"What did you do to me?"
There was no longer that carefree tone in Shaka's voice when he said this.
Instead, his voice became guarded and cold.
In fact, it even seemed like his voice was shaking a bit. Only if one listened closely, they could tell that this wasn't a normal shaking, but rather the shaking that came from something that he couldn't control.
It was clear that there was something happening with Shaka's body.
As for the specifics…there was only one person that knew what was happening.
It was the one person with a smile on their face.
When Shaka saw that this person wasn't saying anything, he tried to push through the feeling that filled his body. But in the end, he just wasn't able to even stand steady with the sensation that filled him.
It was as if he was about to collapse at any moment and the only thing that was holding him up was his own willpower.
"What are you idiots doing? Get him!"
Since he couldn't do it himself, the only thing that he could do was count on the followers that came with him.
When they heard him shouting at him, the followers snapped out of their daze and hesitantly moved forward. They had seen the things that Shaka had done to their comrades, so they were afraid of what he would do now.
But if they knew that he had been completely incapacitated, then there was no way that they would have followed his orders that easily.
When I saw these followers moving forward, I didn't have any fear.
After all, the only one that was dangerous was Shaka.
The rest of them were nothing more than cannon fodder that would be easy to take down.
Once they decided to go through with it, the followers seemed to be filled with a strange form of confidence as they started roaring as they charged. Though to one that had a sharp eye, they could see that this was just the followers trying to force themselves into it.
I didn't take a single step until they were moving past Shaka.
Only when they were beside him did I charge forward with my arms raised.
The followers had confused looks on their faces as they couldn't understand why I was swinging my arms at their iron weapons, but they soon understood what was going on when their weapons snapped in half and they were sent flying.
"What a monster!"
That was the only thing that they thought as they were thrown through the air.
After sending a few of them flying, the others seemed less confident about fighting me. They suddenly stopped charging and used a different method as they tried to surround me.
But while they were doing this, I asked them, "Why do you think he's not doing anything to help you? It's because he can't move at all."
Shaka's expression turned ugly when he heard this before he said, "Do you all want to die?"
The fear that I put in them wasn't stronger than the fear that Shaka had instilled in them over time. It seemed that I had completely underestimated how Shaka treated his lackeys, even though the signs were all there based on how he used them.
In that case, the only thing that was left to do was to…
"Don't blame me, blame yourselves for choosing the wrong person to follow."
A few minutes later, all of the followers were lying on the ground.
They had bruises and blood stains all over them, but there wasn't a single one of them that was dead.
Once I was finished knocking all of them out, I turned back to look at Shaka.
He was actually on the ground now as he couldn't remain standing anymore. Though based on the look on his face, it seemed that he was still trying to break free of the thing that was restraining him, but there was nothing that he could do against it.
It was a special poison that had been prepared just to deal with him.
As for how it was administered…
"What are you doing?" Shaka said in a wary voice when he saw me approach him.
I didn't say anything as I raised one hand to touch the wound on my other arm.
It had been a while, so the wound had stopped bleeding, but I still wiped off the blood that was still on my arm. Once I wiped off the blood, I brought it to Shaka's face and wiped it on his cheek.
Shaka glared at me when he saw this, but then there was a look of slow understanding that appeared on his face.
"Your blood?"
I gave a simple nod in response without explaining it.
But what had happened was that I had ingested a poison that was currently flowing through my blood, which turned it into poison blood. But that poison didn't affect me because of the specialty of my Berserker Job.
At the same time, I was able to control the poison in the blood to enter Shaka since I could draw on the ability of the former demon king. Even though I didn't wear the Sanguine Bracelet, just wearing it gave Val Zahad the powers of the former demon king.
The Shared Stats skill didn't seem to care that it was a skill from a piece of equipment as it shared it with all of us avatars.
This discovery was quite an important one as it meant that we would be able to swap out different equipment for different skills.
It really made the Shared Stats skill busted…
But right now, this was being used to take care of Shaka in front of me.
Once I poisoned him again, I didn't even bother restraining him as I lifted him off the ground and threw him over my shoulder.
I knew how strong this poison was, so I wasn't worried about him hurting me.
The only thing that I was actually worried about was him succumbing to the poison before I brought him back to town.
