Standing on the balcony, Zane took a long, slow drag from his cigar. The soft glow of the moonlight sprawled across the vast compound yet barely hid his turmoil.
Clenching his jaw, he pressed his fingers against his temples, eyes closed.
"So," Zane's voice was dangerously low with the fury he was barely keeping beneath the surface. "You're saying you didn't even see those leeches lingering around? Perhaps they appeared out of nowhere?"
"We didn't see them, Big Boss. But we were ready to dispatch them. She was barely harmed." Terry answered, his voice trembling under the weight of his boss's simmering rage.
Beside him, Jerry remained frozen, his body quivering as if gripped by a sudden fever.
Jerry could only nod in agreement.
They had wanted to hide the media incident from Zane, but they had no idea how this terrifying man had found out.
