Chapter 191 - Chapter 192: Go Beat Up Kizaru!

Resistance to mushroom toxins +50%?

What's the point of that? He's not living in a place where mushrooms are part of the daily diet.

And Teemo's size… his clothes wouldn't even fit Chopper, let alone him.

Shano shook his head.

That vendor—what a useless item!

Next one!

[City Portal Scroll]

Type: Special Item

Price: 8000 points

Description: A magical item from the continent of Azeroth. With this scroll, 2000 points are consumed per use. After a brief chant, you can instantly teleport back to your territory from anywhere. Each additional person teleported costs another 2000 points.

Usage Limitations: None (no distance, cooldown, or usage cap)

Seller's Note: "It's fine traveling as Terenas, but why is Arthas at the gate? What's with that sword!"

Hmm?

Just a moment ago, Shano was a little disappointed, but now his eyes lit up.

City Portal Scroll?

What a treasure!

A permanent item with no major restrictions—except it being a little pricey, there's nothing wrong with it.

Although he only owns one territory for now, it's always good to plan ahead. Whether for emergency retreats or instant support, this thing is practically a divine tool.

Compared to Bruno's Door-Door Fruit, which only works within line-of-sight and short distances, this scroll is leagues ahead.

Must buy.

After a moment of silence for the vendor's taste, Shano tossed it into the cart without hesitation.

Next!

[One-time Devil Fruit Deprivation Technique]

Type: Consumable

Price: 2000 points

Description: Within a short period after an ability user's death, you can extract the "Devil Core" and implant it into any plant-based fruit, turning it into a Devil Fruit with the same ability.

Seller's Note: System Direct Sale

What's this?

A one-time Dark-Dark Fruit effect...

Shano raised an eyebrow.

Thanks to the fruit detector, most of his crew are Devil Fruit users, and he even has two more fruits in storage.

But now that he's focused on expanding his forces—who would complain about having too many strategic resources?

Only 2000 points for choosing your own fruit?

No need to think. Buy!

[Eve's Body Core]

Type: Special Item

Price: 5000 points

Description: From the world of Sword Star, the core of the final experimental subject "Eve." After implantation in a female body, it significantly enhances physical strength.

Note: Effective only for female users

Seller's Note: "Laggy as hell at floor 5090... worst optimization ever."

Shano vaguely remembered this game. He had time-traveled too early and never played it.

Laggy at floor 5090? Bad optimization indeed. Good thing he didn't pre-order.

Still, the core itself must be powerful. He couldn't use it personally, but it'd be a huge boost for one of his female officers.

He immediately eliminated Nami, then ran through the rest of the female crew in his mind.

Only one core.

No need to hesitate...

With a glint in his eyes, he added it to the cart and moved on.

[Random Duplicator for Trading Market Items]

Type: Consumable

Price: 3000 points

Description: Randomly selects one item you've previously bought in the trading market and duplicates it.

Seller's Note: System Direct Sale

Shano paused.

He rubbed his chin and thought—this was basically a loot box. Totally random.

If it duplicated some beginner item from his early days, it'd be a big loss.

Still—

He had the funds. Even if these 3000 points were wasted, it'd be fine. At least it'd make a splash.

Worth a gamble.

Buy!

After all, he had always had pretty good luck.

Next!

[One-time Saiyan Blood Factor]

Type: Consumable

Price: 16,000 points

Description: After injection, you inherit one key Saiyan trait: every time you survive a near-death experience, your physical stats drastically improve. One use only.

Seller's Note: "Seriously, who's the guy crossing into the One Piece world? All his listings are trash!"

Enough!

Shano clenched his teeth. If he remembered correctly, this was the same Dragon Ball vendor who'd roasted him last time. He'd held back long enough!

But... the guy's goods were getting better and better.

From Senzu Beans to Ki Blasts, and now this...

Fine, I'll endure it again and buy it!

You can say whatever you want, but in front of a prop this overpowered, even the 16,000 price tag seemed reasonable.

Trading a ship's worth of Red Hair loot for Saiyan traits? That's a steal!

Besides, he still had his last Senzu Bean... the two would be unstoppable together!

With a grin, Shano added it to the cart, already forgetting the snarky seller note.

As the saying goes, every gain comes with loss.

The first few items—excluding the Teemo underwear—were progressively more tempting.

Later items were solid too.

After scanning through everything, Shano reached the last page. Confirming there was nothing else he wanted, he headed to checkout.

He had purchased five items, totaling 34,000 points.

This was his biggest shopping spree yet—but also the most satisfying.

A massive haul!

From his original 77,600 points, he now had 43,600 remaining. Still quite a fortune.

Exiting the marketplace, Shano opened his backpack.

First up was the [Saiyan Blood Factor]—a syringe, quite similar to the "Piccolo's Regeneration Serum" he bought before.

Without hesitation, he injected it into himself and chucked the empty syringe into the sea.

"Doesn't feel any different."

Shano clenched his fist, his eyes sharp.

As expected, this Saiyan trait would only trigger after a brush with death.

Very thoughtful.

Otherwise...

