Natsume was lying on the bed, turned to his side, watching the black cat before him.
She curled up in his arms, quite warm.
Just like the softest body pillow.
As Natsume was about to speak, the golden cat appeared in the room as well.
She slipped under the covers and snuggled against his back.
Even warmer and softer than the black cat.
A pincer attack from both sides.
Natsume shifted slightly and simply wrapped one arm around each.
Yugito Nii had long grown used to this situation and remained composed as usual.
Only Samui's face flushed crimson, her delicate frame trembling slightly.
Natsume had thoughts, though not particularly lewd ones.
Mainly because last night's battle had been too intense.
He still hadn't fully recovered from that fight.
Especially Kaguya Ōtsutsuki—she was like a succubus out of legend.
"Did you two go see the Fourth Raikage?"
Natsume casually asked while resting his head in Samui's bosom.
"Mm-hmm."
Yugito Nii glanced at Samui, then looked down at herself with a quiet sigh.
Of course, Natsume prefers those who understand people better.
"How did things go?"
Natsume sniffed the sweet fragrance, feeling rather refreshed.
It was a completely different feeling compared to Tsunade's.
"He agreed."
Yugito Nii lifted her head and replied.
"He really agreed?"
Natsume couldn't help but smile. "I thought he'd slam the table right then and there."
"He did slam his fist on the table."
Yugito Nii paused for a moment before continuing. "But after Mabo persuaded him, he regained his composure."
Of course, mere persuasion wouldn't be enough to calm down the Fourth Raikage.
But Kumogakure had that power.
The lives of so many people prevented him from acting recklessly.
Therefore, he reluctantly accepted Konoha's conditions.
In fact, aside from handing over Mabo, Yugito Nii, and Samui, the other terms weren't too harsh.
The Fourth Raikage had no choice but to accept.
Natsume kept them close partly to increase their destiny values and primarily to control them in other ways—like economically.
"Should I call Mabo in?"
Yugito Nii hugged his arm and softly asked.
Though offering up her best friend felt like betrayal, being a carefree cat didn't seem so bad anymore.
"No need."
Natsume closed his eyes and said, "I didn't sleep well last night. I'll rest a bit."
Soon after, his breathing evened out.
Yugito Nii and Samui exchanged glances.
Both were top-tier beauties, especially the latter.
An absolutely luxurious cat, not inferior to anyone.
Yet he could fall asleep so soundly.
Who knows how long passed before Natsume woke up.
He woke up in Samui's arms.
No wonder it felt so soft.
Her hands were constantly massaging his head.
As for Yugito Nii, she was even more shameless.
Actually, she was the one who woke him.
When it came to massaging his head, she didn't know when to stop.
Natsume wanted to scold her a little, but she rolled her eyes and continued regardless.
He was left speechless.
This cat really needed a spanking every three days, or she'd tear the roof apart.
Letting out a soft snort, he raised his hand.
He only stopped once she begged for mercy.
"M-Master..."
Yugito Nii gasped weakly.
"Do you want me to take her place?"
Samui clenched her teeth and stepped forward, whispering.
"That's enough for today."
Natsume stood up, changed his clothes, and said, "Let's talk about it next time."
Samui paused briefly, coming back to her senses, but he had already left.
She looked at the paralyzed Yugito Nii, her eyes widening slightly, as an unfamiliar emotion stirred within her.
Natsume left the room and sat down at the Hokage's office desk.
He casually picked up a document.
Again inquiring about handling the Akatsuki organization.
Natsume fell into slight thought.
Actually, it wasn't difficult.
Except for Obito Uchiha.
Kisame Hoshigaki, in the original story, was relatively loyal to the Akatsuki.
When Nagato and Konan arrived, he could let them try convincing him.
If that failed, send him back to Kirigakure.
He bore some resemblance to Zabuza Momochi.
With no future in Kirigakure, he was easily swayed by Obito Uchiha's words and joined the Akatsuki.
He was one of the rare members who actually believed in their so-called dream.
Kakuzu liked money.
Natsume definitely wasn't short on cash.
As for Sasori, that would be slightly more complicated.
But Chiyo could handle him.
Natsume remembered some troublemakers in Sunagakure.
He might as well eliminate them and install Temari as Kazekage.
Actually, Kumogakure—he planned to install Samui as the Raikage.
That would be quite amusing.
In his own unique way, Natsume could unify the ninja world.
Still, thinking about it again, there was no need to pursue this deliberately.
Finally came Obito Uchiha.
Four words: Demoralize and Destroy an Enemy.
Natsume already had a vague idea.
He grabbed the Mission Bracelet and sent a message to Kurenai Yuhi, summoning her.
The next second, a knock sounded at the door.
Natsume blinked in surprise—so fast? Was she waiting outside all along?
Kurenai Yuhi walked in, her high heels clicking against the floor.
Her cheeks were faintly flushed, as if wearing red eyeshadow.
Natsume pondered thoughtfully.
The room wasn't soundproof, huh.
When would be the right time to pluck this crimson rose?
"Natsume."
Kurenai took a deep breath, quickly returning to her capable secretary persona. "You called?"
"Send word to Chiyo and Rasa—tell them to come to Konoha."
Natsume paused, then added, "Also call Kakashi."
This chapter isn't over yet—more excitement ahead!
"Yes."
Kurenai immediately replied.
Shortly after she left, Kakashi Hatake knocked and entered.
"Hokage-sama."
"Do you remember the Akatsuki member we captured before?"
Natsume got straight to the point.
Obito Uchiha wore a mask back then and was captured alive by Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.
No one knew his true identity.
"I do."
Kakashi gave a slight nod.
"There was one who claimed to be the mysterious masked man, Madara Uchiha."
Natsume casually mentioned, "He's the one responsible for the Nine-Tails Incident."
"What?"
Kakashi's eyes widened in shock.
The Nine-Tails Incident—the tragic deaths of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.
That very incident had once again cast him into despair.
"He's currently imprisoned in Konoha's prison for serious criminals."
Natsume looked at him and said, "You're an excellent ninja who served in the Anbu and possesses the Sharingan. How about you interrogate him?"
"Fine."
Kakashi Hatake agreed without hesitation.
He certainly had many interrogation techniques.
Of course, more importantly, he wanted to find out who that masked man was and why he was so intent on targeting Konoha.
"You may go."
Natsume waved his hand dismissively.
Dealing with Obito Uchiha called for a professional.
First, let Kakashi Hatake meet him, then send Rin Nohara.
Under normal circumstances, both of them would get the full story on him.
There was no chance of redemption like in the original story.
Besides, there was no opportunity for redemption now.
Because Obito Uchiha would never have the opportunity to sacrifice himself for Konoha.
"Master."
Samui, wearing a tailored suit and pencil skirt, stepped forward.
"What about Yugito Nii?"
Natsume glanced up and down her figure—two words: voluptuous.
"She's sleeping."
Samui slightly blushed as she whispered.
"I see."
Natsume gave a slight nod and then recalled Mabo. He asked, "Go get Mabo then."
"Alright."
Samui turned and left the office. Before long, she returned accompanied by a pale-haired girl.
Well, not exactly black—more like dark skin tone.
Anyway, it seemed unreasonable.
In Kumogakure, it made sense to say that the intense sun had tanned many people's skin.
But some weren't affected, like Samui, whose skin was as pale as snow.
If talking about intense sunlight, Sunagakure should qualify.
Yet they didn't seem to have anyone with sun-kissed skin.
