Chapter 116: The King's Return, the Dragon's Fury
Two figures appeared in the sky above the Tiandou Imperial Capital.
Qin Chuan's eyes were as sharp as blades. Stepping through the void, he walked toward the grand hall of the imperial court, every step echoing authority.
When he saw the two figures groveling on the ground below, a trace of disdain curled at the corner of his lips.
"This is just a lesson."
His voice was cold and merciless. With a flick of his finger, the oppressive force vanished. Gu Yuena and Di Tian gasped for air as if relieved of a tremendous weight.
"Lord Human King… I beg you… to form an alliance with us. We swear eternal loyalty, even unto death…"
Gu Yuena's voice trembled with pain. She dared not even lift her head for fear of enraging him further.
"Get out."
Qin Chuan's command was cold, unforgiving.
The word struck them like thunder. The humiliation was immense. Once, Di Tian had followed the Dragon God into battle, looking down on all creation. Now he bowed before a human, his pride shattered.
But just as he was about to explode with indignation, Qin Chuan spoke again:
"I will not attack the soul beast clan. You may rest easy on that."
Relief washed over Gu Yuena and Di Tian like a wave.
"Thank you… thank you for your mercy, Lord Human King…"
Di Tian forced a flattery-filled smile.
"But if any of you dares to step outside the Star Dou Great Forest… don't blame me for turning against you."
His voice was calm, yet each word crashed like a divine hammer. Gu Yuena's heart trembled.
"We wouldn't dare… we truly wouldn't dare…"
Gu Yuena's legs gave out, and she nearly collapsed.
Qin Chuan's aura was simply overwhelming.
"Get out."
With his cold shout, Gu Yuena and Di Tian staggered to their feet and fled as if granted a royal pardon.
Once the two vanished, Qin Chuan turned and looked tenderly at Qian Renxue.
"So many days, and you finally came to see me…"
Qian Renxue pouted, looking at him with gentle reproach.
"You haven't visited in so long. I've lost weight, haven't I?"
He chuckled, pulling her into his embrace.
"You have… but only a little."
Blushing, Qian Renxue lowered her head, whispering shyly,
"How could I have lost weight…"
"You're perfect just the way you are."
Qin Chuan stroked her hair tenderly.
"Ahem—"
An awkward cough interrupted the tender moment.
Qian Daoliu walked in with a knowing smile. Startled, Qian Renxue jumped back like a startled kitten.
"Grandpa…"
She buried her face deeper in embarrassment.
"Xue'er, you really have lost weight,"
Qian Daoliu teased.
"Hmph! Men are no good!"
Qian Renxue pouted and huffed.
Qin Chuan and Qian Daoliu exchanged a laugh.
"Grandpa, what brings you here?"
Qian Renxue quickly tried to change the subject.
Qian Daoliu straightened and sighed.
"Just now, there was a great upheaval in Spirit City. Tang San has acquired the Asura God's inheritance and launched a sudden assault. Spirit Hall suffered heavy losses. If not for Xiao Chuan, we'd all be dead by now."
Qian Renxue's eyes widened in disbelief.
Before she could speak, Qian Daoliu raised a hand to stop her.
"Say no more, Xue'er. From now on, no matter what you choose to do, I'll support you."
Then he turned to Qin Chuan and Qian Renxue, eyes filled with warmth.
"Seeing you two together, I can finally rest easy."
Qian Renxue's cheeks flushed with joy.
"Alright, you two talk. Grandpa's old… I'll go rest."
"Wait for me—let's have dinner together later!"
Qian Renxue called out softly.
Qian Daoliu gave a final wave and retreated.
Qian Renxue turned to Qin Chuan with glistening eyes, her face filled with tenderness.
Qin Chuan simply smiled and pulled her close, letting her lean against his chest in a rare moment of peace.
"Do you blame me… for not protecting Tang San's body properly?"
Her voice was soft, filled with unease.
"It's alright."
Qin Chuan held her tighter and spoke gently.
Three Days Later – Outside Tiandou City
Warhorses neighed. Thousands of cavalry surged across the plains like an iron tide. Spears rose like a forest, their cold gleam biting through the wind.
The formation stretched for miles—a massive iron dragon sweeping across the land.
At the front rode Ge Long, clad in silver armor, astride a red-maned steed. A long spear rested in his grasp, and his sharp eyes scanned the horizon.
The Tiandou battle flag flapped proudly under a bitter wind.
Ge Long's heart surged with emotion.
Just the night before, Qian Renxue had summoned him for a secret meeting. She gave him one command—unify the continent.
He had also learned that the Wuhun Empire had fallen.
Now, he was to wipe out the remnants of both the Xingluo Empire and Spirit Hall.
Surrender… or die.
But Qian Renxue gave one exception:
Do not enter Spirit City.
That was the final dignity left for Bibi Dong.
After this war, the entire continent would belong to the Tiandou Empire.
Meanwhile – Star Dou Great Forest
"ROAR!!!"
A deafening roar shattered the skies. The forest trembled. Birds fled, and the earth cracked as if Judgment Day had come.
"BOOM!!!"
A massive collision echoed, toppling ancient trees. Dust clouds rose to the heavens.
The Black Dragon King, Di Tian, crashed heavily to the ground, his massive body sinking into the earth. Blood spewed from his mouth.
His eyes burned with rage and despair.
"CURSE YOU, HUMAN!!!"
His roars were filled with unending fury. Towering in the air above, Tang San grinned wickedly, gripping the Asura Demon Sword.
"Hand over Xiao Wu!"
Di Tian's voice cracked with desperation, madness in his eyes.
Tang San had come to the forest after fleeing Spirit City. When he sensed Xiao Wu's presence, he went berserk, convinced she was being held captive. He slaughtered indiscriminately until Gu Yuena and Di Tian intervened.
But even with both of them attacking, they couldn't stop him.
The Tang San standing before them now was no longer human—he was a god.
"If I don't give her to you, then what?"
Tang San sneered.
"Then… you DIE!"
Di Tian roared.
But Tang San simply slashed down with his sword.
