Chapter 18 - Increasing Strength...

In the blink of an eye, fifteen days had passed. Kranos had been training alone throughout this period, and his progress had been remarkable. He could now perform the fifth-stage sword techniques with ease and could barely execute the sixth stage as well.

His control over the Knight's Breathing Technique had also improved—he could now hold each pose for about an hour. This was the result of Kranos's intense and focused training. He barely spared time for anything else other than eating

If it weren't for the medicinal baths Mother keeps preparing for me, I doubt I would have progressed this quickly, he thought.

"It's finally time to receive an elemental cultivation technique from my parents," Kranos muttered with a faint smile as he rose from bed. Unlike his usual habit of staying up all night, he had rested properly the night before. He wanted to be in perfect condition before beginning his cultivation for the day.

Without waiting to be called for breakfast, Kranos rushed out of his room. As expected, his mother was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast, while his father sat in the parlor, studying a scroll that was as thick as a book.

Seeing Kranos coming out, they were surprised for a moment before quickly nodding in acknowledgment; Kranos greeted them respectfully as well. After which he proceeded to help his mother in the kitchen while also setting the dining for breakfast.

Soon, Kranos and his parents were seated together for breakfast. For his parents—both terrifying experts—this was one of the few joyful moments they truly cherished. Eating with their son was a way of sharing the warmness of family.

Halfway through breakfast, Kranos decided it was time to speak up. He immediately asked in a low voice, "Father, Mother, I want to start cultivating with my space element. Please help me with the cultivation techniques."

In this world, techniques were categorized into three types: Cultivation techniques that are practically used to raise one's overall cultivation level.

Elemental techniques, which are used to deepen one's understanding and use of a specific elemental affinity and comprehend special elemental skills. And Martial arts techniques, which were basically combat-based skills used by those without elemental affinity, often incorporating weapon use and mimicking elemental attacks.

It can also similarly be used by those with an elemental affinity, this could also be considered an advantage of having an elemental affinity.

Seeing the slight hesitation on his son's face, Kranos's father chuckled and tossed him a spatial ring. So, you've finally asked, son. Your mother and I prepared everything for you the moment we confirmed your space element."

"Thanks, Dad. Thank you, Mom," Kranos said with heartfelt gratitude, prompting a small giggle from his mother.

"Dad… about Teacher Donald," Kranos seemed to recall something as he spoke, and a concerned look flickered across his face.

"Don't worry about him. Just focus on your cultivation. Everything will be alright."

Hearing his father's words, Kranos breathed out a sigh of relief. Previously he was hesitant to reveal his cultivation to Donald because he didn't fully trust his teacher, but now, since Father said everything is alright, then everything is truly alright!

After breakfast, Kranos didn't head to the training grounds behind the house as usual. Instead, he returned to his room, ready to begin his elemental cultivation.

I wonder what the difference between comprehending time-related abilities from my memory and learning the elemental techniques from these scrolls is," he thought.

The space element was one of the most profound, alongside the shadow, soul, and summoning elements. However, the time element was undoubtedly the most complex and elusive of them all.

He extended his consciousness into the spatial ring and found a collection of glittering treasures—some of which he had read about in the royal library and others which he had never heard about. Fortunately, there was a thick book tucked in one corner, likely containing information about each treasure.

He reached out his senses and retrieved the book. After reading through it thoroughly, he was able to identify the effects of most pills—they were primarily focused on enhancing his cultivation. Based on his estimation, the collection was sufficient to boost him to the Golden Core Realm if he focused on nothing but swallowing the pills.

His parents could provide more, but they held back because they didn't want his cultivation to become reliant on pills, and the rapid improvement of cultivation could potentially affect his future cultivations.

However, based on Kranos' estimation, the treasures would only allow him to reach the foundation establishment realm because of the unique cultivation manual he created.

With that in mind, he took out the first medicinal pill from the spatial ring and swallowed it. Immediately, a wave of medicinal energy surged through his body, spreading mana along with it. At the same time, his comprehension of spatial techniques seemed to deepen at an accelerated pace.

Most of the pills his parents gave him contained spatial properties, designed to aid him in understanding spatial techniques more efficiently. Without hesitation he gave a command for his body to subconsciously be absorbing the wisps of mana from the medicinal pill and condensing them into orbs while he opened another ancient scroll and began cultivating.

The technique he started with was called Spatial Flash, it was quite similar to teleportation from his previous life. Unlike time-based techniques, which took him a long time to grasp, spatial techniques seemed much easier to comprehend.

While Kranos was engrossed in cultivation, time passed, and in the blink of an eye, three hours had gone by in a flash. I've finally finished breaking through. Kranos sighed in amazement; it only took him three hours to condense a second orb of mana.

So I'm now a second-stage Qi Condensation practitioner? He mused, a satisfied smile forming on his lips. He closed his eyes once more and continued cultivating.

Simultaneously, his comprehension of Spatial Flash deepened. Kranos felt that, with just a few more days, he could master the technique completely.

Since Spatial Flash involved traversing space, it required a profound understanding of the spatial elements around him. By aligning the technique with the subtle fluctuations of mana in the environment, he would soon be able to teleport across short distances with relative ease.
