Chapter: 14, Training Plans
In the soft glow of the morning sun, Dainsleif woke up from the sweet sleep he was having. The morning birds sang beautifully as his mood brightened up in this calm and peaceful environment.
It is regrettable that this peace would only last for at most two years. After that, the world would be invaded by demons of the underworld, which would rapidly conquer many nations and this peaceful environment would be lost for many more years even after the matter supposedly has been resolved.
It was a pity that Dain couldn't see the end of that war in his previous life…
Dain then washed up and got ready to head to the cafeteria. He ate his meal silently; the situation of the previous day didn't repeat itself.
After finishing his meal, Dain rested for a few minutes, then headed towards the training hall reserved for the special category.
On the way, many people looked at him warily. The same looks also fell on him in the cafeteria, but he ignored those gazes.
With calm steps, he appeared in front of a sanctuary made out of white marble. The fountain occasionally raises water as three figures sit on the fountain borders. Hestia, Azaria and Penelope were sitting there talking about something, looking like a trio of best friends.
Seeing Dainsleif approach their way, they tried to talk with him, but Dain ignored their voices and walked inside the sanctuary.
Inside the sanctuary, Dain saw the bright and exquisite decorations of the training sanctuary. A large ground was in the middle of the sanctuary as the open sky lit up every corner of the field.
Within the training field, five people stood together. Three of them wore the regular training clothes that the Empire provided. The other two wore stylish clothes, one who was a handsome knight clad in iron armor, bearing the same symbol of the Kaiser Empire.
The other was a woman in a blue robe holding a staff made of iron with a blue gem attached at the top of its tip. She wore glasses that gave her a scholarly vibe. Her clothes inside the robe were adorned with many small and shiny decorative pieces that had the same gem as her staff with different sizes and colors.
She was clearly a mage, at least an intermediate level mage, ranging from lv 70-100. She was also very beautiful, her sky blue hair flowing with the wind, making her look stunning.
Dain walked over to them, the three girls following behind him. They also looked at the two individuals and smiled.
The knight named Herold looked at them, confirming that everyone in the special category were present, he introduced himself and the person beside him,
"It's a pleasure to meet you, honored heroes of our kingdom. I am Harold, the knight captain of the light legion of the imperial army. I am here to guide you so that you can utilize your powers efficiently in extreme situations.
"And the person beside me is Lilith, a well-known mage of the Imperial Magic Association (IMA). She's here to help you awaken the mana in your body that can help you learn and utilize the external skills of our world."
The woman smiled at them and with her sweet and melodious voice, greeted them, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Lilith. I would be glad to help you awaken your mana. Today my lesson would be first, so if you could excuse us, idiot Harold?"
Harold looked at her, completely confused as to what he did to offend this pretentious beauty. He asked tentatively, "What did I do?"
Lilith gave him a menacing, smiling look that clearly told him what to do and not to ask questions.
Harold started to walk away, complaining under his breath, "How annoying it is to understand you women. Guess it would be impossible for me to at least understand them."
Lilith's gaze intensified and Harold quickly fled the scene. Unknown to Harold, All the boys present at the scene couldn't agree more with him, and he wasn't alone in that.
Others might not know but Dain knew the reason for her anger. Harold had stolen the right to speak first from her and she had lost the chance to leave a good impression on them.
Lilith might look like a kind and gentle soul, but in truth she is an attention seeking witch. Her beautiful and exaggeratedly detailed look before was actually her own intentional doing.
She is someone who likes to show off the most. One time, she was late for the class and imagine how she appeared in the class.
She flew from the sky in her broom and landed in front of them with way too many flashy poses that exaggerated a normal 'being late to class' scene.
Lilith calmed her anger and finally looked at them again, her smile back on her lips. She then walked towards the nearby blackboard that had seven seats in front of it. The black board has some already drawn notes on it, as if someone prepared it early for today so not too much time is lost.
"Okay, let us start our first lesson in 'Introduction to Mana' and 'Tutorial to Mana Sensation'. Please take your seats. But first…" She said, standing near the black board as she added.
"…Let's introduce each other before our class starts. You know I wasn't present during the two days you were here, so I wanna make sure I remember your name and faces."
The seven people understood and began to introduce each other one by one. With Aldric to Caspian and Hestia to Penelope. At last, Dain introduces himself.
Lilith's expression brightened hearing his introduction. 'So, he is the one with the legendary red attribute?' she thought enthusiastically.
She then began to introduce herself in full detail again, "As you know, I am Lilith. A mage from the IMA. I am 28, still single and I would love it if you don't bring up my relationship status during the class. I revealed it because of some of my past experiences."
With a slight pause, she added enthusiastically "So let's begin the journey toward Magic…"
To be continued…
