The information on his attribute panel confirmed it.
Adam's sudden shout had startled his stalker into revealing itself.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
A flock of birds burst from the jungle, fleeing into the distance.
Adam stared intently at the seemingly tranquil forest ahead, yet no trace of any creature appeared.
After so much time exploring, Adam had long figured out the basic conditions for triggering his Player Ability.
The goblin tracking him was definitely within his line of sight!
Otherwise, the attribute panel wouldn't have displayed the information.
It could evade his vision and senses, but it couldn't fool the innate Player Ability.
1st-tier magic, Camouflage. Huh?
Adam's eyes gleamed. He knew this spell, it reduced the caster's presence and blended them into the jungle environment.
Like a chameleon.
Moreover, this spell was exclusive to faith-based casters.
Based on his earlier guesses, only two basic classes fit: Forest Priest or Druid.
Of course, classes like Forest Magician or higher-tier professions could also use it, but Adam doubted the goblin had such advanced classes.
A Druid, perhaps?
Skilled in tracking and capable of casting faith-based magic.
While classes were divided into basic, mid-tier, and high-tier, even within the same tier, some were stronger than others.
Take Paladins: though a warrior class, they boasted various buff skills and could cast faith-based magic.
In class evaluations, Paladins remained warriors, not counted toward caster levels.
Druids were similar.
But there was another possibility!
The goblin might have Forest Priest, a support-oriented caster class. If so, it likely had a second class specializing in tracking.
A dual-classer!
Adam's mind raced through these details, a cold glint in his eyes.
Since he'd pinpointed the general location, all that remained was to flush the goblin out.
Camouflage was highly concealable in a jungle, but the caster couldn't move vigorously.
Rustle!
Rustle!
Just as Adam was about to charge out of the narrow jungle path, a loud commotion erupted from the towering trees flanking the entrance.
The next moment, two massive ogres burst from the forest, blocking the path's entrance.
Seeing this, Adam froze, then sneered.
Well-prepared, aren't they?
These two ogres were clearly meant to seal the exit. The goblin tribe ahead likely had more ogres waiting. If he'd rushed in, in this terrain, these two could block his escape.
Even if he could kill them, it would cost precious time, and the other ogres would swarm him, putting him in real danger.
Thud!
Adam stomped the ground, accelerating his already swift sprint, charging toward the entrance like a cheetah.
"Rapid Slash!"
A low shout echoed.
Before the two ogres could fully position themselves, Adam targeted the left one, his iron sword flashing in a fierce horizontal slash!
Splurch!
Blood sprayed.
The sword's tremendous force cleaved through, slicing the left ogre in half at the waist. At such close range, green blood splattered across Adam.
Head twisting, Adam ignored the mess and charged the right ogre.
Another swift slash!
Without the skill's boost, this strike's power and speed were noticeably weaker.
The right ogre's eyes flashed with panic, but unlike its companion, it had time to react, hastily raising its massive wooden club to block.
Crack!
The iron sword bit into the club, sending splinters flying. The thick wood was cut two-thirds through before stopping.
The sheer force of Adam's swing pushed the ogre back a step.
A max-level Sword Saint Had strength surpassing the average ogre's level of 13 or 14, even with their demi-human racial bonuses. Adam's power held the upper hand.
Pity.
Adam eyed the ogre that blocked his attack, a flicker of regret in his gaze.
His weapon was too poor.
With a magic weapon, or even a finely crafted metal one, that ogre wouldn't have stopped his strike.
Seeing it had blocked the terrifying attack that felled its companion in one blow, the right ogre's eyes showed confusion, as if puzzled by how its kin had died so easily.
But such confusion was fleeting for an ogre. It only knew the human before it couldn't kill it instantly. Panic faded, replaced by a savage, ferocious grin.
Its club-wielding arm was pinned by the sword, so the ogre raised its other arm, clenching a fist, and swung at Adam.
A gust of wind followed!
Adam sidestepped effortlessly, dodging the punch.
"Seeing your companion sliced apart so easily, a human would've run by now, yet you counterattack?"
Half-turned, Adam watched the massive fist sail past, his voice dripping with mockery.
The punch had force, landing it would've hurt, but a miss meant nothing.
Adam raised his free left hand, aiming at the ogre's heart. In an instant, another iron sword appeared in his palm.
He thrust forward!
The blade easily pierced the ogre's tough, coarse skin, plunging into its heart.
"Argh!!"
With a twist, the ogre let out a wretched scream.
Splurch!
Adam yanked the sword free.
Ignoring the ogre collapsing in agony, he stepped past both and headed into the jungle ahead.
A few steps later, his attribute panel updated.

Tough as their vitality was, one sliced in half and the other with a pierced heart, neither lasted seconds before dying.
At that moment,
"ARHHHHH!!"
"Wraargh!!"
"Argh!"
"…"
Almost simultaneously with the ogres' deaths, bestial roars erupted from the goblin tribe behind.
Adam glanced back. Even from his brief look, he spotted at least five ogres charging out of the jungle.
Clearly, they'd planned to wait until he entered the tribe before emerging. But seeing him not only avoid the trap but also leave, they couldn't hold back and rushed out.
However, the narrow jungle path was ill-suited for multiple massive ogres. They bottlenecked at the entrance, roaring in frustration.
"Tch, too slow."
Adam gripped his twin swords, his face cold, turning to face the jungle ahead.
Swish!
Swish!
His blades slashed through nearby bushes, grass, and branches, wreaking havoc across a wide area.
Broken green foliage scattered.
He didn't know the goblin's exact hiding spot, but it was within his field of vision. Destroying everything in range would do the trick!
Meanwhile, just ten meters away, behind a dense bush near a leafy tree, the goblin trembled.
Its body perfectly matched the surrounding foliage, its presence utterly concealed.
It would die!
It would definitely die!
The goblin's white sclera brimmed with terror and panic, its body shaking uncontrollably.
