Konoha: Starting from Being Adopted by Tsunade – Chapter 322: The Threat is Gone
No matter how terrified Isshiki Otsutsuki was, what was coming could not be avoided.
The seal began to unravel under the immense pressure of Kaguya Otsutsuki's chakra.
For the Goddess of the Rabbit, she had long since reached a level where techniques were unnecessary—her mere presence rendered all seals meaningless.
What were seals before her? Obstacles to be crushed with sheer force.
When the seal finally broke, a beam of white light shot out.
Out flew Isshiki Otsutsuki.
He fled without a fight, desperate to survive.
But in the end, it was futile.
He didn't even retain one percent of his former strength.
The gap between him and Kaguya was simply too vast.
The moment he appeared, he was engulfed by Amenominaka and vanished.
Amenominaka contained six dimensions.
He was cast into the Primordial Space-Time.
Within this space, Kaguya could absorb his chakra.
Though greatly weakened, Isshiki still possessed far more chakra than an average ninja.
Kaguya had never been one to waste chakra.
As his chakra slowly drained, so did his presence.
To members of the Otsutsuki Clan, chakra was life itself.
Once it was gone, death followed immediately.
Eventually, Isshiki Otsutsuki perished completely.
In a way, Kaguya had finally laid her fears to rest.
Though the Otsutsuki might send new envoys to the ninja world someday, that would be far into the future.
Until then, she could use the Heavenly Network to grow even stronger.
The eerie glow on the moon vanished.
Natsume deactivated his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and turned to face Kaguya.
"He's dead."
Kaguya spoke flatly, as if she had done nothing more than brush away dust.
Indeed, to her, it truly was insignificant.
"Then the rest will be left to me."
Natsume smiled and nodded.
With Isshiki gone, the ninja world no longer faced any threats.
He had plenty to do, but nothing particularly urgent.
First was the Ten-Tails.
He decided to station it near the Land of Fire's Metropolis, where it would serve permanently as a server node for the Heavenly Network.
He chose this location because it was close to Kaguya.
According to Natsume's plan, she would continue living in the Land of Fire's Metropolis alongside Ena Uzumaki, Yukie Kazahana, and the others.
As for Konoha Village, it would remain under Tsunade's care.
Second was promoting the Heavenly Network.
That part, surprisingly, would be relatively easy.
By now, the Five Great Villages had already given their agreement.
Whether the other villages approved or not no longer mattered.
Third was upgrading Konoha and the Land of Fire.
Actually, he had already completed part of this.
Like the Land of Fire's Metropolis—it now resembled a major city from his past life.
Still, having only one such city wasn't enough.
"Hagoromo, what are your plans moving forward?"
Natsume turned to the Sage of Six Paths nearby.
As for Kaguya—
she had her own thoughts, but rarely voiced them.
Perhaps it was better to say she cared little beyond chakra itself.
Therefore, she followed Natsume's advice and took it easy.
Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths, was different.
He had his own plans in mind.
Natsume didn't particularly care either way.
Although the Pure Land was very useful, he still had Kaguya Otsutsuki. In the future, if he wanted to revive someone, he could simply have her take care of it.
Speaking of revival, Natsume planned to bring back Rin Nohara. She remained in a state of Impure World Reincarnation—neither fully alive nor dead.
It would be like doing Kakashi Hatake a favor. In the original story, Kakashi never married until old age. The Hatake bloodline was nearly lost forever.
Of course, for Natsume, this would be nothing more than a small favor. Plus, it would give Obito Uchiha a happy death.
Natsume mused inwardly that he really was too kind.
"I'll just stay in the Pure Land," Hagoromo Otsutsuki said after thinking for a moment.
Right now, calling Natsume "father" still made him feel embarrassed, so out of sight, out of mind seemed best.
Moreover, he was currently only a chakra projection—not a complete human being anymore. To put it in terms from his past life, he was a soul without flesh.
Once leaving the Pure Land, his chakra would steadily deplete. Given enough time, he might even fade entirely.
"Fine then."
Natsume didn't refuse. The Pure Land still had its uses. With Hagoromo guarding it, there'd be no need to worry about security.
Natsume walked up to Kaguya Otsutsuki and whispered a few words—primarily asking her to take the Ten-Tails away.
Kaguya silently raised her hand.
[Amenominaka] unfolded.
The Ten-Tails instantly disappeared. So did Kaguya herself.
As the Ten-Tails left, sunlight once again surrounded them.
Nagato and Konan couldn't help exhaling in relief. The pressure from Kaguya and the Ten-Tails had been too overwhelming—making them feel as if the air itself had vanished.
"Then I'll return to the Pure Land."
After seeing Kaguya leave, Hagoromo quickly departed as well—as if dreading Natsume would make him say "father" again.
Natsume shrugged, muttering internally about how unfilial the boy was. Even after all these years apart, he couldn't spare a moment longer with his father.
He turned around, facing Nagato and Konan, turning his back on Hagoromo.
"You two should return to Konoha and find Kurenai Yuhi and report to her." He pointed at the bracelet. "I've already explained everything to her; she'll handle the arrangements for you."
Nagato and Konan nodded.
They had no objections to serving as the Hokage's bodyguard and secretary. One reason was because they could observe Konoha Village up close.
Secondly, the power displayed by Natsume and others was simply too strong. Might makes right.
Serving under Natsume wasn't exactly shameful. And perhaps, to others, it might even sound quite honorable.
Now, the desert was left empty except for Natsume.
He yawned and stretched.
All current threats had been removed, finally allowing him to fulfill his wish. That is—to do absolutely nothing.
In a flash, Natsume returned home—the Senju Residence.
Chapter Not Finished Yet!!!
Was he thinking about moving somewhere else?
After all, today was different from usual.
But on second thought, there was no real need.
He lived here because it was quiet enough.
No one would sense Senka's presence.
Of course, this was only temporary.
Once Senka grew older, he could arrange an identity for her to attend the Ninja Academy.
Letting her stay at home all the time wasn't good either.
Tsunade came over to greet him.
She already knew what had happened today and couldn't help worrying.
Seeing Natsume completely unharmed eased her worries.
"Where's Senka?"
Natsume took off his shoes and looked around before asking.
"Shizune took her out for a walk."
Tsunade took his coat and hung it aside, then asked, "Did you finish things?"
"All taken care of."
Natsume chuckled lightly and asked, "Don't tell me Sister doesn't trust me?"
"I definitely trust you."
Tsunade shot him a glare.
Belief aside, she still couldn't help worrying.
Natsume naturally understood this.
He scooped Tsunade up and headed toward the bedroom.
The best thing was to help her relax.
