Morning came, two days after the night I spent with the three elves.

I was getting dressed to head out. Normally, I'd be preparing for knight training, but today was different—it was for a new mission.

As I adjusted my outfit in the mirror, Agnes, who stood nearby, spoke up.

"I didn't expect you'd actually enter the castle as Kiella's secretary."

"Yeah. I'm not sure what the queen is planning, but whatever it is, I'll handle it."

"Be careful, Dayke. The queen might be plotting something."

"I will. Don't worry."

Agnes looked at me with a worried expression, like a wife sending her husband off to battle.

"If you need the Knights' support, just let me know. I'll find a way to convince the others to help you."

In truth, storming the castle with the Knights and Kiella's support would be the most effective way to bring down the queen. But there was one major obstacle.

"If the knights act, we'll likely end up fighting the royal wizards. Are you prepared for that?"

"But if it's for you, Dayke…"

The royal wizards live in secrecy, dedicating themselves to magical research. But when the kingdom is threatened, they emerge to restore order. If the knights turned against the queen, the wizards would surely intervene, and a violent clash would be inevitable.

That was a situation I wanted to avoid at all costs.

"Don't worry. I'll do everything I can to handle this on my own. If I really can't, I'll call for help then."

"Alright, I understand. But once you enter the castle, I won't be able to see you for a while…"

"It's fine. I'll visit you on my days off. Or better yet, since Kiella is my superior now, you can just ask her for leave."

"True… Either way, please take care of yourself."

"I will. Thanks, Agnes."

After fixing her collar and giving her a light kiss, I left the barracks and made my way toward the castle.

[Reminder of the Corruption Progression Achievement Guide]

'…Reminder?'

Glowing letters floated in the air—visible only to me. They reminded me of the moment before I fell asleep with the elves a few nights ago.

'Ah, right. I was too tired to read it properly then.'

Strangely considerate, it was nice to be reminded. But the next line quickly shattered that sentiment.

[Fuck Princess Iril.]

'…What? What is this nonsense?'

Sure, the princess stood in the way of my revenge on the queen. But suggesting that I fuck her? That was insane.

'I want to corrupt the wicked elves—not turn into trash myself.'

Thankfully, the guide was only a suggestion. I didn't have to follow it.

I would find my own way to deal with the princess. One that didn't involve hurting her.

'Fucking a princess isn't just wrong—it's disgusting.'

With that thought, I dismissed the screen with a scoff and continued walking forward.

[MC POV]

The queen's throne room—one I hadn't stepped into for quite some time.

As I entered, my eyes immediately found Kiella, who had arrived earlier, and the queen, seated with a cold expression on her throne.

"…Welcome, Dayke."

The queen's tone made it clear—she wasn't happy.

There was no warmth or sincerity in her greeting, but I didn't let it bother me.

"Thank you for calling me. I'm honored to be recognized by Her Majesty."

"There's no need for flattery. You'll only remain in the castle while Justice Kiella adjusts to royal life."

"Yes, of course."

"Ha… Kiella, I expect you to adjust quickly."

Squeak… Bang!

Suddenly, the doors to the throne room swung open.

"Dayke!"

A cheerful voice rang out. It was Princess Iril.

"Baby, what are you doing here…!"

"Welcome to the castle! I'm so happy. This means Dayke's abilities have been acknowledged!"

"Thank you, Princess."

Word must have spread quickly. She had probably rushed over the moment she heard I'd be entering the castle.

"Thank you too, Kiella, for being so kind to Dayke."

"You don't need to thank me. It's just because he's good at what he does, right?"

"…Baby, aren't you supposed to be in class? Did you skip again?"

"No, mamama. I just came during my break. Dayke must be nervous since he's here for work."

While speaking, she reached out and took both of my hands in hers.

"Dayke has done great so far, so don't be nervous. Just show them what you're capable of! Oh, and tonight…"

She trailed off, then shot me a subtle look. There had been no prior arrangement, but I knew what she meant.

She wanted me to visit her room again tonight—something that had become routine ever since the first time I sneaked in.

"Baby, what was that just now?"

"Huh? Oh, nothing! I was just saying Dayke should do his best starting today and get a good night's rest! Okay, Dayke? Promise you'll rest well tonight? I'm going now!"

After the princess left the throne room—prompted by a sigh from the queen—I received basic training from Kiella and other castle residents on what to do going forward.

My official title was interim legal assistant.

Since there was no armor designed for human men, I couldn't wear a knight's gear. Instead, I was given a proper suit. They said they couldn't lower the dignity of the castle, even for someone like me.

It was my first day working in the castle as Kiella's legal advisor.

Now that I had finally stepped into the enemy's stronghold, I wanted to explore the castle's layout and learn the queen's daily routine. But that wasn't possible yet.

They thought it would raise suspicion if I wandered around too much on the very first day. It seemed smarter to stay calm and cautious instead of being too eager and drawing unnecessary attention.

So my first day passed uneventfully, doing nothing but my assigned duties.

And when night came, I didn't stay in the room next to Kiella's quarters. Instead, I responded to the princess's invitation.

'Is anyone watching…?'

Just because I was now part of the castle staff didn't mean I could openly go to the princess's room. I still had to sneak out, just like before.

I slipped outside and headed to the castle's backyard, where I could see her window.

