Chapter 110 - Chapter 107 - Shameless Fox

A day later, Kazuya was sitting on a wooden bench in a Kyoto park, propping his chin on his hand and staring at the scene before him with an unimpressed expression.

A few meters away, Yasaka, leader of the Youkai, nine-tailed fox and one of the most respected figures in Japan, was in her human form, dressed in modern clothes that further accentuated her mature beauty. The simple, light dress contrasted with the traditional image he had of her, and the smile she displayed while pushing Kunou's swing was almost... domestic.

Kunou, in her human form, was laughing loudly, swinging back and forth, her eyes full of sparkle. The sound of her laughter echoed through the park like music, drawing the attention of some passersby, but no one there seemed to imagine that mother and daughter were, in fact, powerful youkai foxes.

Kazuya closed his eyes for a moment and let out a long sigh.

"How did I... end up in this again?" he murmured, low.

Ah, right. He remembered.

He had come to Kyoto with the intention of settling some political details with Yasaka. Nothing too complicated, just formal conversations involving alliances, security, and cooperation. But the moment she received him, things had completely derailed from the plan. Yasaka, with that calm and graceful demeanor, simply dragged him around the city, determined to show him "the real Kyoto," according to her own words.

And now, here he was, in an ordinary park, watching the Youkai leader have fun as if she were just a normal mother with her daughter.

"Sneaky fox..." he grumbled, squinting his eyes.

He leaned back on the bench, his gaze rising to the blue Kyoto sky.

"...She definitely wants me to become Kunou's dad."

The idea was absurd. But at the same time, seeing Yasaka laughing in such a natural way and Kunou yelling "Higher, Mommy!", the scene seemed... dangerously cozy.

Kazuya sighed again, leaning back against the bench with the expression of someone who had already accepted the inevitable: his life wouldn't be even a little peaceful.

Kunou finally slowed the swing, still laughing and kicking her feet in the air, and Yasaka ruffled her daughter's hair before stepping away. With graceful steps, she walked to the bench where Kazuya was sprawled out, almost like a spectator at a show he hadn't bought a ticket for.

As soon as she sat down next to Kazuya, he couldn't help but notice what any man would notice first: her enormous breasts pressed against the fabric of the modern dress.

It was impossible to ignore. They settled in a provocative way, even without her making any effort. For a moment, Kazuya thought that if Yasaka had any special power, it would surely be the ability to distract any room just by existing.

"I see you're having a lot of fun..." Kazuya commented, his voice laced with sarcasm.

Yasaka tucked a strand of her own hair behind her ear and smiled with contained mischief.

"Isn't it nice, Kazuya? Spending time without wars, without political arguments... just enjoying a bit of ordinary life?"

He arched an eyebrow.

"'Enjoying ordinary life,' huh? It seems more like a refined way of kidnapping me and dragging me into playing happy family."

Yasaka brought a hand to her mouth, laughing softly.

"What a cold way to put it. I just wanted to... share something simple. It's not always that I can be just a mother."

For a moment, her eyes shone with sincerity, which made Kazuya sigh and look away.

"Tch... you know how to manipulate words, don't you?"

"I don't manipulate anything..." she retorted, leaning in a bit more, so that her invisible tails seemed almost to twitch behind her. "I'm just showing that there's a place for you too, outside of politics and all that..."

Kazuya let out a dry laugh, settling back better on the bench.

"Oh, sure. And coincidentally, this 'place' puts me at your side, taking care of a little fox girl."

"Kunou needs a strong father figure," Yasaka replied without losing her smile, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "You fit that profile. And honestly, after I got to know you, I want you more and more as my husband.."

Kazuya fell silent for a few seconds, glancing at her sideways. Then he brought a hand to his forehead, laughing softly.

"...Sneaky fox. I knew it."

Yasaka closed her eyes and laughed back, satisfied that he had said exactly what she expected.

On the swing, Kunou called out:

"Mommy! Kazuya! Come play too!"

Kazuya looked at the girl, then at Yasaka, who held his gaze with an amused glint. He huffed, resigned.

