Chapter 65 - Bleach: Soul Society-Chapter 65: Barrier Collapse!

"Ding!"

As the notification sound echoed, Shigure Segawa immediately felt a warm current surge through his body.

Right after, the system provided an explanation:

"Barrier Collapse, based on the ability of Terminal Soul!"

"All spiritual particle-based barriers, as long as their density is lower than your spiritual pressure, can be instantly destroyed or completely ignored!"

Shigure's heart skipped a beat, and his face lit up with joy.

This trip to sign in really paid off!

This reward was yet another ability that could be considered game-breaking!

Barriers were one of the most widely applied techniques in the Soul Society.

However, this ability might not be of much use to an average captain. After all, their spiritual pressure density might not necessarily surpass barriers reinforced by Kido compression.

But Shigure was different.

From the very beginning, he possessed an absolutely overwhelming destructive spiritual pressure!

This spiritual pressure would only grow stronger as he released his Zanpakuto.

Under such circumstances, Shigure was confident that there were very few barriers whose density could surpass his own.

With this thought, Shigure's lips curled into a smile as he began to walk back.

Moments later, he returned to the entrance of the Third Level of the Black Corrosion Hell.

This time, however, he didn't even take out the Swastika Seal, walking straight ahead instead.

The Swastika Seal was used to unlock the "shackles," which existed solely to reinforce the sealing barrier.

But now… Shigure had Barrier Collapse!

The spiritual particle density of this barrier was far inferior to Shigure's destructive spiritual pressure. According to the system, he should be able to completely ignore it.

With a mindset of experimentation, Shigure took a step forward. A black vortex appeared instantly.

In the next moment, he stepped directly into the Black Corrosion Corridor!

At this moment, Shigure's face was already filled with satisfaction.

He increasingly felt that this time, he had hit the jackpot.

Removing the hood from his head, Shigure adjusted the Spiritual Concealment Cloak to turn transparent.

Thus, his figure appeared in a corner of the prison.

Nearby, Sugisawa was meditating with his eyes closed when he suddenly sensed Shigure's spiritual pressure and was startled.

He hadn't noticed any signs of the Black Corrosion Seal being opened a second time!

Shigure used Shunpo to quickly appear in front of Sugisawa, smiling as he said:

"Mr. Sugi, I'm back."

As he spoke, he raised his hand and tossed the Swastika Seal over.

Sugisawa instinctively caught the wooden seal, but his gaze was filled with shock.

"How… did you get in?"

Shigure chuckled lightly, turned around, and said softly:

"This is the reason I wanted to go to the Fifth Level, Mr. Sugi."

Watching Shigure's leisurely departing figure, Sugisawa was utterly stunned.

The next morning, in Seireitei.

Today marked the seventh day since Shigure Segawa had been sent to guard the Black Corrosion Hell.

According to the declaration made seven days ago, as long as he passed the trial, he would leave the Black Corrosion Hell and rejoin his division.

At this moment, many people were eagerly waiting for the announcement of the results.

Just then, spiritual pressure surged, and Tenteikura activated.

A somewhat aged but robust voice resounded:

"To all noble members, captains, vice-captains, and Gotei 13 members who hear this message: This is Chōjirō Sasakibe, Vice-Captain of the First Division, announcing the verdict issued seven days ago.

Seven days ago, former Vice-Captain of the Fifth Division, Shigure Segawa, was sent to guard the Black Corrosion Hell due to deserting his post, which led to a tragedy. He was suspected of disloyalty to Seireitei.

Today, the seven-day period has ended.

Shigure Segawa adhered to the rules of the Black Corrosion Hell, demonstrating his loyalty to Seireitei!

Today, he is reinstated as a member of the Gotei 13!"

With that, the Tenteikura transmission ended.

In the Eighth Division barracks, Shunsui Kyōraku looked lazily at Jūshirō Ukitake, who sat opposite him.

"Well, Ukitake, so this is why you suddenly came to my place today…"

Shunsui's eyes were half-lidded with idleness as he yawned.

Due to Ukitake's poor health, he rarely visited places, which initially puzzled Shunsui.

Ukitake chuckled softly, "Today, Shigure is rejoining the Gotei 13. I plan to go and see him. Since your place is nearby, I thought I'd stop by to rest."

Shunsui laughed, "Ah, you're still the same as ever, Ukitake…"

Jūshirō Ukitake smiled as he stood up. "Since it's almost time for the reunion, I'll head over now."

With that, he turned and walked out.

The Eighth Division barracks were close to the First Division's, so he would arrive shortly.

When Chōjirō Sasakibe saw Ukitake's figure, he was slightly surprised.

"Captain Ukitake, are you also here to receive Shigure?"

Ukitake was about to reply but immediately noticed something odd about his phrasing.

Why did he say "also"?

Could it be that someone else had arrived?

Just as this question arose in his mind, a figure dressed in a white captain's haori appeared.

Ukitake looked up, slightly stunned, before smiling in surprise. "Captain Aizen, so you're here too?"

The newcomer was none other than Sōsuke Aizen.

With a gentle smile, Aizen said, "Captain Ukitake, I must admit, I'm surprised as well. I didn't expect us to have the same thought."

"Heh, I've just been too idle in my barracks these past few days…" Ukitake replied with a laugh.

Aizen, wearing a slightly apologetic expression, said, "Although Shigure is no longer my vice-captain, since the incident occurred under my watch, I would feel guilty if I didn't come to see him."

Ukitake smiled, "You're still as considerate as ever, Captain Aizen."

Chōjirō Sasakibe interjected, "Since both captains will accompany me, let's depart now—it's time."

With that, Sasakibe walked ahead.

Ukitake and Aizen exchanged polite nods before walking side by side.

However, Ukitake failed to notice the subtle glint of a peculiar smile in Aizen's eyes, hidden behind his glasses.