Then I used the magical flashlight she had given me and shined it at her window.

As expected, she lowered a rope made from tied blankets.

"Welcome!"

She greeted me the moment I climbed in through the window. Her face was even brighter than it had been that morning in the throne room.

"You're amazing to remember the password!"

"If you signal me that clearly, how could I miss it?"

"Oh, really? Then… is there any chance the queen noticed too?"

"Probably not."

"Whew… that's a relief."

Her expressions changed with every word. I couldn't help but smile.

"Then, since no one saw you, I'll talk a lot again today!"

"Go ahead."

"By the way, Dayke—didn't you forget something?"

Suddenly, she blinked and asked with an expectant look.

It seemed like she was waiting for something, but I had no idea what.

'Did I promise to bring her something?'

"What do you mean?"

"You became a legal assistant thanks to me, you know. Momma was going to reject Kiella's request, but I talked her into it. She finally agreed. Hehe."

I had been surprised when the queen accepted my appointment so easily. Turns out the princess was the reason behind it.

"I'm sorry—I didn't even know. Thank you so much."

"Well… I tried to convince her with calm and logical arguments, like an adult. But she wouldn't listen to me at all, so I got upset… and cried again…"

Her shoulders drooped as she spoke, clearly still disappointed.

"But thanks to those tears, I was able to come here. Tears can be powerful tools in negotiation—you did great."

"Really? You think so? I did well, didn't I? Hehe…"

A few comforting words were all it took. Or maybe she just had very thin ears. Either way, not even ten seconds after sulking, the princess was back to smiling brightly.

At the moment when we were facing each other and sharing a light smile, something unwelcome appeared in front of her face.

[Reminder of the Corruption Progression Achievement Guide]

'…It's popping up again.'

[Corruption progression is achievable. Fuck Princess Iril.]

Yes, given the current circumstances, it would be entirely possible if I wanted to.

After all, we were alone in her room, and she was a physically weak elf. Subduing her wouldn't require effort. But even if the princess desired it, as I've already made clear—I had no intention of fucking her.

If I repaid the kindness she once showed me in my previous life with such an act, what would that make me? A man? Or just a beast?

Not wanting to see another one of these pointless messages, I focused my thoughts and turned off the app's notification function.

"Dayke? Why are you staring at me like that…?"

"Huh? Oh, Princess, it's just… your smile is really beautiful."

"W-What? You said that…? I-I see… Ahaha…"

The atmosphere suddenly turned awkward because of my flustered compliment. Just as I was about to change the subject, the princess spoke first.

"Shouldn't we sit instead of standing the whole time?"

"Yes, Princess."

"You know, they served broccoli at lunch today. But I wasn't really in the mood for it, so I tried to sneak it away, and then the maid said, Well…'"

The moment she sat on the bed, she dove straight into her story.

I let the discomfort from earlier fade and got absorbed in our conversation.

[POV Change]

The night after, he entered the castle as a legal assistant.

The entire castle was shrouded in darkness, with the lights turned off. Only the office of the Supreme Court Justice remained brightly lit.

That was because Kiella, who had returned to her position as Chief Justice, was still inside organizing documents while the rest of the castle slept.

"Whew, it's done. You're more meticulous than you look, working this late."

Kiella, busy arranging her desk, replied to Dayke's comment.

"I'm just trying to get things ready in advance so the next day goes smoothly. I only worked this late because I just came back to the position. I'll finish on time moving forward. Anyway, you didn't have to help all the way to the end…"

"It's fine. This way we could finish quickly."

There wasn't any special reason Dayke stayed behind to help. He simply wanted to sleep with her tonight.

If Kiella were left to work alone, there would be no telling when she'd be done, so it was better to get it over with together.

'Should we go back to my room now…? No, is that even necessary?'

Fucking here would create a new kind of thrill. Watching Kiella squirm in discomfort would be a bonus. It was killing two birds with one stone.

With those thoughts, he walked toward Kiella, wearing a sly smile.

"You went through quite a bit of trouble coming back to the castle because of me."

"… What are you suddenly talking about?"

"I thought I should reward the hardworking slave."

He slowly reached out and stroked Kiella's thigh.

"H-Hold on a minute…"

"It's fine. Everyone's asleep anyway. What elf would be here at this hour?"

Kiella's heart pounded as she realized she couldn't resist Dayke—and at the same time, a wave of anticipation stirred inside her.

Even as he began to undress her, she didn't fight back. Just then, the phone in his pocket lit up on its own.

It was strange, but because he had turned off all notifications from the app, he didn't notice.

His attention was fully fixed on Kiella.

Meanwhile, text began appearing on the screen.

[Confirmation that the user has no will to achieve corruption progress. Self-assistance system activated.]

However, nothing happened in the office where Dayke was.

The change took place elsewhere.

It happened in the room where Iril was sleeping.

A pure white light appeared before her as she drifted through her dream. The light grew brighter and stronger, enough to rouse Iril from her closed eyes.

"Umm… Vegetables…"

"Princess… Princess Iril."

At the unfamiliar voice, Iril frowned and lifted her body. When she forced her eyes open, she saw the shape of an elf bathed in pure white light.

"Wake up, Iril."

"Uh…?"

The princess was stunned by this unfamiliar experience. Yet somehow, she seemed to recognize who was calling her.

"Goddess…?"
