Chapter 56 - Chapter 11: Ironclad Evidence

Volume 4: Counterattack from the Edge

Summary: Kevin delivers the crucial evidence Jack gathered to the regulatory authorities, exposing Richard's crimes in full. The conspiracy surrounding Jack begins to unravel.

Moonlight bathed the deck of the yacht, casting a pale, ghostly glow over Richard's terrified face. Jack's blade pressed cold and steady against his throat, death looming close enough for the once-powerful financier to taste.

"Kill me, and you'll never escape," Richard stammered, his voice shaking under the weight of Jack's fury. He could feel it radiating off him—raw, unrelenting vengeance.

Jack smirked, tightening the pressure slightly until a thin line of blood trickled down Richard's neck. "I won't make it easy for you, Richard. I want you ruined. I want you disgraced. I want you to know what it feels like to fall from the top—to lose everything, just like I did. Did you really think you could get away with all this?"

Isabella watched the confrontation with growing unease. She knew Jack better than anyone—knew how rage could cloud his judgment. But she also understood that now was not the time to give in to vengeance. Now was the time for justice.

"Jack, don't do anything reckless," she said softly but firmly. "Let him talk. We need the truth. We'll use the law to bring him down."

Jack exhaled sharply, forcing the anger back beneath the surface. Isabella's words cut through the storm inside him, grounding him. She was right. This wasn't about revenge anymore—it was about accountability.

"Go to the helm," he murmured, shoving Richard hard against the railing at the edge of the deck.

Richard stumbled, gripping the metal bar behind him for support. His legs trembled as he stared into Jack's eyes—eyes filled with fire and fury.

"Jack… listen to me," Richard pleaded. "If you let me go, I can give you money. Power. Anything you want!"

Jack laughed bitterly. "You're in no position to offer anything, Richard. I don't want your money. I don't want your power. I want the truth. Who ordered you to frame me? Tell me everything—every crime you've committed!"

Richard paled. If he spoke, prison would be the least of his worries. But if he stayed silent, Jack might kill him on the spot.

"I… I'll talk," he finally rasped. "But you have to promise me protection. Promise me my life."

Jack leaned in, voice like ice. "You only have one choice. Either tell the truth and face the consequences—or die here, buried in the ocean forever."

The last vestige of defiance drained from Richard's face. He had nowhere left to run.

"It was… Harold Klein, "he whispered, then louder, more broken." Harold Klein of Klein Investments - he ordered me to set you up! He said you were a threat to his empire on Wall Street. He wanted you gone!"

His heart pounded like thunder. Harold Klein - the name struck him like lightning. A legend on Wall Street the founder of Klein Investments. A man Jack had once admired, studied, even modeled himself after. And now, he learned that this shining titan of finance had orchestrated his downfall from the shadows.

"Who else?" Jack demanded. He knew this couldn't have been Harold's scheme alone.

With trembling lips, Richard revealed the names of others involved—government officials, media figures, prominent financiers. Each had played their part in the elaborate plot, united by greed and ambition.

Jack recorded every word, capturing the full confession. This was the weapon he needed.

"You're done," Jack said coldly. Then he motioned for Isabella.

She emerged from the helm, holding out a USB drive. "I found detailed records of Richard's illegal transactions and emails linking him directly to Harold Klein.

Jack took the drive, a quiet satisfaction settling in his chest. Everything was ready now. All that remained was to strike.

He pulled out his phone and dialed Kevin.

"Kevin, contact every major news outlet. I'm calling a press conference. I'm going to expose Richard - and Harold Klein - for what they really are."

Back in New York, at the headquarters of Klein Investments, Harold Klein lounged comfortably in his leather chair sipping premium Colombian coffee. He believed Jack Reno was finished—nothing more than a cautionary tale now.

Then his assistant burst into the office, panic written across his face.

"Sir, something's happened!" he gasped. "Big trouble!"

Harold frowned, setting his cup down. "Calm yourself. What is it?"

"Richard Black has been arrested!" the assistant blurted out. "He's being charged with illegal trading and corruption!"

The cup slipped from Harold's hand, shattering on the expensive carpet. His face turned pale. "What?! That's impossible!"

He grabbed the remote and switched on the TV. Breaking news flashed across the screen—Richard Black, in handcuffs, being led into a police car.

The anchor's voice rang out: "Wall Street magnate Richard Black has been taken into custody over allegations of illegal trading and corruption. Sources suggest Black may not have acted alone—this scandal could reach far beyond one man."

Harold tried to steady his breathing. He told himself it was a coincidence. Richard wouldn't betray him. Their bond was unbreakable.

But then the next image shattered his illusion.

Jack Reno appeared on screen, standing before a crowd of reporters, eyes sharp, posture unwavering.

"Today, I stand before you to reveal a conspiracy that has shaken the very foundation of Wall Street," Jack declared. "Richard Black didn't act alone. Behind him lurked a darker force—one willing to break laws and destroy lives to protect its interests. And that force is led by none other than Harold Klein Investments!

Harold froze, paralyzed by disbelief. It was as if hell itself had risen to claim him.

"No… this can't be real…" he muttered, unable to accept that his carefully laid plans had unraveled so completely. That Jack had dared to expose him so openly.

Then came the final blow.

A recording played—Richard's confession, detailing every order from Harold, every meeting, every bribe. Alongside it were documents, emails—irrefutable proof.

Harold collapsed into his chair, his world crumbling around him. Decades of wealth, influence, and reputation—all of it—gone in an instant.

The following day, Wall Street trembled. The exposure of Richard and Harold's crimes sparked outrage across the financial world. Regulatory agencies launched immediate investigations into Klein Investments. Harold was arrested, his fate sealed by the weight of undeniable evidence.

Jack Reno's name echoed through the streets of New York once again—not as a fallen trader, but as a hero who had exposed corruption, defeated his enemies, and cleared his name.

Yet Jack felt no pride, no triumph. He knew this was only the beginning.

He stood on the shore of Saint Lucia Island, gazing into the horizon, his eyes burning with determination.

His time had come.

And this time, nothing would stop him from reclaiming everything he had lost.
