Just look at the participants of this Holy Grail War. Saber's Master is a novice who was dragged into this war by accident, and he appears full of youthful passion. He doesn't look like the type who would collaborate with them.
Lancer's Master... despite investigating for so long, they found nothing. Clearly, this magus possesses extraordinary abilities. Moreover, someone capable of summoning that King Arthur would hardly cooperate with suspicious-looking fellows like them. Most importantly, cooperating with an entity they couldn't even investigate brings the risk of being stabbed in the back by that magus.
Archer's Master... summoned the Servant representing human possibility. Although she is just a young girl, she does not seem like someone who would fall from grace. They had investigated her body thoroughly; she relied on her own efforts during the most difficult times and continues to do so now. It is impossible to lead such an upright young person astray in a short period.
With no suitable candidates among the Three Knight classes, look at the Masters of the Cavalry classes. Rider's Master appears to be a boy with few desires. Although he has a dark past, that darkness has only made his spirit and soul more resilient. Simultaneously, that experience makes it very difficult for the boy to trust a stranger who suddenly appears proposing cooperation.
Especially when this stranger is wrapped in a peculiar aura of depravity. That boy, who has been a mercenary for many years, would likely just pull out a gun and shoot him.
If that were to happen, although he did not fear bullets, he felt it would be quite humiliating.
As for Assassin's Master, that man who participated in the Fourth Holy Grail War, the man who originally wanted to achieve world peace... If he were to appear before that man, before he could even say anything, that man would probably summon his Heroic Spirit and hit him with a few Noble Phantasms.
In this Holy Grail War, two participants would immediately see through his true nature upon sighting him: one is Caster's Master, and the other is the man named Emiya Kiritsugu.
And Caster's Master... the man who established the Human Order Security Organization. Forget cooperation; to realize their long-cherished wish, they would inevitably have to face this man as an opponent. They are natural opposites, with absolutely no possibility of cooperation. Unless that pure white world arrives... the world that man protects should be ended by them, and should also be protected by them.
Even if they burned this world to the ground, they would not hand it over to anyone else. Of course, what they saw was not the future of this world, but merely a glimpse into a corner of another world. In that world, they had directly obtained that man's body, whereas now they were still struggling with how to acquire it.
However, since there is a possibility of the world being stolen by others, and to prevent such a situation from occurring in this world, they might as well burn it down. That would 100% avoid it. To think of such a solution in this context... they were truly too clever, too brilliant!!
But for now, they still needed to pull that man's body out of the vast universe. Only that man's body was the most suitable for them. Who could have imagined that his body would be banished to the distant cosmos for some unknown reason? If they found out who did it, they would definitely beat that damned guy to a pulp!
They also understood modern science; they only hoped that man's body hadn't flown into a black hole.
Otherwise, the Holy Grail might not be able to perfectly replicate his body. That man shouldn't have offended anyone. Because of the constant drifting in the universe, even those of them sealed within that man's body could only use soul fluctuations to search for a vessel that could accept their spirit and will.
Throughout these long years, only this one body before them had accepted their will.
After so much time, they still hadn't completely modified this body. If this vessel were destroyed now, they would be forced to reside forever within that man's body, drifting in the endless universe.
Since everyone else was unsuitable, they could only choose the Master of Berserker before them. It just so happened that this guy needed to win the Holy Grail and needed help. Most importantly, his ambition to survive was strong enough to make him ignore the price required for this help, as well as certain loopholes in their words.
The non-human existence pulled a ball of golden light from within his body. This light carried powerful vitality, but also a faint, indistinct demonic nature.
"Place this inside Berserker. Its name is Phoenix. It will provide Berserker with unimaginable vitality, placing him in a near-immortal state. Combined with Berserker's Noble Phantasm, you will possess a truly undying legion. When facing a Heroic Spirit one-on-one, it will be enough to use undead soldiers to slowly wear them down and kill them!"
Placing the golden light on the table, the non-human existence stood up and performed a gentlemanly bow. Then, pulling his hat onto his head, he vanished from the ship like a cloud of black mist. He had more things to do, such as restricting existences outside of the participants.
After the non-human existence disappeared, the Heroic Spirit with heterochromatic eyes looked at the blue-haired magus. "Master, do you really intend to cooperate with such an existence?"
The blue-haired magus stood up and grasped the golden light on the table. He then summoned Berserker directly and slammed the golden light hard into Berserker's chest. No verbal response was needed; his action was the answer.
Watching more golden stripes appear on Berserker's body, and feeling the aura become increasingly powerful and insane, the blue-haired magus couldn't help but cover his face and laugh aloud. He had won the bet. Because this was his last Holy Grail War, he could afford to abandon everything he currently had to go all-in on the table. Clearly, this time he had won!
With a Berserker like this, I can finally trade for two or three enemy Heroes. In that case, even if I cannot be the oriole in the future, I will definitely be the mantis!
