The dimly lit alleyways of Clanda City whispered secrets to those who dared to listen. Aryan and Kale followed the mysterious man through a labyrinth of narrow passages, the city's bustling noise fading into the distance. The man's cloak billowed slightly with each step, concealing his identity and intentions.
After what felt like an eternity, they arrived at a secluded courtyard, its walls adorned with creeping ivy and the remnants of forgotten graffiti. The man turned to face them, his hood casting a shadow over his face.
"You seek the truth about Blade," he began, his voice gravelly. "But be warned, knowledge comes at a price."
Aryan exchanged a glance with Kale, then nodded. "We're willing to pay that price."
The man hesitated, then sighed. "Very well. But understand, Blade is not what it appears to be."
He paused, gathering his thoughts. "To the outside world, Blade is a reputable business corporation, endorsed by the World Government itself. They extract Pluse crystals from mining operations, claiming to help Plusers enhance their abilities. The government purchases these crystals at discounted rates, providing military support in return."
Kale frowned. "That doesn't sound entirely nefarious."
The man nodded. "On the surface, it isn't. But beneath that facade lies a darker truth. Blade engages in human trafficking, abducting the poor and vulnerable. The people of this city live in fear, too terrified to speak out."
Aryan's fists clenched. "Has anyone tried to expose them?"
"Some have," the man replied solemnly. "Two super soldiers and twenty regular soldiers were dispatched to investigate. But Blade covered their tracks well. After the soldiers left, those who dared to file complaints were found dead, their bodies mutilated as a warning to others."
Kale's expression darkened. "How many cities does Blade control?"
"Four, possibly five," the man answered. "Each under the command of a leader. Here in Clanda City, that leader is Kraven."
At the mention of the name, Aryan's eyes narrowed, a flicker of recognition and rage crossing his face.
"You know him?" the man inquired.
Aryan's voice was cold. "He's the reason I'm here."
The man nodded slowly. "Then our goals align. My brother was one of those who tried to expose Blade. He paid the ultimate price. I want revenge."
Kale placed a hand on Aryan's shoulder. "We'll take them down. Together."
The man extended his hand. "Then let's begin."
As the three men stood united in purpose, the shadows of Clanda City seemed to grow darker, the weight of their mission pressing heavily upon them. But within that darkness, a spark of hope ignited—a hope that justice would prevail.
