Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Plans [2]

Chapter 14 Plans [2]

Somewhere in Capital Antares in an unfinished building.

"Why do we have to do this?"

The man shrugged his shoulders in annoyance.

"You know what they mean right?"

Another man replied shifting his binoculars.

"If only those bastards soldiers didn't lose the war."

"We wouldn't even have to do this."

"Really? Is this how you think?"

"I can't believe you were like this."

"Why did I make a mistake of making you as a friend."

The man stared at him like he was a worthless trash.

"Now calm down the two of you–"

Another man entered, diffusing the arguments.

"…"

"…"

The two held back and moved on.

"You know what general Mikael said to us right?"

The man raised his arm pointing at the two.

"Yeah yeah."

"Of course I know, it's to report the movements within the Empire right?"

Both of them nodded back.

1 day later…

"Wa–"

I yawned.

"That was a good sleep."

I reached out to see my clock.

<9:06 AM>

It was currently 9:06 AM.

The preparation wasn't over yet.

I stood up to get my clothes changed.

As usual I sat to a table, writing and making my journal.

I didn't really had any reason except for the fact I wanted to reveal the truth when I'd die in this world.

I wonder how my future kids would react to this one day.

Maybe they wouldn't take it seriously but truth should be known eventually.

Knock. Knock.

"Can I come in, Your Majesty?"

"Come inside Sebastian."

Screech–

The door opened.

"Your Majesty, breakfast is here."

"Oh thank you."

I took the plate Sebastian gave and put it on the table.

"Ahem."

Sebastian cleared his throat.

"What is it?"

I gestured back at him.

"Regarding the decisions you made, Your Majesty."

"There has been good news and bad news."

Sebastian's informed me, his hand clasped behind his back.

"Tell me the good news first."

I asked while eating my food.

'The good news must probably related to me.'

"Your Majesty, the kids you adopted and trained have awakened."

"All of them?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Sebastian smiled upon informing the good news.

'I was right.'

"What about the bad news?"

I continued to ask.

"Y–Your Majesty."

Sebastian stuttered.

'Is the news really that bad?'

The air around Sebastian suddenly tensed up.

Just looking at Sebastian whose atmosphere suddenly changed.

I braced for the impact of what he could say to me.

"The bad news is…"

"There has been reports of our intelligence units that allied spies have infiltrated the Empire."

"But don't worry Your Majesty, our intelligence units are trying their best to find them!"

Sebastian forced a smile to me while saying that.

'Really?'

'This was the bad news?'

"Sebastian, don't be such a scaredy cat."

"You can leave now, I'll check the full details later."

I gestured him to leave.

"As you wish, Majesty."

Screech–

Bang.

Sebastian had left the room now.

I could think in peace now that he was gone.

But first, finishing my food was priority.

A minute later…

"That was a good meal."

I put the plate aside in the table.

"Now where was I?"

"Spies."

I whispered to myself.

Considering the game's storyline at the start.

It was unusual for the Allied Nation to move this early.

Spies from the Allied Nations would typically start at the early middle part of the storyline.

So them moving this early meant my decisions influenced them.

As the name "spies" implied–it meant gathering information, reporting movements and more that I don't know of.

Just having them roaming free in my nation.

Would be like a nation on the palm of their hand.

Where everything could be controlled and manipulated.

Naturally I didn't want that to happen.

But considering the current situation, it wasn't that bad.

Because it was time for a major character from the game show up.

"Grey Oculus."

"A 3 star melee hero."

"Known for psychopathic behaviors."

Recalling my memories, this guy was the one I always used for stuffs like this.

Perfect for jobs unseen in the surface.

All the dirty work could be passed onto him and he wouldn't complain a single bit.

Simply because he had a tendency to kill people.

He was somewhat unpredictable by nature but had deep loyalty to the Empire.

If he was just like in the game, he should probably be like this in this world.

A dog for the Empire.

That was what most players referred to him.

It was time to meet that guy.

Antares Army Headquarters

At a Barracks.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Bang!

The door opened with a loud noise.

"Time to wake up soldiers!"

The instructor declared his voice absolute.

"Aughh… Isn't this too early?"

A man complained rising from his bed.

"Did I just hear a complaint?"

"You, do a push ups as a punishment!"

"Failure to comply will result in more punishments. Do you get it?!"

The instructor shouted.

"Y–Yes sir!"

The man replied, smiling bitterly.

"Poor dude, he must be new."

"I feel bad for him lol, he should have known since coming here."

"Anyways did you guys hear of a rumor?"

"What rumor?"

Most of the recruits had woken up from

their bed.

They continued to chatter with each other as they got up from their beds.

"Guys, I'm pretty new here, so what things should I know?"

Oculus asked, meeting their gaze.

"A rookie huh?"

"Let me introduce you what this place is like."

The man wrapped his arm around Oculus shoulder.

"This place isn't heaven but hell…!"

The man turned to Oculus, his hands moving erratically.

"That's all I can say but a piece of advice my friend."

"It's to listen to the orders given above."

"Just do that and no trouble should arise you friend.."

The man explained.

"Okay, I got it."

Oculus nodded.

It was now time for the recruits to eat their breakfast after waking up.

As they all headed to their way to the dining hall.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Numerous steps could be heard faintly.

At the distance, many officers came to sight.

One officer moved forward first to say something.

"Everyone! His Majesty is here!"

"Be at your best behavior now!"

The officer yelled walking with measured steps.

"What's his Majesty doing here?"

"I don't know dude, ask yourself."

"Maybe because of the rumor?"

"Is your brain like of a chicken? Take a look around fool."

Murmurs of the recruits echoed around the dining hall.

***

'Why do I have to be accompanied by these guys?'

I expressed myself in annoyance.

But they were right, what if something happened to me while I was alone?

I had directly made my way to the Antares Army HQ.

Reaching out into one of the barracks around the Antares Army HQ.

It was to find the major hero character "Grey Oculus" here.

I could find him directly now since I had the

ability to see the people's status.

I made my way to the dining hall apparently because they had woken up and weren't in the barracks anymore.

The officers followed me as I made my way there.
