Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Fighting the Mad Storm Part 4

'Activate Killer Aura!'

A powerful energy burst from Vio's body as he kept his arms raised, enduring the endless onslaught of attacks.

The energy engulfed Hamim, but his rage was so intense that he didn't notice—until suddenly, both his strength and speed dropped at the same time.

[Shield Durability: 210/2,000]

Vio seized the moment, abandoning defense to attack. He threw a punch with all his strength aimed at Hamim's face, which was now clearly visible.

"Boom!"

The impact bent Hamim's upper body backward. But his mind was locked in attack mode. Just before he could be thrown back, he used the wind, forcing his sword arm downward—then snapping it upward at terrifying speed.

"Shink!"

The sword sliced clean through Vio's shield. Hamim was flung back, crashing into the rocks for what felt like the millionth time.

[Shield Durability: 0/2,000]

'Damn it!'

The sword was knocked high into the air after delivering its final, devastating strike—shattering Vio's shield completely.

Vio dropped to one knee, his face filled with frustration.

No matter what he did, that damn green shield always appeared at the last second to protect Hamim.

"Aaaaah!" Hamim let out a hysterical scream, violently lifting himself from the ground. Foam bubbled at his mouth, and every trace of enjoyment vanished from his face. Only pure, raw fury remained.

Hamim's unstable emotions confused Vio, but he didn't care. Another reckless charge was coming—this time, without a shield to protect him.

Vio pushed himself up just as the falling sword neared the ground.

At the perfect moment, he punched the sword's hilt, sending it rocketing toward Hamim—who was already rushing forward.

"Boom!"

"Shink!"

This time, the sword plunged into Hamim's shoulder.

As Hamim reached to pull it out, Vio dashed forward and threw a dagger—embedding it in Hamim's other hand. Apparently, sharp objects were the one thing the green shield ignored.

The moment Hamim saw the dagger again, it was as if he forgot everything else—his only focus was removing it.

Vio used the chaos to close the distance.

Just as Hamim's fingers nearly grasped the dagger, Vio snatched it first. The instant it left Hamim's hand, his grip tightened around Vio's wrist as if the dagger was all that existed.

Vio stored it in inventory—only to retrieve it with his free hand and stab it straight into Hamim's stomach.

"Ah!" Hamim howled, summoning ice shards around himself as a barrier.

Vio took a moment to break through them—enough time for Hamim to rip the sword from his shoulder. A vertical slash came down the moment Vio shattered the last ice fragment.

'Son of a—'

The sword, now crackling with lightning, carved a burning line across Vio's side. The electricity made the pain even worse.

[HP: 6,012/9,000 Decreased]

Vio's eyes widened in shock. The damage was terrifying.

Instinct told him to back off and rethink his approach—but before he could move, a strange ripple brushed against his back.

'What?!'

He turned—nothing was there.

Then it hit him.

'A trick!'

The distraction worked. When his focus snapped back, Hamim's sword was already rushing toward him at full speed, blinding sparks of lightning surging straight for his chest.

Vio moved fast—barely managing to block the sword's advance by gripping it with both hands. But the moment the charged blade struck, a searing pain shot through him.

"Sand-Cat's poison!" Hamim said, regaining his smile. "You should have taken advantage of it, even though it's a bad choice with me."

This time, Hamim used the wind differently—not to push Vio back, but to launch himself forward.

The force pressed the sword even harder against Vio's grip.

Vio braced himself to resist—but something caught his eye.

Ice spikes are forming beneath Hamim's feet.

Vio immediately jumped back, avoiding the trap before it could freeze his legs.

But every step backward made Hamim's charge even faster.

Lightning crackled wildly around him, and before Vio knew it, His back slammed against a towering rock wall.

"Boom!"

"Argh!" A groan came from between the gaps of Vio's teeth, clenching against each other. Bulging veins appeared on his face, and a Hamim smile only made his anger rise.

With nowhere left to retreat, the sword began slipping from his grip—edging dangerously close to his chest.

"Rat!" Hamim jeered. "Your fun little journey in the mountains ends here."

Vio smirked anyway. A desperate idea had crossed his mind—one that made him uneasy.

But there was no other way; he commanded his chest to open, and cracks spread outward, tearing through his clothes. Hamim's eyes widened at the sight—something he had never seen before.

"What kind of monster are you?!"

Vio opened CyborgHeart.

'Surge Strike.'

Electric currents surged outward, latching onto Hamim's sword—and then spreading through his entire body. But nothing happened.

