I, the magnificent, towering, six-stories-tall Gillian Hollow of unmatched stupidity, had a thought today.
A dangerous one.
"What if… I took a vacation?"
Yes. Even Hollows need breaks, okay?
All this headbutting rocks, scaring tiny Hollows, and toppling quartz trees was exhausting.
I wanted to see the human world. Eat some street food. Maybe try a roller coaster. Or at least scare a few pigeons.
And lucky for me, I had a new trick in my pocket.
Kūmon.
A dimensional rip. A portal between worlds.
I hadn't used it yet, because — well — I was an idiot and never read the instructions.
But today felt like a good day to screw things up.
"GRROOOOH!"
(Translation: "TIME TO BREAK STUFF!")
I gathered my Reiryoku, or whatever this weird Hollow energy was called, and tried to remember how those skinny Adjuchas did it.
Raise your hand.
Swipe the air like you're slicing through reality.
Open a gateway.
I did just that.
Except I might've used a bit too much strength.
The sky in Hueco Mundo cracked open with a loud ZAP. A giant rectangular portal split the air.
Inside was… the human world.
Nighttime.
City lights.
Billboards.
Tiny humans moving around, completely unaware of the massive Gillian now peeking through a dimensional hole.
"GRROOOOOOH!"
(Translation: "VACATION!")
I squeezed my enormous 20-meter frame through the Kūmon like a chubby kid squeezing through a fence gap.
On the other side — I arrived in the middle of a park.
Birds scattered.
Trees bent sideways from my arrival.
Benches exploded into splinters.
And not a single human noticed me.
Because… no one could see me.
I blinked.

Okay, nice.
But… no screaming?
No running in terror?
No one offering me street food?
I stomped down a street.
Passed by a guy in a suit who walked straight through my ankle like I was mist.
I waved a giant hand in front of a girl taking a selfie.
Nothing.
"GRROOH?"
(Translation: "HELLO?")
Still nothing.

…Oh.
Right.
I scratched my enormous head.
But you know what? That didn't mean I couldn't have fun.
So I did.
I stomped through a shopping district, knocking over lampposts.
Drew giant smiley faces in the clouds using Cero.
Tried to high-five a passing airplane. Missed, but it was the thought that counted.
At one point, I laid down across three city blocks like a lazy kaiju and just watched the stars.

After a while, I remembered that Kūmon doesn't stay open forever.
A big, crackly voice in my head warned:

I sighed.
One last thing before leaving.
I drew a giant heart in a crop field outside the city using my Cero beam.
Because why not?

Then I squeezed back through the portal, barely making it before it snapped shut behind me.
Back to the endless desert.
Back to the idiot grind.

I had a good time.
