Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 - Trusting the Instructions from the Little Star

In a dark corridor, Ace stepped into it with the freezing temperature that almost killed him.

The lantern he got from the beginning when Ace fell made the journey much easier for him who was now inside the dark corridor, and the light produced from the lantern he got was white with a slightly blue tint, and the shape of the lantern looked more modern rather than traditional.

It's very cold here but, luckily, the floor I'm stepping on is metal and not soil, but I wonder why this place is so clean, unlike the place where I first fell, just thinking about it feels so absurd.

Ace then glanced at the lantern he was holding with many questions in his head, "for some reason my feeling tells me that the lantern I found when I fell in the bunker seems to emit something valuable when I use it." After that Ace returned his gaze forward.

"I would rather have a flashlight so it would be easier, but I should be grateful with what I have right now."

"But, I don't understand the meaning of the little star from that old paper, even in that old paper it wasn't recorded who wrote it." Said Ace who was still walking down the dark path.

Because of that he also forgot, that he was walking through the corridor barefoot. Damn bro barefoot, isn't that freezing? Even weird people wouldn't last long because of the cold air in this closed room, especially since the room is fully metal, but it seems he doesn't care about it, not even bothered at all in his journey, truly a strange yet brave man.

After walking for a long time in the dark corridor, wide and slightly winding, finally he found a light from the end of this corridor.

Therefore he ran towards where the light was coming from and found that it turned out to be a door slightly open, he managed to get in front of the door, and then entered inside.

After entering he realized something, that the room he just stepped into turned out to be a grand modern hall, but still had its traditional nuances.

Ace hugged his own body because the room was so cold.

"Wait a second, is this an inner hall, damn all this journey feels like adventuring in a game using VR. Well, hopefully this journey won't be too hard," Joked Ace, because the hall was so cold he was shivering.

Meanwhile, on the other side someone was smiling seeing Ace's behavior, and almost burst into laughter because of Ace's rather quirky attitude.

Back to Ace, now he turned off his lantern because he was in a bright place, then glanced around the hall and saw, a large monitor screen hanging above the hall.

Yeah maybe this could help a little for now, but I'm kinda doubtful if that monitor really works properly.

Ace then walked toward the monitor, with an uneasy feeling.

For some reason my feeling says, that something will soon happen. But there's no time to think about it, because now I need information from this place.

When in front of the monitor, Ace then looked at the monitor screen, "hmm, I'm quite curious about this place, was there once a sign of life here," He said while holding his chin.

"But if that's true, maybe important information from this place is still stored here. Hopefully that's the case, because if not I'll be trapped here forever, damn just thinking about it already makes me panic." Murmured Ace, frightened.

Ace then glanced at a rather wide and long control panel under the monitor, apparently besides the keyboard there were so many buttons with variations, "truly, the controller is really so complete, damn what kind of genius made a tool this advanced. Were they advanced people, yeah judging from the technology used it should be like that, maybe!"

Ace then stared at the control carefully and luckily he found an empty slot to store an item, "wow, truly an innovation that is very helpful, not bad at all but okay." Ace then put his item in the place provided.

Then Ace also saw that there was a power button on the right side of the keyboard, where the button was red and blinking.

Of course, Ace immediately pressed it without hesitation.

Then the monitor began to react and loaded the system slowly, but fortunately it still functioned properly.

"Thank goodness, I'm lucky this tool still works fine, if not who knows what would happen to me next. I almost fainted if this thing didn't work, because it's been unused for so long," Relieved Ace with a sigh of relief.

After several minutes of waiting, now the monitor was fully on. The monitor screen showed the word (Welcome) and gave directions to press the ENTER button to begin.

Wow, just the display is already this modern, that's insane. Alright let's focus on the main thing first.

Ace then pressed the ENTER button and the screen displayed some information such as:

-Document ??? (Locked)

-Main Map

-Status up (Locked)

-Hack (Locked)

-New Ownership

"Just as I thought, nothing will be that easy if you can only turn it on. But what is this!"

After seeing the monitor screen, one of the information files caught Ace's curiosity, namely the NEW OWNERSHIP file.

Ace then tried to check the file, but the file instead showed a notification that he needed a new identity ID Card.

Damn you've got to be kidding, I'm like a stranger now. But I really am a stranger here, oh man why am I being so forgetful now.

Well, maybe it makes sense too because I've been moved several times to places without direction, besides that I was also thrown into a dark abyss by that bastard Casca. She called herself a Goddess, but her personality was only one-sided.

Ah whatever I just want to be free, why am I even thinking about someone who already threw me away, just adds more headache and anger.

After calming his mind, Ace then continued his main goal now, which was to search for information then get out safely. But Ace knew of course it wouldn't be easy for him now.

That's because the only option Ace had now was to check the map of this place. Ace then selected the map to see the place and find out his current position.