"Lightning doesn't affect me. Haven't you figured that out yet?" Hamim taunted. "Let me show you what real lightning is."

From Hamim sparks of lightning were generated, blending with the electricity of Vio, but Hamim's lightning also penetrated Vio's body, who was the only one in pain here.

Vio's electricity production halted—he switched to absorbing Hamim's power instead.

[HP: 5,211/9,000 Decreased]

But it was dangerous.

His health was draining, and the CyborgHeart's capacity was limited.

If he didn't stop charging soon, it would explode.

Vio had something else in mind.

The energy stored in CyborgHeart was being redirected throughout his body, flowing into his limbs instead of remaining concentrated in one place. This took Hamim's control over it away, making it his own—no longer harmful to his body.

But he still needed to release it. And the sword was still pushing forward. Worse, the CyborgHeart was now completely exposed.

So, he moved on to his second plan—draining Hamim.

The energy flowing from Hamim was expelled outward, unleashing wild electric currents that struck everything in their path—rocks, trees, anything nearby.

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"

Suddenly, the entire battlefield became a storm of lightning.

Hamim realized what was happening and immediately tried to stop generating lightning. But he couldn't.

Shock flashed across his face—Vio noticed.

He didn't need to understand why. He only needed to take advantage of it.

Vio commanded his body to absorb even more. The energy surged, growing even wilder. His eyes glowed with a terrifying light.

Then, he opened his mouth—A powerful burst of electricity erupted from within, slamming into Hamim's head.

It didn't affect him in terms of harm, but the force of the push it created was enough to move him. Hamim felt as if someone was pushing his head backward. Well, in reality, someone was doing just that.

Hamim became unable to maintain the thrust of his sword toward Vio's chest. Due to the insane exhaustion he had endured from generating lightning, he decided to refrain from attacking and retreat.

But the moment his sword wavered, Vio understood it was a chance. He pressed the blade aside, freeing his body, and even drove the sword into the rock that had been holding him captive.

A punch smashed into Hamim's head, making him stumble.

Another sent him reeling backward—toward the rock.

In an instant, Hamim was trapped.

The rock behind him.

Vio is in front of him.

A third punch was delayed by Vio's foot slipping on the unstable ground—giving Hamim just enough time to yank his sword free and block.

"Clang!"

Hamim's strength had been drained to its lowest; Vio's was at its peak, thanks to Hamim.

[EP: 151/200]

The force of the clash sent Hamim's sword arm slamming against the rock behind him.

Now—No energy. No space to summon the wind, that meant one thing.

It was time for Vio's favorite sport—boxing.

Specifically, punching.

Vio unleashed a relentless barrage of punches.

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"

Hamim trembled with each blow, losing control of his body—unable to even catch his breath, let alone counterattack.

Then—It happened. The thing Vio hated the most—ice shards.

But this time, they weren't forming to attack. They were forming to defend.

Shards blocked his punches before they could land.

The attacks that never missed were now hitting solid barriers—slowly covering Hamim's entire body.

'Damn it! As if the green shield wasn't enough—now this?!'

Vio's CyborgHeart flared, sparks crackling across his body.

His punches became even faster.

This time, His fists were faster than the ice forming.

Out of every ten punches, at first, three landed. Then five. Now, seven.

But that small shift gave Hamim an opening.

He tightened his grip on the sword.

Summoned the last remnants and lunged.

The blade shot toward Vio's neck—between two punches.

Vio knew blocking it would be pointless.

If he stopped attacking, the ice would completely shield Hamim.

If he blocked the sword, he'd be left vulnerable anyway.

He had only one move left.

Vio clenched his fist. Electricity flared around it, glowing intensely.

He threw himself sideways—And launched his punch toward Hamim's head.

The sword slashed deep across Vio's neck. At the same time, his fist struck Hamim's jaw.

A jet burst from his elbow, igniting flames—adding an explosive force behind the strike.

"BOOOOOOM!"

Vio's fist crashed into Hamim's face.

A faint tremor ran through Hamim's skull—then his head twisted sharply to the side.

"Boom!"

The force sent Vio flying sideways, slamming onto the ground.

Steam rose from his body in waves.

Frustrated, snapped his gaze back to Hamim.

The green shield was still there.

His punch hadn't broken it.

But—Hamim's head had twisted so violently that his spine had snapped, choking his breath.

His head spun multiple times before finally settling—his body half-buried in the rock behind him.

[Mission 'Kill or Be Killed' Completed.]

[The hero has done something that shakes not only Mount Aiz but the entire chain of the Furious Mountains]
