Chapter 467 - Chapter 468: Edward: Wait a second… Did a fellow writer make this time-travel script?!

"Boss, one of the screenwriters in our company wrote a TV drama and wants to hear your opinion on it."

Zoroark walked in as it spoke, addressing Edward. Edward scratched his head.

He had originally planned to chat with Kawano Naoko about the follow-up work, but he didn't expect Zoroark to show up. Still, since it was here, he might as well take a look at the script.

So, Edward picked up the script.

"...'After Time-Traveling, My School Life of Starting a Harem'?" Edward muttered to himself, his eyes widening in shock as he looked at Zoroark.

(TN: I don't this anime guys, I'm sorry.)

"Senbon-kun, we're having a party today. Do you want to come along?"

A girl with long purple hair knocked lightly on his desk.

The boy named Senbon seemed to realize someone was calling him only after a delay. He lifted his head and looked at the girl in front of him. "Fujishima-san, sorry, I still have something to do today." After that, the boy immediately rested his head back on the desk. He wanted to make use of the break time to rest as much as possible.

"Yuta, you're as busy as always."

Sitting behind him, Rukawa watched Fujishima leave grumpily. He smiled and poked Senbon Yuta's back.

"Rukawa, do you know what I need the most right now? Sleep. Yesterday my little sister tormented me the entire night. At this point, I feel like if I close my eyes, I could literally die on the spot."

Yuta answered without even lifting his head.

"Tch. Terrible metaphor. Speaking of your sister… she's Chihon Kaede from the first-year division, right?"

Rukawa despised his best friend's dramatic tone, then curiously asked.

"What?" Yuta's reaction was far greater than Rukawa expected. When he saw Yuta suddenly spring up and turn around to stare at him, Rukawa felt like Yuta's reaction speed was actually a bit faster than his own.

"You didn't know? What were you doing during the opening ceremony today?"

Rukawa was genuinely confused as to why Yuta didn't know his sister had transferred into their school. Were their sibling relations that bad?

"Oh my god, I was napping throughout the opening ceremony! Hurry, tell me—how do you know Kaede came to study here?!"

"Yuta, I think you really need more rest. You didn't even notice your sister standing on stage giving a speech as an outstanding representative? No wonder she looked like she wanted to kill someone during that speech."

Senbon Yuta covered his face with both hands.

"It's over. My life is completely, utterly over. Rukawa, remember—when you visit me in the hospital, bring lots of manga. Also, bring your PSP. Otherwise, I'll be really bored."

Rukawa stared at Yuta in disbelief.

"It can't be that serious… You just didn't notice your own sister. And if I remember right, Kaede's a very gentle beauty. She only talks a little less than most people."

Yuta blinked. He turned around, scribbled something on his desk, then handed the paper to Rukawa.

Rukawa glanced down—

There was nothing on it. Completely blank.

Yuta sighed.

It's over. If he had known this would happen, he would rather not have time-traveled at all. All he did was try to save someone and got hit by a truck, right? He wanted to go back to his parents and play with Snorlax!

"Yuta, why are you giving me a blank page?" Rukawa felt his friend was becoming weirder by the day. They were second-year high school students—why was he playing with invisible ink?

Yuta looked at Rukawa strangely. He had clearly written something. Could it be…?

Realizing a terrifying possibility, he hurriedly grabbed the page back. But this time, different from before, Yuta saw clearly what was written on it:

"You bastard of a brother—come to the rooftop at noon."

"Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no! This time I'm really done for!"

Yuta collapsed onto the desk, burying his head in despair. He felt like he already knew the fate awaiting him.

Lunchtime arrived quickly. With a miserable expression, Yuta carried his lunchbox and trudged up to the rooftop. When he pushed open the metal door, he saw a beautiful girl with long black hair standing there, staring at him.

"Ahaha… isn't this my lovely little sister? The weather sure is nice today, hahaha…"

Yuta rambled nonsense, desperately trying to stall for time.

The girl's face carried a dangerous smile, and at that moment, Yuta heard her voice echo directly in his mind:

"Stupid brother. Don't you have anything to say about what happened today?"