The monitor then showed the map and Ace's current location, where the map had three different paths but two of them were closed signal, and meanwhile only one could be entered which was, the employee changing room.

That place was on the left, more precisely to the left of the monitor there was a door leading there. And not many turns, but still one-way road.

But the other two doors could also be found, while on the map their distance was in front of the monitor.

"Well this isn't too bad, and I hope there's something useful there."

Ace then approached the door to the employee changing room and pressed the button to open it. Then entered without hesitation.

So far it felt smooth, because the corridor was full of glowing lights and yeah the place was also quite clean like still new.

Now Ace had arrived at his destination, then entered without anything blocking him.

Looking around the room, Ace found items and tools he could use for his needs right now. Where he also found a small paper on top of the attendance desk.

Ace took the paper from the desk and then looked at the contents of the paper.

• Employees are requested to wear lab coats that have been prepared before starting work.

• Use the special watch provided as the official employee identity.

• While wearing the lab coat no additional clothing like jackets are allowed, except if you only use a hoodie.

• Please maintain cleanliness before working, because the healthier you are, the better for all of us.

• Tools and other needs are already provided in each locker.

Have a good work and don't cause trouble :)

"Hemm, alright this is truly helpful for now. Yeah even though I don't know if this is a bunker or a secret lab, hah truly absurd,"

"But with this I don't have to suffer anymore right now, because this place is quite disciplined in preparation. Different from in-game but yeah slightly better." He said while putting the paper back.

Not long Ace found the employee locker room, he entered then found a locker that hadn't been used. Ace tried to break the locker, but unfortunately the locker wasn't locked at all, Ace immediately made a patient face after being tricked by fate.

I looked like such a fool earlier, instead of checking first I immediately tried to break it, damn.

After several minutes, finally he returned to the main hall. Where Ace was wearing a cool lab coat, even the watch was no less cool too, and most importantly he already found the thing he needed which was (New Identity ID Card).

Ace then returned to the control panel and saw the tool to confirm the ID Card, then placed it there. Finally Ace could access the data file easily now, even though not all of them were unlocked.

Here Ace then started accessing the new ownership file, and guess what the screen showed. Correct, are you willing to be the owner.

"What, only that, OI WHAT KIND OF TECHNOLOGY IS THIS, THE TECHNOLOGY IS ADVANCED, BUT THE SYSTEM MAKER ACTS LIKE A FOOL, AAAHAHHAAHHAKKAKKAKK." Suddenly furious, started tremoring uncontrollably.

Seriously this guy is hopeless.

On the other side, someone who was watching Ace's behavior starting to act like a trembling fool could only laugh out loud, because Ace wasn't taken seriously at all.

Ace then stopped the foolish act, and started to be serious again with his goal.

Ace then accepted it, then the system asked for a codename alias to be used as official identity. Where Ace gave his codename alias with the title (LITTLE STAR).

After that his ID Card extracted the file, and his body was scanned for new ownership identity. Yeah that's just an extra, who knows if there's someone worse than him.

After that the door on the right side appeared, Ace who saw it immediately headed toward the door in front of him, then when Ace opened it the contents inside were only a place to manage electricity. Yeah maybe there was a system that hadn't received electricity at all, or maybe cut off.

He then checked inside, and saw there was one plug that hadn't been connected. Where that plug was the key to access the middle door, because only the middle part didn't have any power, as a result it couldn't be accessed at all.

In short Ace had already restored the system as before, then returned to the main control. Now all the files could be accessed, but because there was no more time the system suggested to copy into his watch.

Ace could only accept it, because he knew he also had to leave this place soon. After completing everything necessary, Ace then continued his journey to head toward the middle door.

Before he left the system told him something, whether Ace believed that the little star would guide him to a safe place.

Ace who saw it only smiled and agreed, because he believed there was still hope for him to survive, even though his chance of survival was very small.

Ace then stood in front and commanded the door to open now, the system listened to his command and then opened the final door.

After the door was opened, the atmosphere became so tense because he was about to enter a large corridor full of darkness. And a cable car was already there.

Now something was also waiting for him from the shadows, Ace then steeled himself to be brave because this was the only way out he could get. With the supplies he had brought from the start now he was ready to begin by stepping inside.

In short Ace had boarded the cable car, but would all of this go smoothly as usual.

The system asked, [is the passenger ready to depart], Ace then agreed, then the cable car slowly began to move toward the next destination.

Ace then sat down with a restless feeling, while holding his rifle to be on guard.

For some reason, my feeling says that something will soon crash towards me. But I must not falter so easily, because I have many questions hanging in my head that must be answered, for a certainty.

Well will his journey go smoothly, I don't think so because from behind the shadows something big was already waiting for its moment, now aimed at Ace. Of course that wasn't a good sign either, but could Ace face this nightmare?

I'm not so sure.

End of chapter (believe in the little star).
