"You're a girl! How can you be more skilled than me?"
The young man asked in confusion as he swiftly dodged the long, slender, and fair foot of Liang Yi, which shot toward him at lightning speed. He looked at her with bewilderment, clearly surprised by the precision and speed of her movements far beyond what he had expected. His curiosity caused him to momentarily hesitate, though it didn't stop his own movements in the slightest.
"You're just weak," Liang Yi replied in a cold, emotionless tone before swiftly striking her palm at the young man's waist. He managed to dodge just in time, but in the blink of an eye, her foot came crashing toward his chest with fierce force.
But Liang Yi wasn't about to let him escape so easily. She extended one fair, slender hand and instantly caught his foot. The young man froze. The strength in her grip rendered him immobile despite his efforts to struggle. Before he could regain his composure,
Liang Yi used all her strength to lift him up and spun, hurling him violently into the sandy ground. A loud thud echoed through the area as a spray of sand erupted from the impact.
Before the young man could fully rise to his feet, Liang Yi's delicate white hand grabbed him by the neck with ease, as if he were an object she could manipulate at will.
A cold breeze swept by. The young man's body floated slightly in the air, swaying with the wind. His eyes locked onto Liang Yi, and at that moment, he saw her black hair with crimson tips fluttering gracefully, making her appear even more elegant and captivating.
Liang Yi's face was as beautiful as a dream. Despite her youth, her beauty drew the gaze of all around without her even realizing it. Her charm was so powerful that the young man stood frozen, momentarily dazed. It felt as though he had fallen into an inescapable dream.
Eventually, the young man lifted both hands to grasp the delicate white hand that held him, trying to break free. But the girl before him showed no intention of releasing him. She remained firmly planted, unwavering, not allowing him to escape her grasp even slightly.
"Next time, don't meddle in things that don't concern you. If there is a next time, I will bury you alive!"
Liang Yi's icy voice pierced the silence, and the surrounding air suddenly turned frigid as if coated in frost. With a merciless motion, she flung the young man away like one might shake dust off a sleeve.
"Urgh!"
The sound of a body hitting the ground echoed, followed by a sharp inhale. The young man, who had been thrown aside, struggled to sit up, clutching his stomach with a grimace. He let out a soft sigh, but instead of fear or anger, his face showed amusement.
"You're a cold and ruthless woman, aren't you?" he muttered to himself before looking up and brushing dust off his clothes. "Usually, women are gentle with me because I'm handsome."
His brown eyes sparkled mischievously, and he chuckled softly without a care in the world. He adjusted his posture for comfort and continued:
"I got involved with you because I found you interesting. And also... you're incredibly beautiful. I like you. Would you like to be my wife?"
His deep brown eyes gleamed with sincerity and teasing humor as he gazed at the girl before him.
"Nonsense."
Liang Yi's voice was sharp and cold. She turned abruptly to look at him, her dark eyes flashing with a blade-like intensity. She clearly didn't appreciate his words.
But instead of being intimidated, the young man smiled. "You're so beautiful. Come on, say something sweet to me."
His smile was warm and relaxed, but his eyes held true sincerity it wasn't just playful banter.
"It seems you really do want to be buried alive, don't you?"
Liang Yi's voice dropped into a chilling register. Her gaze darkened like storm clouds, glowing with a murderous gleam that sent shivers down the young man's spine.
Her expression was emotionless, like ice devoid of even a sliver of mercy. She stepped forward slowly, yet each step radiated immense pressure, as if the air itself was being crushed.
The young man felt as if he were staring death in the face. He blinked rapidly, and his expression turned pale in an instant. "W-Wait! I was just joking!"
He raised both hands, waving them in surrender to signal the girl to stop.
"Don't come any closer! I give up!" he said with a slight tremble in his voice, retreating cautiously. "I won't tease you again I promise!"
But Liang Yi didn't stop. She stepped in closer, like a predator closing in on its prey. The young man swallowed hard, and his eyes widened in panic.
"Is she really going to kill me!?"
His heart pounded furiously, while the girl's expression remained as cold as ever.
Suddenly, Liang Yi stopped. Her icy gaze flicked down at a small girl who had stepped forward to block her path without fear.
This little girl had a sweet, innocent face and jet-black hair. She wore a pure white garment. Her appearance was gentle, but her bravery stood in stark contrast. She looked up at Liang Yi with pleading eyes, pressing her small hands together in a respectful gesture and spoke in a soft, gentle voice:
"Please let my brother go. Don't kill him. I apologize on his behalf. He may have a sharp tongue, but he's not a bad person like you think."
