Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 - 80,100th Goblin King Shaman

Scythes slowly began entering the throne room led by the raid leader. Everyone was on guard. Making sure that no more surprise attacks could come near them.

Hundreds of goblins, and goblin guards were inside the throne room, guarding the one sitting on the throne.

They slowly went inside throne room, walked up to the throne, and stopped a few meters away.

The raid leader gripped his long sword tightly, as if readying to strike down his foe. But, to his surprise, the figure sitting on the throne, spoke.

"***** **** ****! * ****** ******* *** ** ******* ** ******** ******! *** *** *** ** **** * *****!"

The raid leader had a confused expression. He saw the figure move it's mouth as if he was saying something, but no one understood what he said.

"Is it… saying something?!"

"Can monsters speak?!"

"Why is it smiling at us?!"

"It's so ugly!"

The Scythes said, with visible concern.

"So you're another one of those Lord-Class who can speak, huh. But, unfortunately, we don't understand your kind's language."

The raid leader said, his expression seemingly annoyed.

[ New Skill Acquired: Otherworldly Language ]

[ Now you can understand the different languages of otherworldly beings, and of your own world ]

[ You've done well! I should commend you on dodging my surprise attack! Not many can do such a thing! ]

The lines that the figure had spoken a couple seconds ago, replayed in my mind, and I understand everything, every sentence, and every word.

Looks like I've got a new skill.

I learned that I could speak their language only when I had my skill "Otherworldly Language" activated.

I stood in the back lines. Away from the actual fight. Holding the short sword.

While the fighting was going on in the front, I, in the back, had collected a sufficient number of fresh corpses, and put them in "Shadow Swallow".

I learned some things about "Shadow Swallow" while everyone was fighting in the front.

Firstly: "Shadow Swallow" is an infinite space. Sort of like a storage, or item box with infinite capacity. No matter how much, or how many things I put in there, it will never be filled.

Secondly: Any inanimate object I put in "Shadow Swallow" will never spoil. May it be water, fruit, or anything else.

Lastly, and the most impressive, and shocking feature of "Shadow Swallow" is Time Stop. It essentially stops time for anything I put in "Shadow Swallow". So no matter how many, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years go by, the item that I put in will stay the same until I eventually take it out.

Will it work the same way on humans as it works on inanimate objects? I don't know. We'll find out when the time comes.

"Wait?"

The figure spoke, expressing it's curiosity upon talking a closer look at the Scythes.

"You're humans! This is my first time seeing humans, and there are so many of you!"

The figure spoke again, excitedly, as if he had found new toys to play with.

"It keeps saying something, but what is it saying?!"

"This is creeping me out!"

"It's creepy the way it's looking at us!"

"I feel uncomfortable!"

"I don't wanna stay here anymore!"

The Scythes expressed their worries, and concerns.

"Everyone! Keep your heads straight! This is enemy territory! So don't let your guards down! Understood?"

The raid leader said, getting everyone's attention, in a slightly loud voice.

"Y-yes! Understood!"

All Scythes responded in unison.

"I wish I could keep you all to myself as pets. But, if I did that, lord Jugram will get mad, and kill us."

The figure said, not so excitedly.

"It make me sad that I must kill you all when we have only just met. But, orders are orders."

The figure added.

"Let me introduce myself at least, before I kill you all, and absorb your essence for our lord______, the almighty ruler of the forgotten realm."

The figure added again.

"I am the 80,100th Goblin King of Dark Force. And my name is Shaman. As you might have expected from my appearance."

The figure, goblin king shaman said, expressively.

"You keep running your mouth, but I have no idea what you're talking about."

The raid leader said, his expression serious, unwavering.

No one can understand what it's saying except me. Should I tell them? No, wait! If I tell them, they're gonna suspect something. Like, how do I know what it's saying, or how can I understand it's language. And, worst of all, if they find out that I'm not a Scythe, and that I'm pretending to be someone else after I knocked them out, and left them in an alleyway. If nothing else, I have to avoid being found out. So I should just keep a low profile until we're out of this Wormhole Portal.

Goblin King Shaman slightly raised his left hand, and materialized a wooden staff that had a soccer ball sized orb on it.

Goblin King Shaman pointed his wooden staff towards the Scythes, and said, "kill them"

After hearing the command to kill, every goblin ran towards the Scythes. Some goblins who were standing on high ground, or in the back, had shot arrows toward them.

A male Scythe named Henry Smith who stood in the back, observed everything that was going on. He had short dark black hair, and light brown eyes. He was wearing a black robe with armor, and gear attached to it. He looked to be 17 to 18 years old.

After he saw that the arrows were shot towards them, he whispered, "There's no strategy. Do they really think we're that easy to deal with? Typical monsters. No brains, and only browns."

Henry Smith raised his left hand, and said, "Unbreakable Shield"

An invisible shield with a slight green glow appeared in front of the Scythes, blocking the incoming arrows.

The goblins who shot the arrows were shocked when none of the arrows hit their marks.

"I was wondering when you would start taking action too, Henry Smith. Seems like now is the time."

The raid leader said, excitedly.

"Seems it is."

Henry Smith responded, causally.
