Chapter 237 - Chapter 237: Dead

"Get out of here!" Demiurge roared, his fists repeatedly swinging at the undead bodies wrapped around him.

These undead were different. They looked like ghosts, yet physical attacks were still effective. In two or three moves, Demiurge managed to shake off five or six of them, but more immediately ensnared his body. A dog-like undead opened its jaws wide and viciously bit his tail. No blood splattered or skin tore, but he felt his HP value continuously draining, as if being devoured by some unexplainable mechanism.

"Die, monster!!!" A deafening scream came from below.

Demiurge looked down and saw a sight that enraged him: Shanlie Celebre was taking advantage of the chaos to break through. The glittering sword in his hand was raised, ready to deliver a fatal blow to Aura, who was also trapped and immobile.

"Stop! Ah!" Demiurge was about to launch an attack to help Aura when a pillar of holy fire suddenly fell from the sky, engulfing his body and sending him crashing hard to the ground.

In the sky, Kael gave a dissatisfied grunt. [Super-Tier Magic: Undead World] had been unleashed, and the [Ultimate Magic Book] beside him was still open. Clearly, he was the one who had just attacked Demiurge.

However, instead of continuing his assault, Kael slowly closed his eyes. A golden fluorescence appeared on his body and spread with incredible speed, enveloping the entire battlefield. The next second, small magic circles appeared one by one at every corpse or body part lying on the ground.

Life and death reversed, a miracle created! The corpses were instantly enveloped in the same golden light, broken body parts mended in an instant, vitality was injected, and hearts and pulses began to beat again.

"Wow!"

"How is that possible!?"

The Church's soldiers who had died were collectively resurrected. It wasn't just one, a hundred, or a thousand, but tens of thousands of dead people suddenly stood up. The scene caused both gasps of awe and cries of fear.

The miracle belonged to the Church, while the fear belonged to the monsters from Nazarick.

"My most devout followers, raise your weapons and destroy these evil monsters!" Kael's voice spread across the entire battlefield.

After a moment of stunned silence, the Church's soldiers showed fanatical emotion.

"Kill!"

"The gods are watching over us! We will not die! Destroy these monsters!"

"For the great god of destiny!"

Amidst roars that thundered like ocean waves, the Church's soldiers charged forward fearlessly as if they had been injected with new life.

Soon, Shanlie Celebre managed to reach Aura and cut off her head. Unlike the other Tomb Guardians, Aura was still human. Although her vitality was extraordinary, her head remained her fatal weakness. With her head severed, her lifeless body slowly fell.

The death of Aura, the caster, stopped the continuous enhancement effect on the monster army. Nazarick was cornered once again.

"Damn it!!!"

On the tenth floor of Nazarick, Ainz watched the defeat of the monsters in the magic mirror. He clenched his fist and smashed it into the armrest of the throne.

Lost! We've completely lost!

Even if they used the monster lair to summon a new army of mercenaries, Nazarick was no match for the enemy's cheating resurrection ability. The problem was, the Church of Destiny's army was different from ordinary armies. Each of their soldiers leveled up as the battle progressed. They became stronger the more they fought, and could be resurrected infinitely. This was an army a hundred times more terrifying than demons!

Ainz took a deep breath, calmed himself, and then raised his guild weapon, the [Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown].

Resurrection!

The gold coins piled up in the hall turned into a liquid, gathered, and condensed into several figures in front of him: Aura and the other Guardians who had just fallen.

"Ainz-sama, we are very sorry," said Yuri Alpha, one of the Pleiades maids, covering herself with a black cloth.

Although Ainz was angry, he knew this failure was not the Guardians' fault. He wouldn't take his anger out on them. "Don't blame yourselves. The enemy is too strong. You will not be involved in the rest of the battle. I have another mission for you."

On the outer battlefield, Kael took the golden flying boat and sat leisurely on the throne, drinking wine.

Draudillon Oriculus sat on the armrest, holding a golden pitcher and occasionally refilling Kael's glass.

"This scene really makes me feel like the villain," Kael said with an amused smile.

Below, Demiurge, in his monstrous demon form, kept attacking them. However, he was always beaten back. Not by Kael, but by the majestic dragons summoned by Draudillon, who had the special class [Dragon Summoner].

As if it were a joke, every time Demiurge tried to fly, an LV85 red dragon would swing its claws, batting him down like a ball. The other dragons also spewed breaths of fire, water, and wind, suppressing Demiurge until he couldn't get up. After more than ten rounds of 'dragon suppression,' Demiurge was finally eliminated by the explosive dragon breath from the red dragon.

After the Guardian fell, only low-level NPCs and hired monsters remained. They no longer interested Kael.

Just as Kael was getting bored and looking for entertainment from Draudillon, a strange wave of energy appeared above the battlefield.

"What is that?" Kael raised his head in confusion.

The next second, several figures suddenly appeared. They were Lakyus, Albedo, and the others who were previously trapped in the [Map of Mountains, Rivers, and Countries]. Lakyus and her comrades were in better condition than Albedo, whose armor was damaged.

However, Kael's focus was not on them. A large scroll lost its owner and fell. Coincidentally, Kael was right below it.

Swoosh!

Kael raised his hand, catching the scroll that fell before him. His surprised expression turned to one of joy. "This is truly a gift from the gods," he whispered.
