Justin swallowed.

The room went silent.
Joseph continued:

The kids' eyes widened.
Joseph explained calmly, like it was simple math.
Joseph:

the entire place smelled of blood.
Everyone inside was trembling.

Emily gulped.
Emily:

Joseph nodded.
Joseph:
"Yes.
Mrs. William walked in behind us.
She had a tiny blood stain near her ear.
She didn't notice itā¦
but Amber did." š

Lussy:

"Amber didn't say a word.
She just walked deeper into the house.

He paused, choosing his words carefully.
Joseph:
"Rachelā¦ wasn't alive anymore.
And the culprit was right there with her."
The children inhaled sharply.
Thomas covered his mouth.
Thomas:
"So Amber sisā¦ knew Nattalie wouldn't be harmed because she was pregnantā¦?" š¶
Joseph nodded again.
Joseph:
"Exactly.
She knew the Scott family wouldn't risk hurting Nattalie.
So Amber took the decision herself."
He exhaled slowly.
"She ended everyone involved.
Every. Single. One." š
Emily stared in awe.
Emily:

Justin sat speechless.
Justin:

Meanwhile Eric, whose hand was still on Justin's chest under the blanket, stiffened.
Eric (thinking):

Thomas leaned forward.