As she spoke, the once-clear sky suddenly gathered thick dark clouds. Students and teachers of Shinze Prefectural Private High School looked up in shock. Yuta, however, was not surprised. He knew this scene all too well—this was the result of the ability of the girl before him.

Chihon Kaede—Yuta's little sister.

A sister with no blood relation to him; their parents had remarried and brought the two children together. Yuta only met her for the first time in middle school.

Kaede was unmistakably a beautiful girl. Having such a sister should have been a blessing—at least for Yuta—until he discovered…

…that his sister was an esper.

Was there anything wrong with having an esper for a sister?

If you asked that, Yuta could only tell you—

VERY wrong. Extremely wrong. Horribly wrong.

With tears of experience, he could say:

Whenever he had even the faintest inappropriate thought, he would get telekinetically hammered from across the room. Yuta felt like he had nearly mastered the art of Iron Head Technique thanks to her psychic beatings. Because Kaede possessed telepathy and psychokinesis.

After their parents passed away unexpectedly, Yuta wanted to help his cute sister with the laundry—that should be normal, right? But Kaede's clothes were always immaculate, because she could easily clean them with her psychic powers. He never had a chance to suggest anything.

When it rained on weekends and Yuta wanted to sleep in?

Impossible.

If Kaede wanted, she could instantly disperse the clouds and shine sunlight straight onto his butt. And when he angered her? He once had to attend school for a week with soaked clothes.

So, when he saw the sky darken above him, Yuta's reaction wasn't surprise—it was the instinctive urge to quickly write a will and prepare for death. Because this scene meant his sister was really, truly angry—the kind of angry that couldn't be pacified.

Yet looking at Kaede pouting unhappily, Yuta still felt she looked cute.

Such a cute esper little sister, wasn't she?

"…Psychic powers. Time-travel."

Edward's expression turned thoughtful. Which screenwriter wrote this? A colleague?

Something wasn't adding up. He continued reading.

"W-What nonsense are you saying?!"

Kaede's furious face instantly turned red. She glared at Yuta. Because she had telepathy, she heard every one of Yuta's inner thoughts just now—and it left her flustered.

Having known her so long, Yuta understood exactly what kind of person his sister was. He immediately knelt down in a perfect formal bow.

"I'm sorry! Please forgive me!"

Seeing Yuta's cheap, overly familiar apology—one he used every time—Kaede couldn't help but laugh. Hearing her laugh, Yuta lifted his head and said sincerely:

"Kaede, you know… you look really pretty when you smile."

His tone was so genuine that Kaede's fists clenched in embarrassment. With a faint, dangerous smile, she slowly approached him.

"Tell me, my foolish brother… you know I'm an esper, right?"

Yuta nodded. Of course he knew.

"Then you should also know that the dirty thought that flashed through your mind when you looked at me just now… I sensed all of it, right?"

Her voice now had a clear grinding-teeth edge to it.

"Ah?" Cold sweat streamed down Yuta's face.

"Go die!! You perverted, disgusting brother!!!"

Kaede dashed forward at frightening speed. Yuta felt his entire body freeze as if bound by invisible chains—he could only watch helplessly as Kaede closed in.

BOOM!!

A deafening impact.

Kaede exhaled calmly, dusted her hands off, stood up, and walked downstairs. At the same time, her voice echoed in Yuta's head:

"Today's lunch was terrible. Who told you to put green peppers?!"

"You threw me off an arch bridge over ONE green pepper?!"

Yuta felt like his neck was about to snap.

Was an esper terrifying? Yes.

Was an esper who also practiced martial arts terrifying?

Absolutely horrifying.

The clouds dispersed just as abruptly as they came. This phenomenon drew the attention of several meteorologists, who tried to investigate—but no matter how they researched, they couldn't figure anything out. No one imagined that the cause was a psychic girl throwing a tantrum.

Senbon Yuta stretched lazily. He picked up the alarm clock beside his bed—it showed 9:30 a.m.

