Chapter 10 - The Firestarter Protocol

Kael stood before the central holo-map in his war chamber.

The stars moved at his command — systems unknown to the Republic, unseen by the Sith. He wasn't ready to take on the galactic titans.

Not yet.

But his world was no longer enough.

He needed a testing ground.

A conquest.

The Target: Feron-4

The chosen world was Feron-4 — a low-tech Outer Rim planet tucked behind a cluster of asteroid fields. In galactic records, it was a footnote. An ancient place of ruins and tribal bloodlines, mostly ignored by smugglers due to its unstable magnetic field.

But Kael had intel the galaxy didn't.

Feron-4 had an ancient vault buried beneath its southern hemisphere, and the nomadic clans who lived there spoke of "the Sleepers" — metallic gods buried in the stone.

Pattern echoes.

It was the perfect place to test his ideology — and his army.

Mission: Subjugate Feron-4

Kael authorized the operation.

A covert drop, a small detachment of Reforged troopers — six in total — accompanied by the newly ascended Tessara, now known as Tessara-1 in the war logs.

[Mission: Firestarter Protocol]

Objective: Eliminate planetary leadership, acquire relic coordinates, establish forward Pattern base

Enemy Force: Estimated 300 tribal warriors, unknown Force presence

Reward: +1 Territory Claimed, +600 EXP, Potential Relic Discovery

Mission Risk: Moderate

Special Condition: First encounter with Force-sensitive outside of Kael himself

Tessara-1's Landing

The Pattern dropship broke through Feron-4's storm-wracked sky like a falling dagger.

Tessara-1 emerged first, wrapped in a skin of reactive armor that bent light at the edges. Her black cybernetic eye scanned the village below: primitive dwellings formed around a ring of ancient obsidian monoliths.

A masked chieftain stood among them — his presence like a rippling curtain in the Force.

Tessara spoke through the commlink.

"Visual acquired. Opposition leader is Force-sensitive. Defensive stance. Combat imminent."

Kael responded calmly from orbit.

"Initiate firestarter protocol. Make him an example."

Battle at the Stones

Tessara advanced alone, her body moving like liquid metal. The tribesmen shouted warnings, but their weapons were steel and bone — no match for hyperalloy.

The chieftain stepped forward, raising his hands. Lightning danced at his fingertips — Force lightning, raw and untamed.

"You are not of this world," he growled. "Your presence twists the sky."

Tessara didn't answer.

She lunged.

What followed wasn't a battle — it was an execution.

Conquest Complete

Feron-4's tribes fell without their chieftain. Within three days, Kael's banner — the sigil of the Pattern, a jagged spiral of silver on black — flew over the obsidian monoliths.

His technicians uncovered the vault beneath the tribal ring. Inside: fossilized remnants of a sleeping war construct — large, humanoid, fused to the stone, still faintly humming with power.

And more importantly:

Coordinates to the Vault-Arc Network — a chain of sealed ancient storage facilities spread across five sectors of the Unknown Regions.

[Passive Skill: Obscured Presence → Phase Null Mantle (Max)]

Effect: Kael's Force presence is now completely undetectable, even by Sith Lords or advanced Force-sensitive organisms. Cannot be sensed, traced, or identified by Force-based scans.

You are now a phantom in the Force.

Kael stood at the edge of the monolith ring, staring at the stars from his newly claimed world. The war construct beneath his feet hummed faintly, reacting to his presence.

Tessara-1 knelt beside him.

"The tribes speak of more like it," she said. "Sleeping things. Forgotten gods. All waiting."

Kael said nothing.

He knew.

This wasn't the end of a campaign.

It was the first footprint of an empire.
