Chapter 3 - 3 The Red-Cheeked Girl

...Five days later, Professor Klars led Bachwick to the room he had arranged for him. Along the way, they passed by many students. Everyone was curious and surprised to see Professor Klars and Bachwick walking together. The students greeted Professor Klars

"Good morning, Professor."

...Professor Klars waved and smiled a little before walking away. Bachwick followed Professor Klars to his room and opened the door.

"This is your room. It's a bit old, but it's next to the park" Klars said.

Bachwick: "Okay!"

Klars adjusted his glasses: "If you need anything, let me know. See you later."

*Klars leaves the room*

Bachwick sat in the room for several hours. After that, he sat on the balcony.

"I've been at this school for 10 days already."

"I still can't figure out my future." As for Lonner, "

Bachwick: "Can you give me a tour of this school?

You're an alumnus."

Lonner: "Sorry, I have to go to work."

Bachwick, shocked: "Working!" You?

Lonner: "I forgot to tell you! I'm a member of a support organization."

Bachwick, shocked, as if he couldn't believe the person in front of him was one of the organization members: "Huh?"

Bachwick: "You didn't tell me from the beginning."

I thought you were a kid who got bullied by a gang."

...Lonner smiled slightly, a smile laced with annoyance. "When I got stuck in the big tree, I accidentally used my powers."

Lonner sighed: "I'm afraid of heights too!"

(How pathetic.)

Bachwick: "Would anyone like to give me a tour of the campus?"

Lonner: "I don't have any friends except you.

I'm sorry! I have to hurry. See you later."

... Later, Bakvic sat by the window of his room. The nighttime atmosphere was so peaceful. The lights from the building and the moonlight reflected on the pool. A gentle breeze blew by the window. Bakvic looked at the moon.

"The night sky here is more beautiful than I thought." Even though it's not far from my old house."

Bachwick took a sip of hot tea.

"Honestly, I'm quite happy here, not bothering anyone."

Bachwick glanced at the building across from him. What were they doing down there? *

A group of women were arguing in the distance.

"You should go away,"

The girl who had been bullied fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

They were all harshly insulting her.

"You know what you broke was property from a senior."

One said, "Get out of our group."

The other said, "Don't let me see you again."

...After that, the girl walked out slowly, sadly. Bachwick, who could see from afar, saw the incident but wasn't surprised. He sighed.

"Girls fighting? It's a common sight everywhere."

...Bachwick went for a walk by the university's pool. He was bored and saw the girl sitting by the pool, singing in the distance. Bachwick saw her and walked over to her, sitting at a distance. As she finished singing, Bachwig said his first words to her:

"You sing beautifully."

She was startled and turned, her cheeks flushed. She paused.

"Thank you."

Bachwig approached her.

"I come here every day. I thought I was the only one sitting here."

She clasped her hands together in front of her waist and said,

"I come here every day, too."

Bachwig looked at the pool, which was beautiful under the moonlight. "I came to sit by the pool."

Bachwig looked at her. Bachwig was a little startled, because she was a very beautiful, well-behaved woman.

"I saw you, and I was a little startled."

She tilted her head slightly, her expression showing her curiosity.

"But I've never seen you before."

Bachwig sat down on the floor and looked at the pool.

"My name is Bachwig. I'm a new student. I just moved in 10 days ago."

She was so shocked that her cheeks flushed.

"Mr. Bachwig, huh?!"

Bacvic himself was surprised that she looked as shocked as if she were excited.

"Everyone's talking about you."

She smiled so gently that Bachwig felt a strange, almost magical enchantment.

"My name is Racquelna. Nice to meet you."

Bachwig: Nice to meet you.

Bachwig's mood suddenly changed, as if he was surprised that someone was talking about him.

"Everyone's talking about me!

I didn't realize."

...Racquelna acted excited, happy, and cute.

"Sir Konji walked up to you. Everyone was shocked."

Bachwig was slightly startled.

"Sir? Why do you call your senior 'Sir'?" *

Racquelna explained to Bachwig as an alumnus.

"Sir Konji is highly respected by many. His fighting experience, his strength, his love for his subordinates, and even his work, he helps the less fortunate."

Bachwig: "Wow!"

Racquelna: "He's such an influential figure that he founded this group." "Explore the Forbidden Ancient Site."

Bachwick: "He's an amazing guy."

The two talked for hours. In the night, Bachwick told Rachel.

Bachwick: "I've been in school for 10 days. I only have one friend."

Rachenberg, puzzled, stared at Bachwick without looking away.

Bachwick said seriously.

"Would you be my second friend?

It's up to you."

Rachel was shocked when Bachwick said that.

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

She blushed. Bachwick saw her reaction. Jaqwick was shocked and embarrassed.

"I'm sorry for saying that."

Rachel quickly interrupted.

"It's not strange!"

Rachel said. A sweet voice and a gentle smile.

"I'd like to be your friend too."

Bacvic: Please take care of me, Miss Raquelna.

Racvic: "Yes."

As Raquelna talked, Bacvic listened to her and said to herself,

"A pretty girl like you, why do you have so many bad friends? If she had gone to a normal school, she'd be a star. The reason she doesn't have good friends might be because she doesn't trust anyone."

The two of them parted ways. Raquelna said before leaving, smiling gently.

"Thank you for being my friend."

Bacvic smiled slightly. He waved goodbye to her after walking away.

His hands were in the pockets of his jacket, his gaze lowered as he walked, oblivious to the darkness around him. The moonlight shone through him.

Stay tuned for the next episode. ...
