Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed Isabel by the arm and hurried toward the door, practically dragging her along.
"Does she really have to abandon me just because things didn't work out in her favor?" Isabel snapped angrily.
"Isabel—"
"I'm supposed to perform at the events Sterling promised for the models who worked with the winning designers! I thought GK would at least get first runner-up. Maybe even second. I was foolish to listen to her."
"It's not too late," Charles said after a moment, his eyes suddenly widening as an idea struck him. "We can still reach Selina."
"She won't take me back into her team," Isabel shot back.
"We'll give her an excuse," he insisted. Then his lips pressed together as another thought surfaced. "Now I remember. Annabelle is close to Selina. We can pressure Annabelle to help fix it."