"...This is going to end very badly for me. You know I already have a lot of wives, right? Are you sure you still want me as a husband?"

"I don't see a problem; strong men have the right to have more than one wife..." Yasaka murmured, standing up and extending her hand to him: "... Fufufu... And by the way you were looking at my cleavage earlier, it betrays that you're interested in me too...."

For a moment, Kazuya just stared at her hand in silence, before letting out another theatrical sigh and standing up.

Kazuya walked to the swing with dragging steps, as if he were heading to his own judgment. Kunou clapped her hands when he approached.

"Kazuya! Push harder, harder!"

He arched an eyebrow and, without thinking twice, gave a firm push. The swing went so high that Kunou almost let out a surprised yelp, but soon burst into laughter, asking for more.

Meanwhile, Yasaka watched from the side, propping her chin on her hand and smiling with discreet mischief. When she approached to "help," she made a point of leaning in very close to him, her body brushing lightly against his. The floral perfume was there, but what really drew attention was the softness of her enormous breasts that she discreetly pressed against his arm.

"You need to be more gentle, Kazuya...." she murmured, as if she were a teacher correcting a student, but her eyes gleamed with pure provocation.

He glanced sideways, without moving his body.

"You really think I don't notice what you're doing?"

"Doing what?" Yasaka leaned in even more, her voice laden with feigned innocence. "I'm just helping my daughter play. Don't you see how happy she is?"

Kazuya clenched his teeth for a moment, looking away. Kunou was yelling joyfully with each push, oblivious to the silent war happening behind her.

When the girl asked to switch places and push the two adults, Yasaka smiled and, without hesitating, sat down next to Kazuya on the other swing. The wood was narrow, which made her hips touch his.

"Are you comfortable?" she asked, with a suggestive smile.

"Not at all..." he replied dryly, though his eyes flicked for a second to her enormous breasts swaying lightly with the swing's movement.

Kunou tried to push the two of them, laughing, but it was obvious she didn't have the strength to move adults. Yasaka then leaned forward, too close, the dress stretching at strategic points. She whispered low, just for him to hear:

"You're blushing, Kazuya. Is it because of Kyoto's heat... or because of me?"

He closed his eyes and sighed, but the corner of his mouth betrayed a dangerous smile.

"...You're really asking me to teach you a lesson, aren't you? You know that those who play with fire end up getting burned, right?"

Yasaka laughed softly, leaning back as if she hadn't said anything out of the ordinary, but her amber eyes didn't hide the challenge.

Kunou, still laughing, ran to a nearby slide, leaving the two alone for a few moments. Yasaka took the cue to adjust a strand of hair, leaning in on purpose again so that her cleavage became even more evident.

Kazuya followed the movement unhurriedly, his eyes descending and ascending without shame, before letting out another long sigh.

"...Sooner or later, you're going to regret provoking me like this."

"Ah... or maybe I'll get exactly what I want..." Yasaka replied, lifting her gaze to him with a victorious smile.

He crossed his arms, closing his eyes for a moment, but he couldn't stop the thought that crossed his mind: it was getting harder and harder not to drag this sneaky fox to the nearest spot and teach her exactly what it meant to provoke a man too much.

Kunou kept running from one side to the other in the playground, too distracted to notice how the adults behind her exchanged silent barbs. When she finally got tired, Yasaka called her with a sweet smile and said they would take a walk around the city.

"Kazuya, since you've come all the way to Kyoto... it would be rude of me not to show you a bit of our hospitality, don't you think?"

He narrowed his eyes. From her tone, "hospitality" clearly meant something else. Still, he agreed. It was better to play along than let her win without effort.

Besides, he had agreed to go out with Yasaka earlier of his own free will; he wanted a break from Chaldea—dealing with eccentric wives and problematic servants was exhausting even for someone like him....

Some time later, they were already walking through the illuminated streets of the city. Red lanterns swayed in the wind, little shops sold typical sweets, and the air carried the scent of spices. Kunou ran a few steps ahead, enchanted by every detail.

