At that moment, the Third Kazekage's head was buzzing.
No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't understand why the iron sand he had been controlling suddenly slipped from his grasp and became Shin's plaything. Nor could he understand why, after being touched by Shin, his whole body completely lost control, even his chakra could no longer be sensed.
Right now, he desperately wished he had simply fallen under a genjutsu, but everything before his eyes was happening so vividly that he couldn't accept it.
Was the gap between people really this vast?
Or was it that the legendary Sage's Eyes were simply beyond what human power could contend with?
"So this is the Magnet Release? Not bad."
Completely ignoring the Third Kazekage's thoughts, Shin kept altering the shapes of the gold sand and iron sand swirling in the air, along with the desert sand rising from the ground under his control, giving a satisfied evaluation.
Every pair of Rinnegan not only possessed the basic abilities, those mastered by Nagato, but would also evolve special abilities.
Madara's Rinnegan's special abilities were Limbo: Border Jail and Tengai Shinsei.
How to put it?
They were fairly standard abilities. While they certainly gave Madara a considerable boost in combat power, they weren't especially dazzling.
Shin's Rinnegan, however, possessed three special abilities.
The first was Infinite Amplification.
As long as he consumed the Rinnegan's ocular power, he could boost any jutsu's power almost without limit, the degree of amplification depending entirely on how much ocular power he spent.
This was an extremely terrifying ability.
The same jutsu, when cast by him, could be made a hundred times or even a thousand times more powerful.
This amplification also extended to his Mangekyō Sharingan abilities, upgrading his left eye's "Analysis" into "Creation."
Analysis was the ability to perfectly replicate what he saw into an analysis space and repeatedly deconstruct it.
This allowed him to easily discern every secret and the very essence of a person or object.
However, before he had Infinite Amplification, such analysis still took quite a bit of time.
Creation, on the other hand, allowed him to reconstruct anything he had analyzed, and as long as he willed it, it could be done instantly.
In other words, he could now instantly deconstruct anything he saw, and then, after analysis, instantly reconstruct it.
If it was an object, as long as he had the raw materials, he could now use his left eye to create it seemingly from nothing.
Not only could he perfectly replicate what he saw, he could also correct any flaws in it, making it even more perfect.
Applied to ninjutsu, it meant that with just one glance, he could instantly and perfectly master any jutsu he saw.
This mastery was on a level far beyond the Sharingan's simple copying ability.
Copying was really just imitation.
And imitation had limitations, it could only copy ninjutsu that matched the user's chakra nature.
Otherwise, Kakashi and the Uchiha clan would have been invincible long ago.
But Shin grasped the fundamental principles of ninjutsu itself, and the reconstruction process was essentially creation anew, his recreated ninjutsu would be even stronger than the original.
Plus, the Rinnegan already granted mastery over all chakra natures and their transformations.
This allowed Shin to recreate ninjutsu that included kekkei genkai, kekkei tota, and even kekkei mora.
So far, there had not been a single jutsu that Shin could not recreate.
That the Rinnegan possessed both creation and destruction powers was, for most people, a metaphor. For him, it was simply a factual description of reality.
"What exactly do you want? And what did you do to me?" The Third Kazekage, seeing Shin silent for so long, grew anxious.
Shin finally broke out of his research state, casually tossed the Third Kazekage back to his original position, and hovered high above, looking down.
Scary, Third Kazekage grumbled inwardly, but he didn't say another word. Because he was truly afraid now.
The man before him was far too terrifying. And through his actions, he had made one thing very clear: If I really wanted to do something to Suna, you wouldn't be able to stop me.
"I invited you to Konoha merely because I value your Magnet Release for mining, and so I proposed a cooperation of that nature. It has nothing to do with other matters," Shin continued.
"If you agree, I can bring out all of your relatives and friends, as well as your disciple's."
"To protect her own reputation, Pakura, being newly in power, won't yet go after your friends and family. But tell me, how long do you think she'll hold back?"
"And I advise you to cherish this opportunity, because I've already figured out your Magnet Release. Once someone in Konoha masters it, you'll have no value to us at all."
"By then, who knows? I might really drag you two back to Suna and see if I can trade you to Pakura for something useful!"
The Third Kazekage had no rebuttal, though his thoughts kept flashing rapidly.
After a long pause, he finally said, "If I agree to your terms, can Konoha continue trading with Suna and maintain peace with us?"
"I really didn't expect that even now, you'd still be thinking of Suna's interests. But that last question of yours, I don't like it one bit. Whether it was the First Great Ninja War or the Second, Suna were the ones to strike first, weren't you?"
"And now you make it sound as if Konoha has been causing you trouble? Just because you lost the wars, you expect sympathy?"
"Damn it, talking about this gets me riled up. Every time you lose, you provoke us again. Tell me, are you people masochists or what?"
"So, about continuing trade, fine, I can agree to that. But as for not initiating war, that will depend on Suna's future policies."
"Konoha's principle is not to cause trouble without reason. But if anyone tries to spit in our face, they'd better be ready for their village to be wiped out."
"And when that time comes, I'll personally see to it that Suna is erased from the map, it's not impossible."
The Third Kazekage was once again struck speechless, and he truly didn't push Shin.
Not just because this man really had the power to do it, but also because everything he said was true.
The First Great Ninja War began after Hashirama's death, when the great ninja villages saw an opportunity to jointly weaken Konoha and reshape the balance of the ninja world.
Simply put, none of the villages wanted to acknowledge Konoha's position as the leader anymore, they all wanted to be on top themselves.
But Tobirama single-handedly held them all off. Years of fighting passed, and Konoha never truly suffered.
If it hadn't been for a web of schemes, where several villages, just before peace talks, successfully laced Tobirama's food with a special poison excavated from ancient ruins, combined with the sudden attack by the Gold and Silver Brothers, striking while Tobirama's chakra was in chaos, preventing him from using the Flying Thunder God Technique, and his unfamiliarity with the Six Paths Tools leading to him being struck, being simultaneously assaulted by both open and hidden enemies, and finally succumbing to his wounds, without that, the Four Great Villages would never have seen the rapid development they enjoyed over the next decade.
As for the Second Great Ninja War? Better left unsaid.
Hadn't even Hanzō been strutting arrogantly when speaking with him?
If the other villages hadn't worked together to suppress Ame and keep them from rising, Suna might already have been erased from the Five Great Villages entirely.
