[Purification!]
[You have received 10 Karma!]
It has been an hour since Noah had been using [Purification on the well for more than an hour now. And even though it was better in the beginning, by the end the amount of Karma he received was pretty miniscule.
Obviously, with minimal contamination, it would be rare for people to get sick after drinking this. And based on the system's messaged, Noah might have purified more than 95% of the water within the first few minutes, and 99% by the end of 5 minutes or so.
So the reason why he was still doing it? It was obviously..
[You have received 10 Karma!]
[You have received 10 Karma!]
[You have received 10 Karma!]
[You have received 10 Karma!]
Because it was still giving Karma everytime Noah used the spell, which made him feel like it was a cheat to get as much Karma as he could right now.
Though fortunately or unfortunately…
[You have completely purified the entire waterbody on the west side!]
[The purified water now has some holy attributes that would heal the drinker!]
[You have attained a huge feat without asking for anything in return!]
[You have gained +10,000 Karma!]
Both Noah and Elios raised their eyes as they looked at the amount of Karma they have achieved right now. But based on what they have earned in the last hour, getting 5 to10 Karma per second, this is only about 25% of what they have earned before.
[Total Karma: 48,560]
Still it was a lot.
[Taking this task was totally worth it!](Elios)
Elios was excited that he can now put a lot more of his experiments in practice, while Noah smiled as he looked at purified water before drinking a bit, tasting it.
'It's a bit sweet.'(Noah)
He smiled before looking up, and then with slight force, he jumped up the wall, climbing it swiftly until he reached the top. He couldn't wait to give the good news to the kids.
Though getting out of the well, he saw the streets empty as the kids were not there. The surrounding people looked at Noah's direction with a slight surprise before murmuring something.
His smile faded as a serious expression appeared on his face. He looked at the one that seemed to be most suspicious, before moving to a ruffian looking beggar sitting on the ground. And then walking towards him, he observed his ugly smile for a few seconds before taking out a piece of bread from his bracelet.
[You have used 50 Karma!]
It wasn't a simple bread, but something that had been tendered to perfect condition in both smell and taste. It was hot and freshly prepared. Even the beggar gulped as he looked at that bread in Noah's hand.
Creating even a silver coin would take 1,000 Karma which wasn't a lot to Noah right now, but looking at the condition of that beggar, using Gluttony was better than greed.
"Seen any kids? 4-5 of them, lead by an orange haired."(Noah)
"I don't-"
Noah threw 1/3rd of the bread to the beggar, as he immediately grabbed it before eating it like a dog. He chewed it in one go before gulping it all in.
"Cough cough."
The beggar started choking on that bread before Noah created a bottle of water giving it to that beggar to drink. And once he was done, Noah waited for him to speak with the other portion of the bread in his hand.
"Kids? The ruffinas took them."(The beggar)
"Ruffians?"(Noah)
Noah threw that bread piece to the beggar before creating another one in his hand.
"See that watchtower there? Ask their men. They will surely tell you everything."(The beggar)
An ugly smile was painted on that beggar's face even now, which made Noah sigh as he gave that piece of bread to the beggar along with an extra one.
[You have done a selfless deed! +10 Karma!]
"Keke! Since you are quite generous, let me tell you something more. Consider the children dead. It's too late to save them. Especially for such a frail boy as yourself."(The Beggar)
Noah simply shook his head before moving towards the watchtower one step at a time. And then before he reached halfway.

His presence was erased completely from the eyes of the onlooker. They didn't know what happened but they couldn't notice him anymore… and a few seconds later, they even forgot about him before continuing their own work.
Noah ran through the crowd, before reaching the watchtower. Analyzing the surrounding buildings, he found a man carrying an unconscious child on his back, and then following him, he then reached a junkyard area by the slums where about a dozen kids were lying unconscious there.
There were two men who kept a watch on the kids, which made Noah wonder how he should proceed next. His aim was to help the kids without getting noticed but then someone stopped him…
[Noah.](Elios)
It was Elios.
Noah paused for a few seconds wondering what Elios was going to say.
[I am going to follow your words, whatever you say, we will do it. Not because I have no choice, but I am not someone capable of making the choice even if I were in your shoes right now. But, at the least, I want you to know the complete situation, okay?](Elios)
Noah's eyes narrowed at that message. He saw the hesitation in Elios's words which wasn't present even when they were killing all those dark mages at the beginning.
And then… Elios began telling him the consequences and cruelty of this world… something that he didn't think was possible…
