"Hah… that man is really annoying," Elina muttered, letting out a long sigh.
Rafine brought over a glass of water and handed it to her.
Elina took it and drank it in one gulp. As the cool liquid washed down her throat, she felt a bit better and managed a small smile.
"Thank you."
Rafine nodded. "So, who is he exactly? Does he have a problem with you?"
Earlier, she hadn't been able to hear the conversation because she had been busy finishing her work in her room.
Elina shook her head. "He's Gareth Redwyre, the leader of Torosvia, a town about ten kilometers from Virella. He came asking for my help with a water crisis in his town. But I couldn't assist him. Virella is still developing, and I don't want to risk slowing its progress by helping him."
Her face looked cold and indifferent. In truth, Elina wasn't a cruel person.
