Few days went by, and it was finally time to go to the Scythe's Academy.
I packed my things and was taken to the Scythe's Academy by my dad.
We arrived at the Scythe's Academy and I stood in front of its huge metal door before going inside of it.
When I left the house, I bid my mom goodbye and when my dad dropped me off at the Scythe's Academy, I bid him goodbye as well.
…
After going inside, I went to the receptionist desk and was met with the same female receptionist as before. I greeted her, but I don't know why she had a big smile on her face after seeing me.
"Mr. Jin! Welcome! Please come this way. The Head Principal asked me to bring you to him when you got here. He has been waiting for you.", she said with a smile while escorting me to the Head Principal's office.
After arriving at the Head Principal's office, the female receptionist knocked on the door. Immediately after, the voice that came from within the Head Principal's office was, "come in."
The female receptionist opened the office door and brought me inside. Seeing me, the Head Principal got a smile on his face, but tried to not lose his composure.
"Ahem… welcome back, Mr. Jin. It's a pleasure to see you again.", the Head Principal said as calmly as possible.
What's going on? Why are they smiling at me? Do I have something on my face or what?
"Yes, it's nice to see you too, Head Principal.", I responded quickly.
"Mr. Jin Kang. As of this moment, you have been recommended by the Head Principal as a Special Student, so unlike everyone else, you don't have to take any examinations to be admitted into the Scythe's Academy.", the Head Principal said with a serious expression and stretched out his hand.
I stood there, speechless. My eyes slightly widened. I stretched out my hand as well and we shook our hands upon making contact with each other.
Seeing the bag that I carried on my back, the Head Principal said in a calm tone, "Looks like you have all the necessary tools for studying."
"Alright, let me show you to your classes.", the Head Principal added.
"Thank you, Head Principal.", I responded as we began to walk.
On the way to the first class, the Head Principal told me about all the classes. What classes I will need to attend, how they are, if they are required.
Out of nowhere, the Head Principal asked me a question, "Mr. Jin, what type of Scythe are you?"
"…"
I thought for a moment before answering.
I can fight with a sword. But I don't want to say that.
"I'm a mage. I can use "Fire Magic", I responded after a few seconds.
"Ohh! A mage! And you have "Fire Magic" at that! Amazing! Truly amazing!", the Head Principal said with a surprised laugh.
"It's not that uncommon. Almost every mage has "Fire Magic". Mine is not that different.", I responded with indifference to my expression.
"Yes, that's true. "Fire Magic" is very common. But, being a Fire Mage as an A-Class is rare. Very rare in fact. You have the potential to surpass all the A-Class Scythes if you dedicate yourself long enough to learning about magic.", the Head Principal said with a serious expression on his face.
I looked over at him from the corner of my eye before looking straight back to the front and continued walking until finally stopping in front of a classroom door which had 'Magic' written on top of it.
