Banners hung on the walls of the palace, like invitations to a glamorous event. The chandelier was bright and shining like the morning glow—it was happening. The long-awaited day and time was finally here, and the people couldn't wait to meet the new couple.
Outside the palace gates, the people flooded the palace. A separate hall was prepared for those who had no invites and couldn't make it to the grand wedding banquet. Within the center tower, a figure stood before a huge mirror, all glowed up in a white wedding robe. The soft silk gown hugged her body nicely, and the flare covered the floor.
Adela stared at her figure, her eyes heavy with sleep, and the makeup covered the dark circles, but happiness was far gone.
"You look beautiful," Queen Melissa chirped as she walked in.
Adela smiled and fell into her embrace. It was only a matter of hours, and all would be well.
"For years I've thought about this day, and seeing you now looking so gorgeous makes me want to cry."
