Cherreads

Chapter 11 - 11 : "I'm moving on".

It's been about 3 days since everything happened, now I have a new employee, a little more time and maybe .... some chance to save my position.

Xavier has offered to pay my debt but I have rejected that option, although it would be a very good opportunity, I would not like to leave my responsibilities in the hands of others, that's the difference between my sister and me....

- Property of the Korutsu -

A large home a front yard covered with flowers and stones decorating the path, the large gate and the white paint always cared for.

My family is quite... Reserved and firm my father is a man who has firm and clear principles that I knew from a very early age.

He had always made one thing clear to me: "If I had no luck in life with my decisions I would have to leave home" and well... that's how it was.

Today I am here simply because I want to talk, I want to see if there is any chance that they still consider me their daughter.

Rin walked up and knocked on the door, the big door of what used to be her home expecting to be greeted maybe not with the same affection as when she was a child, but at least to be treated like a person.

The door opened and it didn't take long to see her, a woman a few years younger than her.

Her hair a little longer than hers, silky, her eyes quite cheerful and her smile from ear to ear, she was wearing clothes of a good quality fabric.

-Sister! It's been a long time since I've seen you. The young woman hugs Rin tightly and then pulls away a little. -What brings you here?

-It's nothing... I just came to see mom and dad..." were Rin's words and she quickly analyzes her sister with her eyes.

-You still look young and sweet as a cherry Ina, no wonder mom and dad still have you here, you must be the "pride of the Kurutsu family".

Rin hides her own envy for her sister, she had always been the favorite and the luckiest one in life.

-You think so? Well I have a good husband who earns good money so mom and dad always tell me I'm better than you.

One smiled hypocritically before inviting her in, Rin simply agreed and entered the house looking with some nostalgia at that place that reminded her of her childhood.

I

-And how has Dad's health been? Rin's question was sincere but her sister looked at her with a soft laugh.

-Well, he's been fine, you know, sometimes he gets sick, sometimes he recovers, it would be a good option for him to make up his mind once and for all.

Rin is offended, she has always known how materialistic her sister is because of the same upbringing her parents gave her and that she wanted her father to pass away to receive the inheritance that was allotted only in her name.

As Rin thought about answering, down the long hallway walked two men in her direction, She quickly recognized the older one, a hunchbacked man with a white hat and short beard, his eyes looked more tired than she remembered them, when they were close enough she looked at him with embarrassment, respect, fear and gratitude.

-Love! Come here my precious one. His sister threw herself against the other tall young man who had an amused smile embracing him the closeness of the two made it clear that he was her mate or rather her means of insurance in the family.

-I Mmm.... Hi dad wanted to come

She tried to speak but was quickly interrupted by the man she was talking to.

-I think I told you not to set foot in this house again, you don't belong here and your presence is no longer welcome.

Quickly what was once respect, appreciation or fear turned to sadness, a deep sadness.

-I just... I just wanted to come visit you .... I thought maybe, you might care about what has become of my life .... Of your eldest daughter's life.

The man declined sharply as he pointed his cane at her.

-No, the rule was clear from the beginning, if there is no future you are out of the family ..... You made us lose a lot of money with your previous attempt to get something.

Rin's hands were shaking, she felt pain, helplessness and anger at the same time.

-But I have managed to move on .... I'm not the same as I was then, I have a small store, it's not a big business, but I'm managing to get out of that chaos I got myself into.

-That doesn't change anything, look at her sister, she is a born flower, she has a good husband and a lot to offer, she earns more than you can earn in a year Rin.

Those words brought her down, does her sister have much to offer, a dead fly who simply lives the life of a kept queen?

Rin cleared her throat and looked at her father or so she wanted to believe she was, she did so with a stoic expression but the pain in her eyes was visible.

- "How much does Ina offer daddy.... Is this also what you wanted me to be, a kept woman by a big strong man who makes a lot of money while I am the housewife living in luxury and without any merit of my own?" ....

I love you daddy I love you and mommy but I hate that they don't respect my way of being.... I am not a beautiful and delicate flower, I am a woman, one who has gone through a lot of suffering and rejection and who has had to live alone for a long time.

Everything was silent for a moment, her sister looked at her with a certain annoyance and a hypocritical smile when referring to her as a kept woman, her father just looked away without looking her in the eyes.

-And believe me dad, if I meet a man I like .... from the first moment I will make it clear to him that I won't accept barriers I won't be a simple housewife because I want to fulfill my own goals and ambitions.....

Even with all this.... I forgive you... And I hope that if some god has been watching you all these years he will forgive you too.

She doesn't expect an answer or even a dismissal or anything she simply left feeling an emptiness in her heart, she had wanted to visit her father to fix things not for this.

But she also feels proud that she had made her feelings and her way of thinking clear....
