Chapter 13 - Bonus Chapter 13: Solve It

More importantly, Nezuko seemed more significant to Shin Arashi. After all, her safety was directly tied to his own survival.

Therefore, everything Shin Arashi did was focused on the mission. Anything that wasn't related to his goal would naturally be ignored.

Thanks to the properties of the Demon-Slaying Sword, an attack that had originally been ineffective against the demon began to show results.

The wounds on the demon's body were now suppressed by the sword's unique abilities, preventing them from healing quickly. As a result, a large amount of blood poured out from the wounds, staining the demon's entire body.

The demon's entire body was red, like a bloody corpse. The countless wounds from the sword made the demon's body even more terrifying.

It could be said that this method was a hundred times more, cruel than simply killing the demon. Shin Arashi's approach was like cutting it into pieces with a thousand knives, each strike without mercy.

Because the demon's body had lost so much blood, its movements had slowed dramatically, and it was on the verge of collapsing completely.

As the main body, Kito—who was the demon controlling it—was also greatly affected. Though these effects weren't fatal, they gave Tanjiro an opening to fight back.

Tanjiro, with determination in his eyes, faced the demon that had grown two extra arms. The demon, Oni, confronted him head-on, and when Tanjiro tried to swing his axe to strike, Oni caught it with the two arms it had grown. With a terrifying force, the demon twisted, and its long hair wrapped around the handle of Tanjiro's axe, holding it in place.

The struggle for control of the axe continued as Tanjiro and the demon head clashed. However, the demon head, weakened by the effects of its demon body, suddenly found itself lacking strength. Seizing the opportunity, Tanjiro slammed his hard head into the demon repeatedly.

The impact left Kito disoriented, and he completely lost his grip. With swift precision, Tanjiro swung the axe with all his might, driving it toward a tree trunk.

Kito's hair, still entangled in the axe's handle, left him vulnerable. Dizzy and unable to break free, he was powerless to stop what happened next. The axe buried itself deep into the tree trunk, pinning the demon's head securely.

On the other hand, on Shin Arashi's side, the demon body finally fell down completely after being slashed by Shin Arashi countless times. The area around the fallen demon body was covered with blood.

The blood stained the ground, turning it red, and the air was filled with the strong, unpleasant smell of blood.

As the demon's body collapsed, Shin Arashi stopped swinging his sword. The battle was over. After countless strikes, the Demon-Slaying Sword had absorbed a lot of the demon's blood, and its blade now glowed with a faint purple light.

A notification appeared in Shin Arashi's mind:

[Demon Slaying Sword Upgrade: Ordinary Lower Grade — Ordinary Upper Grade]

[Attribute effect enhanced by 5%]

Shin Arashi felt a surge of excitement as he received a message from the super dimensional travel system. The Demon-Slaying Sword had leveled up. He couldn't help but wonder: If he soaked the sword in a pool of demon blood overnight, would it become a divine weapon?

Shin Arashi felt a bit excited just thinking about it, but he knew the idea was probably a little unrealistic.

The later upgrades might require more blood, but that was just Shin Arashi's guess. After all, he had played many online games when he first became a super-dimensional traveler, so he understood these kinds of systems well.

"Senior, I've got demon under control, come here quickly!" Tanjiro called out, waving at Shin Arashi.

Shin Arashi sheathed the Demon-Slaying Sword and turned to Nezuko. "Come with me," he said.

Nezuko seemed to understand, so she followed as Shin Arashi walked toward Tanjiro.

"Tanjiro, finish it!" Shin Arashi said calmly, looking at Tanjiro.
