"Ugh…." I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes to see the world around me after the experience I had just been through.
*Flashback*
"My head…." I grabbed at my head as I picked myself off the hard metallic floor beneath me with the sound of ringing in my ears.
The sound of sirens blaring in the distance, whimpering cry's along with anger filled shouts coming from outside the room I was in.
I soon noticed that the door was barricaded with several desks and chairs while other people, kids who all looked between the ages of 13 to 16, were pacing back and forth grabbing their heads or were balled up in a corner crying to themselves.
"What…. The fuck is happening….?" I quietly say to myself as I place my hand on the glass before I looked at it as my eyes widened to what I saw.
Space, what appeared to be space outside the window but was filled with this light blue mass of what I could only describe as space dust but….. it felt wrong just looking at it…..
I looked down at myself and I was wearing some kind of black space suit type uniform before I looked back at the glass again and focused less on outside and more on my reflection and my eyes widened at what I saw.
"No….. Way….. Warframe….?" I said to myself in a voice that nobody could hear with all the panic around me still going on.
This is the Zariman incident that would change the lives of all the children here aboard the Zariman forever and lead them into later becoming the Tenno and the Operators of all the future Warframes.
Warframes, people that would slowly overtime be turned into biological machines that would overtime slowly lose their sense of self until nothing remains of their former selves, barring of course a few exceptions who keep their personalities through sheer will power alone.
"Hey there Kiddo." I suddenly hear a voice that eerily sounds similar to my own come from behind me.
And then…. Silence as I saw the world slowly turn black and white, as I turned to see the room, the ship and the entirety of the Void, the place we became trapped within, come to a stand still.
I turned to face the man before me, an exact copy of myself but with completely blacked out eyes with no irises whatsoever as he smirked at me as if finding the situation I was in as amusing.
I backed up against the glass as my heart pounded as I knew who this was, a being beyond human comprehension that stands far above all of mortal kind.
"The Indifference…." I said through gritted teeth as he grinned even more at me hearing me call it by one of its many names that it was known for, this thing, this entity was a living embodiment of the Void itself, it is the creator of the Void and IS the Void as well.
And in this universe it's the only known godly being that was proven to exist, and it was here looking at me with a smug grin plastered across its face.
"What did you do to me? Why the hell am I here in this world?!" I couldn't help but shout at it.
I was originally sitting at home playing some Warframe on my computer and then suddenly I blacked out and now I found myself here during the events of the Zariman incident, a key point in the entire history and backstory of the universe that is Warframe.
"Hehehe… Why? Why he asks? Well Why not? After all you and all the others just saw this as a game that you could play to your heart's content and never saw it as a real thing so I just thought to myself, 'Why don't I just pluck one of those many, many, players out there and see what happens when they are forced to play my game?" He said with a sinister tone in his voice while I just grit my teeth in anger at that.
"But isn't this more interesting though? After all I brought you out of your boring everyday life in your reality and brought you over into my reality, although now that your here it's not as interesting if you know all the events that are going to happen, so why don't I make things a bit more…." He said before stopping as he grinned from ear to ear.
"Entertaining…. But only if you shake on it? After all if you refuse you know what's going to happen to you and all the kids in this room." He said holding out his grinning at me.
I grit my teeth as I didn't have a choice as if I didn't make this deal I knew what would happen to all of us.
Death, if I don't make this deal then all of us would die here, I have no idea what he planned to make my story more entertaining as he called it but no matter what I had no real choice in the matter, it was either I take the deal or I die.
So through gritted teeth I took his hand in mine, "Not like I have any choice now do I, but I will get back at you for this if it's the last thing I do." I said to him but he just chuckled at that.
"Hehehe…. I'd like to see you try Kiddo…."
I then felt a wave of energy coursing through my body before everything suddenly faded to black.
Not realizing that my path not only diverged in two separate paths but into three, one would become the operator and escape the Zariman, another would become trapped within the Zariman and locked away within the realm of Duviri, and lastly the third would be torn from the universe entirely and sent hurtling through the void to only reappear in a different place, in a different time.
And in a different story entirely.
But all the same as we were all one person in different points in our lives allowing us to interact with one another through a mere twist of fate.
*Flashback End*
I looked into the sky above only to see a massive tower looming over in the far distance.
It seemed familiar but one thing was very clear to me as I saw the beings surrounding my capsule I found myself in.
Many small green creatures surrounded my capsule as they waved their wooden clubs and spears as they tried smashing into the capsule I found myself in.
"We're not in Kansas anymore…." I couldn't help but mutter as I was now no longer in Warframe but in a different world and maybe universe entirely.
I guess this is what he meant by making things entertaining as I have no clue what was going on but one thing was for sure.
I'm in a dangerous situation right now with no way out.
