Rachel felt like a panda being watched by a crowd at the zoo.
"Huh? Are you really asking me to send it?" His voice rang in her ears again.
Her face turned even redder, and she quickly replied, "No need." Then she rushed back into her room and closed the connecting door fast.
Jeffrey gave a faint smile, but when he turned back around, his face returned to normal. He walked over to his chair and sat down, reconnecting to the video meeting.
"Let's continue the meeting," Jeffrey said calmly, totally ignoring the curious stares from everyone who clearly wanted to gossip.
"Jeffrey, was that the person who called you during our last meeting?" someone couldn't help but ask.
Jeffrey raised an eyebrow slightly. "What, are you interested?"
The person froze under his cold tone and awkwardly laughed. "Uh… let's just continue."
Even though they went back to work, no one in the room could stop thinking about the fact that their CEO seemed to be… living with a woman.
