like this, and where is the presidential administration located if there are two Washington cities? I decided to ask someone who knows.
"A representative of any faction can become a presidential candidate. After winning the election, the president will work from a residence located on the territory of the political party for which he was nominated. But it doesn't matter which side he's on, the country still has only one president. After all, as I already said, despite all the differences, the United States is one country. Moreover, only the highest echelons of power know about this hidden centuries-old rivalry. The common people are unaware of the internal rivalry."
"Quite interesting... But am I not a resident of the DC territory? How did I get involved in the Avengers initiative if I'm from the other side?"
"Everything has its pitfalls," Black Widow said confidently. "In your case, it could be called 'dual citizenship'. The thing is, you were born in the land of Marvel, but grew up in the domain of DC. So, technically, we're not breaking any agreements."
Ha, well... I didn't think I was that special. Somehow, I didn't pay attention to where I was born, because, as a person from another world, it didn't bother me in the least. But my gut tells me that someone has something to do with it. I'm sure they are pulling the strings to make sure my life doesn't seem so sweet. Ah well, that's not the point. It's time to give the lady a fitting answer.
"Miss Romanov," I said, shoving my hands into my jacket pockets. "I think I'll do what any self-respecting Avengers candidate would... I'll refuse your tempting offer and say no."
"I'll persuade you," she smiled like a sly fox.
"What's the reason for your persistence? Frankly, I don't consider myself a worthy candidate. I'm unpredictable, narcissistic, and I don't work as part of a team."
"I didn't know that," Natasha noted, but she didn't back down. "I suppose my refusal means nothing and I'll still be listed as a potential Avenger, right?"
"When a global catastrophe arises, there won't be time for investigations… You, like the others, will be called upon as Earth's last defense."
"I bet Fury won't regret this decision in the future."
"You know the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.?" the agent was surprised.
"I don't know him personally, if that's what you're asking. But I know Coulson and Maria Hill. We met once in the cold lands of the Arctic. A rather pleasant man and a very attractive woman."
"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by your knowledge anymore. Could it be that you've also heard of the Avengers Initiative before?"
"Let's leave this question unanswered and not ruin the suspense. Now that we've sorted everything out, I believe we should leave this park and move on."
"I'd like to know, am I fired?" our financial director decided to clarify.
"Why would that be? I'm quite happy with your work, so don't even think about leaving the company. For your information, the contract you signed contains your real first and last name. Natalia Alianovna Romanova. You should have read more carefully…"
"I'm surprised," the girl noted sincerely. "But that's actually a good thing; from now on, I can keep an open eye on you. You're the most enigmatic member of the Avengers, and I've been ordered to uncover all your secrets to prevent any unforeseen circumstances in the future."
"I wish you luck with that…"