If the Saiyan's aggressive personality came with it, that'd be annoying.

"Next, the random duplicator."

He activated it from his backpack. A 26-sided die spun into view and began rotating rapidly.

Shano waited patiently.

After a while, it stopped.

Two lines of text appeared:

[Random dice roll complete. Item duplicating now.]

[You have received: "Skill Stealing" x1]

Huh?

Shano blinked, face a little odd.

His luck really was something.

He had just used up his last Skill Stealing, and now he got a free one? That was a 6,000-point item—definitely a win.

But...

The timing was off. If he had it a few days ago, he could've gotten more out of it.

Now that the Red Hair Pirates were far away, who knew when they'd meet again?

So...

Who should he target next?

He rubbed his chin, deep in thought.

While the answer was still undecided...

Two days later, the next island came into view. Just as Shano stepped out of the cabin, his Den Den Mushi rang.

"It's Bear."

Shano picked up the Den Den Mushi, which now had fluffy bear ears, and chuckled:

"Only two days? You're faster than I thought. Already in Dressrosa?"

"Sir."

The Den Den Mushi mimicked Bear's frowning expression. "Yes, we've arrived—but something's changed. As soon as we reached Dressrosa's waters, we saw a large naval fleet—over ten warships—surrounding the port."

"Navy?"

Shano was surprised. "What are they doing there?"

Dressrosa's situation had long been resolved by Bear, peace restored. Why would the navy show up now?

"They're issuing an ultimatum."

Bear's voice was serious. "They're demanding King Riku re-sign the World Government membership agreement within five days. If not, they'll treat him as colluding with pirates and will bombard the port and take control of the island."

"That's ridiculous!"

A small, angry voice interrupted:

"Doflamingo stole this country and did all kinds of bad things. King Riku begged everywhere for help, but no one listened! Now the bad guy's been taken down by my dad, and suddenly the navy shows up to collect the... uh, what's the word?"

"The fruits of victory," Mansherry chimed in.

"Yeah! The fruits of victory!"

"Bonnie, don't interrupt," Bear muttered.

"But Bear Bear, I wasn't wrong! Uncle Shano, you agree, right?"

"You're absolutely right." Shano nodded. "But Bonnie, let's correct the name a little."

"Uncle Shano?"

"It's Big Bro!" Mansherry hit her. "Dummy!"

"Waaah! That hurt!"

The two girls squabbled as Bear moved the Den Den Mushi away. Their voices faded.

Bear's voice returned, low and solemn:

"Sir, King Riku refuses to bend to the navy's threats and is preparing to resist. I still remember—when we defeated the Donquixote Family, King Riku, his daughter, and the citizens who were once turned into toys knelt and cried in front of me…"

"No need to say more."

Shano grinned. "You and Bonnie are part of my crew now. As your captain, how could I ignore this?!"

Even without his bond with Kuma...

He had to intervene!

Dressrosa—

The Riku family ruled it honorably for years. When Doflamingo seized the throne using tricks and lies, they were nearly wiped out.

In their darkest hour, the World Government, after collecting their tribute for so many years, did nothing.

Instead, they let Doflamingo—a Celestial Dragon turned pirate—control the region again.

So-called "justice."

Meanwhile, when Kuma overthrew the despotic king of the Sobel Kingdom, the Navy responded instantly with overwhelming force to reinstall him.

It's not hard to guess why.

The Navy wanted more control in the New World. Dressrosa's position made it an ideal stepping stone.

But if they placed a base directly, the Four Emperors would retaliate.

Letting someone like Doflamingo control it created a buffer zone everyone could tolerate.

And he was valuable to both the Navy and the Government—money, intel, influence.

Of course, they didn't expect him to secretly ally with Kaido later on.

"Who's leading the fleet?" Shano asked.

"Currently it's Vice Admiral 'Momousagi' Gion," Bear replied. "She's a powerful swordswoman and no pushover. I believe I can handle her, but..."

Bear's tone dropped further:

"...According to intel, Admiral Kizaru is on standby nearby in Punk Hazard. He can arrive at any time."

Kizaru?

Then I have to go!

Shano narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing.

That old monkey—he'd ambushed him during his fierce fight with Kaido and nearly killed him on Enies Lobby. That little kick in Sabaody wasn't enough to settle the score!

Now that his strength had advanced again, this was the perfect chance to clash once more.

After hanging up, Shano looked up. His crew had already gathered.

They'd heard the whole conversation—and everyone's eyes were burning with anticipation.

It had been nearly a month since their last real battle.

Thanks to Dream Grass, everyone had grown stronger. It was the perfect time to test themselves!

But...

"There's only five days left on the ultimatum?"

Kuina frowned. "My lord, Dressrosa's still far away. Even with Bear's life card guiding us, I'm afraid we won't make it in time."

"No problem. Have you forgotten we still have that device?"

Shano grinned, then looked up toward the second deck where a certain orange-haired girl was leaning on the railing.

"I'm afraid you'll be working overtime the next few days, Nami."

"Huh?"

Nami pointed at herself in surprise. "Me?"
