Ivy twisted her lips to the side, clenching a fist over her chest. "I never thought we'd cross paths again after that pleasant but very unpleasant event."
Selina held her expression steady. "Neither did I. So, are we going to start my evaluation, or do you want to rehash the past?"
Ivy's furious expression shifted into a sly smile as she lifted her chin. "I don't hold grudges against anyone who offends me. But you can only have this job if you apologize." She made her demand with smug confidence, certain Selina would cave because Winterson was the only place willing to accept her.
After all, Ivy was the boss here, and Selina would have to follow her rules.
Selina narrowed her brows, looking puzzled at the demand before letting out a scoff.
"I only apologize when I'm wrong. My memory hasn't failed me enough to forget I'm the one who deserves an apology," she said firmly, her voice sharp with defiance.
