Boom boom boom!
"This..." Gon turned to Biscuit, seeking an explanation. Biscuit's expression was grave. The memory of Loki's monstrous power and terrifying abilities filled her with fear. His strength far surpassed hers, yet he'd retreated—a strange turn of events. Still, she explained, "That guy was the one who was following you earlier."
Killua was surprised. "Did you do that to him?"
"I," Biscuit said, pursing her lips, "didn't."
"Then what happened?" Gon and Killua asked simultaneously.
"He was instantly frozen by someone who suddenly appeared, using a bizarre ability," Biscuit explained, glancing at the frostbite on her arm. "That's the same person who injured me! He almost killed me, but strangely, he just left."
"Instantly frozen?! What kind of bizarre ability is that?" Killua frowned, approaching Binolt and touching the ice. "Strange! It's ice, but it's not cold!"
Biscuit said, "Not cold?" She had felt the terrifying cold herself; it wasn't something anyone could endure. She touched Binolt's ice and confirmed there was no temperature. 'Only the target feels the cold?'
"Was he strong?" Killua asked, unconvinced that someone so easily defeated could be powerful.
Biscuit laughed. "Strong? Kid, the three of you combined wouldn't stand a chance against him."
Killua turned away, dissatisfied.
"Don't believe me?" Biscuit said slowly. "Then try."
She used her Nen to melt the ice. Gon was surprised. "Nen can melt ice?"
"You two know nothing," Biscuit sighed. "Since it's someone else's ability, the solution must also involve Nen. I tried already. Without Nen, forcibly breaking the ice is impossible; it's as tough as steel."
Gon's initial reaction was disbelief. Ice tougher than steel? Seeing their expressions, Biscuit knew they wouldn't believe her.
"You two are too naive. The world of Nen users isn't governed by your common sense." She looked at them strangely. "Who taught you Nen, you two idiots? Who guided your training?"
Gon and Killua exchanged glances.
"We're not telling you!"
"Oh? Some nobody, I bet!" Biscuit waved her hand. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Biscuit Krueger, a professional Hunter with decades of experience, trained in the Shingen-ryu. For the next while, I'll..."
Suddenly, Gon and Killua interrupted. "What did you say? You're from the Shingen-ryu?"
Biscuit was surprised. "You're also Shingen-ryu practitioners?"
Loki had mentioned using Shingen-ryu methods when they learned Nen. Seeing their un-denying expressions, Biscuit was puzzled. 'These two kids are Shingen-ryu practitioners? Impossible!' She thought only she and her student, Wing, remained.
Biscuit narrowed her eyes. "You wouldn't be Wing's disciples, would you?"
They shook their heads. "We don't know Wing, but we are Shingen-ryu practitioners!"
Biscuit frowned. 'Not Wing's disciples... yet Shingen-ryu practitioners...' Suddenly, she remembered something. 'The rumor about the Chairman's new disciple, that kid named Loki...' Could it be...?
"You two learned Nen from someone named Loki, didn't you?!"
The mention of Loki's name startled Gon and Killua. It wasn't a name to be spoken lightly. Their expressions changed subtly, confirming to Biscuit that they had indeed learned Nen from someone who might be Netero's disciple.
Biscuit herself hadn't met Loki, but she'd heard the rumors and reports. She admired his talent but disapproved of his injuring Netero.
"To think you two learned Nen from someone like that!" Biscuit looked at them curiously. "That kid, Loki, is incredibly strong. He even injured Netero! You two are his disciples?!"
Gon and Killua froze, their eyes widening.
"What did you say?"
"Who injured Chairman Netero? That perverted old man was injured?!"
The two seemed completely unaware of such a significant event. Such big news, any Nen user would know! Biscuit crossed her arms. "You two! You don't know that kid, Loki, attacked Hunter Association headquarters?!"
She finished, and Gon and Killua felt like an atomic bomb had exploded in their heads. This news was too shocking. Attacking the Hunter Association!! Why?! Seeing their stunned expressions, Biscuit smiled.
"Don't be surprised, that's not all."
"When Loki attacked the Hunter Association..."
"Chairman Netero was holding the Twelve Zodiacs meeting."
They exchanged glances.
"Twelve Zodiacs?!"
"What?! You don't know about the Twelve Zodiacs, and you're Hunters?!" Biscuit looked defeated. The Twelve Zodiacs were as famous as Netero within the Hunter Association.
Killua said, "Alright, continue."
Biscuit raised a finger. "The Twelve Zodiacs have twelve members, personally selected by Chairman Netero, each with a unique title. Regardless of their Nen type, their strength far surpasses most Nen users. Each has unique abilities and specialties, chosen and titled by Netero himself."
She paused, looking at them gravely.
"The entire Twelve Zodiacs, and Chairman Netero, were at the Hunter Association!"
"That kid... who taught you Nen..."
"...attacked the Hunter Association, killing two Zodiacs and injuring Chairman Netero!"
Silence fell.
"So now you understand how terrifying the guy who taught you Nen is?!"
They lowered their heads. They'd felt Loki's strength; now, he was not only stronger but had embarked on a completely different path. Gon felt a strange unease.
