As Itachi said, "Well, Lord Hokage, I can explain it—but not in full. I believe it's something you need to see for yourself."
Minato and Hiruzen blinked in surprise. "What do you mean, Itachi?" Hiruzen asked.
Itachi responded, "Can you teleport us to the training ground? You placed seals around it for emergencies, didn't you?"
Minato nodded. "Yes, I did. If anything ever went wrong, I made sure I could get there immediately."
Itachi continued, "Then teleport us both—me and Lord Third—as well. You both need to see it."
Minato glanced at Hiruzen, who gave a brief nod. Without hesitation, Minato formed a seal and teleported them.
When they arrived at the training field, Minato glanced around at first—then froze as his eyes locked onto the massive crater ahead. His expression darkened with disbelief.
Hiruzen stood beside him, equally stunned, staring at the enormous destruction before them. The crater stretched deep and wide—an entire section of the training ground had been obliterated.
"Itachi," Minato said slowly, his voice heavy with shock, "explain."
Itachi nodded and began. "When the test began, he… simply vanished from my sight. I'm certain he didn't use any technique. It was pure, raw speed. I saw faint flashes here and there, but nothing clear enough to react to. He reappeared right in front of me—I barely dodged, but his next attack almost shattered my shoulder." He gestured to his arm, still glowing faintly with medical chakra. "It's badly cracked."
He continued, "After that, I released a fireball toward him—trying to catch or distract him—but he just pointed a finger at it… and it vanished. Completely. Snuffed out like it never existed. Then I saw a stream of purplish fire rushing toward me, burning through the forest like paper. I barely escaped."
Minato and Hiruzen remained silent, listening intently.
"I tried to trap him in a genjutsu," Itachi added, "but even with my Sharingan, it was impossible. His chakra is so dense, so overwhelming, that I couldn't penetrate it. My chakra couldn't invade his system at all. It was like trying to break into a fortress. My genjutsu simply failed."
He paused, his eyes narrowing. "After that, I used my summoning jutsu to turn into crows and retreat. But before I escaped, he slammed his fist into the ground—and then this happened."
He gestured toward the massive crater.
Minato stared at it in disbelief. The crater stretched at least 300 meters across. Nearly the entire training field had been annihilated. Only a small portion remained intact—and even that was barely holding together.
"How… How is this even possible?" Minato muttered. "He's just an eight-year-old boy."
Itachi shook his head. "I don't know, Lord Hokage. But I'm his sensei now. I'll do my best to guide him, and to understand this power he possesses. I'll also try to find out whether it's something unique to him… or something others can learn. But from what I've seen, his strength is similar to Lady Tsunade's or even the First Hokage's."
Minato's eyes narrowed in thought.
Itachi added, "Naruto's chakra control is exceptional. And his chakra is… denser and more potent than any child I've ever seen. Maybe even more than most shinobi alive today. It's possible he's recreated a form of Tsunade-sama's superhuman strength. With chakra reserves like his—and perfect control—this level of destruction could be within reach."
Minato slowly nodded. "That might be the only explanation… Somehow, Naruto has recreated or instinctively learned a chakra-enhanced strength technique like Tsunade's. And from the looks of this crater—he's already surpassed it."
He allowed a small, proud smile to form on his lips—but part of him also trembled inside. This power… it was far beyond what he had anticipated. It could protect the village—or destroy it.
Only time would tell what path Naruto would choose.

As Itachi walked back to his home, his mind was still occupied with thoughts of the training session earlier that day. When he finally arrived, he saw Sasuke waiting for him outside.
Itachi raised an eyebrow at the sight of his younger brother. Sasuke looked up and smiled.
"Itachi-niisan!"
Itachi returned the smile gently and gestured for Sasuke to come inside. Sasuke eagerly followed, talking excitedly about his first day at the Academy—how he did well in class, how he met new people, and how he was going to beat Menma Uzumaki soon.
Itachi gave a soft chuckle, half-listening as his mind wandered. He was still thinking about his new apprentice—Naruto. The boy had incredible potential. Itachi had always taken pride in his genjutsu abilities, but when his illusions failed to affect Naruto, it was a surprise that left a lasting impression.
They entered the house to find the rest of the Uchiha family already seated at the dinner table. His father, Fugaku, gave him a knowing look that made Itachi pause. He quietly took his seat.
"Father. Mother," he greeted respectfully.
Mikoto smiled warmly at her eldest son. "Welcome home, Itachi. Why don't you sit down? I'm just about to serve dinner."
Itachi nodded and took his seat. Sasuke, meanwhile, continued rambling beside him—going on about how he was going to get stronger and how he'd made new friends at the Academy.
Just then, Mikoto returned with dinner, and Fugaku finally spoke.
"Well, Itachi," Fugaku said in a calm but firm tone. "I've heard some things. Care to shed some light on them?"
Itachi looked at his father, his expression unreadable.
"I heard you've been removed from the ANBU Black Ops," Fugaku continued. "Mind explaining why?"
Sasuke blinked and looked up at his brother. "Wait—Itachi-niisan, you're not in ANBU anymore? Does that mean you can train me more now?"
Itachi gave a small shake of his head. "Later, Sasuke," he said gently, then turned his gaze back to Fugaku.
"Yes, Father. I've been given a special assignment by the Lord Hokage."
Fugaku raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what kind of assignment would require you to leave the ANBU?"