Meanwhile, Yasaka walked beside Kazuya. She had changed her blouse for a light, modern kimono that left her shoulders exposed and clung treacherously to her curves. Every step seemed calculated to sway not only the fabric but also her enormous breasts that seemed to challenge him to look.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" she said, as if talking about the lanterns. "Kyoto has a unique charm at night."

Kazuya grumbled a "hm," trying to keep his gaze fixed on the street. But it was hard when Yasaka deliberately drew close, almost pressing her bare arm against his.

"You're tense, Kazuya?" she teased, with a soft smile. "Maybe you need to relax a bit. There's a bathhouse nearby... traditional, of course."

He nearly stumbled. "You're kidding me, right?"

"Maybe." Her little laugh was pure mischief, but coated in a mask of elegance.

Kunou stopped in front of a sweets stall, and Yasaka took the opportunity to lean toward Kazuya, her voice low, like a whisper.

"Don't worry... I know how to be patient. But don't think I don't notice how your eyes follow me."

He breathed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment. This fox was really testing his limits. And worse: she seemed to enjoy every reaction from him.

When they resumed walking, Yasaka gently pulled his arm, guiding him to a narrower street, lit only by a few lanterns.

"Kazuya... there are places in Kyoto that aren't in the tourist guides. Secret places. Would you like to see them?"

Her smile was a clear invitation.

He glanced at her sideways, and the tension between them seemed about to explode.

"You know damn well you're playing with fire, Yasaka."

"And who said foxes are afraid of fire?" she replied, her voice velvety.

Kazuya almost laughed, but swallowed hard. It was official: if he kept following this fox, sooner or later, she would get exactly what she wanted.

The narrow street ended at a stone staircase, lit only by paper lanterns. Yasaka climbed the steps with the same grace as a priestess, but the calculated sway of her hips betrayed that there was nothing sacred about that invitation.

Kunou, satisfied with the sweets she had bought, ran a few steps ahead, but soon got distracted by a small fountain and started playing with the water, leaving the two behind.

Yasaka took advantage of the moment and slowed her pace, until she was walking side by side with Kazuya. When the night breeze blew, the light kimono molded even more to her body, highlighting the generosity of her breasts that swayed softly.

"This temple is little visited at night," she said, with a serene smile, as if she were just being a tour guide. "Almost no one climbs up here. We can be in peace."

Kazuya narrowed his eyes. "You call this a tourist stroll? Because it's looking more and more like a trap."

"If it were a trap..." She leaned her body in, approaching on purpose, her voice soft and velvety. "...you'd already be caught in my claws, don't you think?"

He let out a low laugh, but his eyes still carried that dangerous glint. "You really don't know when to stop, Yasaka."

At the top of the staircase, a small courtyard surrounded by lanterns came into view, overlooking the entire illuminated city of Kyoto. It was a postcard-worthy scene. Kunou ran to the edge, pointing excitedly at the lights.

Meanwhile, Yasaka stopped beside Kazuya and turned, her amber eyes reflecting the lanterns. Her smile was delicate, but her body spoke another language. When she sat on a stone bench, she made a point of pulling the kimono in an "innocent" way, the fabric falling a bit to expose more of her cleavage.

Kazuya looked away quickly, but not before noticing the movement. The fox knew that.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" she said, referring to the view. But when he looked back at her, he realized she wasn't talking about the city.

For a moment, the silence between them was thick with tension. Even the wind seemed to push things in the wrong direction.

Kazuya sighed deeply and ran a hand through his hair. "You're really asking me to teach you a lesson, Yasaka."

She didn't respond right away. She just tilted her head, smiling mischievously, before whispering:

"Maybe that's exactly what I want, Kazuya ~."

(A/N: This chapter turned out to be more comedic than anything else; the essence of the work at the beginning was very much like this, and I decided to bring it back. It fits Kazuya's more free-spirited personality, and this will be the last softer chapter—the next one will start the final battle of Chaldea vs. Rezevim and his army.