"I remember Kaede has club activities today, right? So touching… I finally get to wake up naturally and not be teleported to Antarctica for a cold shower."

Rubbing his messy hair, Yuta headed toward the kitchen to make breakfast.

The house was silent. In fact, only Yuta and Kaede lived here now.

The true definition of a house and a little sister.

But this didn't mean Yuta was some kind of winner in life. As long as his adorable sister was at home, Yuta could never sleep in. Being thrown to Antarctica for a shower was practically routine.

Yawning, Yuta opened the curtains. The morning sunlight fell across his face, making him squint. A wonderful weekend had just begun.

Wearing slippers, he shuffled into the kitchen. He looked over the food stocks—milk and eggs were consumed the fastest. As for vegetables, green peppers were eaten the least. Yuta clearly remembered stuffing Kaede's lunchbox full of green peppers to get revenge.

"Ah, let's make egg fried rice."

He picked up an egg, set it aside, and heated the oil with practiced ease. He didn't feel like cooking noodles, and bread with milk didn't suit his stomach.

Yuta's cooking skills were excellent—probably because he had spent so long preparing Kaede's lunches. Under the pressure of his picky sister, he had leveled up into a genuinely skilled cook.

"I'm home!"

A pleasant, melodious voice sounded—but it made Yuta, who was plating the fried rice, involuntarily shiver.

"Brother? You got up so early today? Are you making breakfast?"

Abruptly, Kaede appeared on a chair in the living room, her voice echoing directly inside Yuta's mind.

A moment later, Yuta watched helplessly as the plate of freshly made fried rice—already perfectly seasoned—floated up and flew straight to the table, becoming Kaede's breakfast.

Resistance was futile, meaningless, destined to fail. Yuta had long grown used to this. At first he had tried to assert his dignity as an older brother, but in front of his esper sister, he had surrendered all dignity and knelt.

"Kaede, don't you have club activities today?"

Yuta heated the oil again, preparing a second batch.

This time I'm adding green peppers. Lots and lots of green peppers!

"Brother, I heard that inner monologue."

Kaede glanced toward the kitchen.

Yuta showed no reaction. Of course he knew she would hear it. That was the point—otherwise she'd steal the second fried rice too.

Sure enough, when Yuta finished cooking, Kaede didn't touch his portion. Perhaps the mountain of green peppers exerted a strong enough deterrent effect.

"Kaede, here's your milk."

Yuta brought his own fried rice to the table and set down a box of milk beside her.

"Brother, we do have club activities today. But the club assigned us homework—to let our family eat the food we cook and then give feedback. Want to try mine?" Kaede sipped the cold milk, visibly satisfied. Drinking a cold glass of milk in the morning was her habit.

Hearing this, Yuta brightened slightly.

So his cute sister learned to cook too? Could it be that his dream future—lying in his room playing games while his adorable sister called him down to eat—was finally coming?

Kaede squinted at him silently. She really wanted to remind him:

Even if she learned to cook, that future would never happen.

Also—

"Is that your idea of a beautiful life? You have no ambition at all."

Kaede suddenly felt disappointed in her brother.

"So where's your cooking?"

Yuta quickly changed the topic. He wasn't about to admit that his beautiful life was indeed that simple. He had never wanted to be anything special—just to live a life he liked.

Kaede opened her bag and took out a lunchbox. It was wrapped in layers of newspaper, and on the outermost layer someone had even drawn a radiation hazard warning.

Yuta stared silently at the object on the table.

Why did he have such a strong sense of impending doom?

Especially that radiation symbol—why did it make him feel like he was in danger?

Kaede glanced at the drawing, blushed, and waved her hand. The symbol vanished as if erased.

Yuta frowned. He looked at Kaede; she nodded, indicating it was safe.

"…Which screenwriter wrote this again?"

Edward could no longer keep a straight face. This bizarre plot was making his scalp tingle.

And yet—

From the perspective of this world… this plot was…

…actually quite unique.

That was the only way to describe it.

After all—

In the Pokémon world, the concept of time-traveling had never existed.
