Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: Home Improvement — Idiot Edition

The pale, endless dunes of Hueco Mundo stretched out like always. Nothing changed here. The moons never moved, the wind always howled, and boredom crept in like an annoying sand flea.

I sat on my usual sand mound, chewing on a chunk of hollow bone, staring at the crumbled remains of Baraggan's old castle in the distance. Jagged ruins half-buried in sand. One lonely cracked pillar still stood like a sad tooth.

An idea struck me.

A brilliant, dangerous, incredibly stupid idea.

"GRUAHAHAH!"

[Translation: I shall rebuild it better than before!]

Baraggan, lazily sitting on his floating bone throne nearby, raised an eyebrow.

"He says he's gonna rebuild my castle. Which is a terrible idea."

Aizen was too busy dramatically posing on a sand dune. Grimmjow ignored me. The Bone Circle groaned but knew better than to get involved.

I stomped over to the ruins and started grabbing random rocks, bones, and whatever half-buried junk I could find. A crooked hollow skull here, a sand-covered slab there.

"GRUOHH!"

[Translation: Behold! Future palace!]

Baraggan sighed.

"He says… something about a future palace. I stopped listening."

I started stacking bones and boulders wildly. No plan, no blueprints, just pure, chaotic enthusiasm.

At first, it looked… okay.

Then it leaned.

Then it tilted.

Then it wobbled dangerously toward Baraggan.

Baraggan floated higher, watching this mess with tired old eyes.

"I swear, if this falls on me—"

"GRUOHH!"

[Translation: Witness my masterpiece!]

Right as I shouted that, a giant boulder I placed on top teetered, rolled, and dropped straight toward Baraggan's head like a killer coconut.

"DUMBASS!" Baraggan barked, snapping his fingers.

In an instant, the boulder turned to dust before it could flatten him.

A huge BOOM of sand billowed out.

The Bone Circle winced. Grimmjow smirked.

Baraggan pointed a bony finger at me.

"You try to kill me again with that nonsense and I'll shove your skull so deep into the sand they'll find it next millennium."

I shrugged sheepishly.

"GRUOHH…"

[Translation: Close call.]

Baraggan groaned, rubbing his temples.

"He says 'close call.' Like that makes it better."

Aizen gave a cool head-tilt from his dune, pretending not to laugh.

Kukkapūro snored on his head.

Somehow, my terrible half-built tower still stood.

Wobbling. Leaning. A disaster waiting to happen.

But I was proud.

Baraggan sighed.

"Next idiot thing you build, do it on the other side of Hueco Mundo."

"GRUOHAHAHAH!"

[Translation: You got it, boss.]

Grimmjow muttered,

"He's gonna kill us all one day."

And with that, I proudly sat under my leaning bone tower, already making plans for my next terrible improvement project.

Hueco Mundo's finest architect was on the rise.
