Sanji was well and truly cocooned in the deep, welcoming bliss of his much-needed sleep, when he suddenly felt his dark, voiceless world begin to vibrate slightly.
It vibrated again, this time with a faint, tinny sound accompanying it.
It was a sound that was distant, yet also faintly, unpleasantly familiar.
His sleep-clogged brain tried to recognize this sound, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
The vibration came again, and then again, with that same insistent sound right behind it.
My phone's ringing! - suddenly, the realization tore through the fog of his sleep.
His eyes shot wide open as he clumsily reached into the pocket of his trousers, right where he laid on the bed.
'Damn... I really hope it's not Pa... I hope everything is all right,' his mind couldn't help but regurgitate that same worried thought over and over, as his clumsy fingers finally managed to flip his phone open.
He received the call, and then immediately put the screen up to his ear.
"Pa...??"
