"Sylvia!"
"Run! You still can't control your power!"
"But…"
"Don't worry about me. Remember the plan. I'll protect them all!"
I ran out of the classroom and down the hallway, gasping for breath.
"I've been waiting for this moment, Jeanne. Let's finish it now!"
"Huh, you're still as ugly as ever."
"Tch! Die!!!"
BOOM! BOOM!
The explosions echoed through the halls. I reached the exit and swung the door open—only to find the sky covered in black clouds.
"What the hell is this!?"
CRACK!
Up above, Sylvia and Elizabeth were clashing violently. I ran away from them. Sylvia had warned me that I was the real target—because I carried the first soul. I didn't fully understand it, but she told me to run.
"Ohh, there you are, little rabbit..."
Elizabeth leapt from the school roof and came straight at me.
"Come to me, Adam!!!"
"Shit—"
She lunged with a trident. I froze. She now stood right in front of me.
"Don't get near him!"
Sylvia swung her giant sword, engaging Elizabeth again. Her strikes were magnificent. I couldn't believe she could wield such a massive blade with such grace. Elizabeth countered everything with chains, spiked iron balls, and her trident.
"How many weapons does she even have!?"
I ducked back into the building, sneaking into another classroom and hiding behind a desk.
"Damn it, I feel so useless!"
BANG!
They're really going to destroy the whole school! I tried to wake my classmates, but they were like they were in a coma. From the classroom window, I saw Sylvia fall to her knees, barely able to hold her sword. Elizabeth stabbed her with a long iron needle. Her face was turning blue.
"Is that... poison?"
"Oh Jeanne, how pathetic. This is your end. Give me your soul, and I'll let you live."
"Don't count on it, idiot!"
"Tch. So stubborn. Fine, then die!"
Just as she was about to finish me off, a bright light burst from Andri's destroyed classroom and landed between us.
"Could it be..."
"Adam!!!"
Elizabeth attacked the light with a massive axe. Smoke exploded from the impact.
"Andri!!" I shouted.
"Yes!?" A voice came from behind. It was Andri—or Adam now. He stood behind me, smiling gently, and held out his hand.
"Are you alright, miss?"
"I couldn't sit still anymore. Sorry I ruined your plan. Let me fight with you now."
"But—"
He gently stroked my head.
"We're partners, aren't we? I can't just stand by while someone important to me gets hurt."
Was this really Andri? Well, Elizabeth had changed too. We stood side by side. My sword flew back to me, and Adam prepared himself with a confident smile.
"You damn brats!"
"Do you realize what you're doing!?"
"Yes," I replied. "We'll return all these sacred souls to where they belong—including yours!"
"You dare reject me, Adam!? How could you choose that boy as your throne!"
"What are you talking about?"
I didn't care. Adam and I would fight, and we would return the Servants to their origin.
"So now you team up? Fine. I'll take both your souls!"
Elizabeth charged. Adam dodged swiftly. I slashed my sword, but chains blocked the strike.
"Damn!"
A chained knife flew at me. I deflected it but was pushed back.
"Adam, distract her!"
"Got it!"
Adam kicked her hard—several hits landed. But now she looked furious.
"How are you dodging everything!?"
"What even are you!?"
She launched more weapons, but Adam avoided all of them easily. I was in awe.
"Adam!"
While she focused on him, I disappeared from view and leapt from above. As they faced off, I struck from the sky. She dodged partially but was still wounded. Blood poured from her arm and side.
"You've forced me to do this!"
A black shadow covered the sky. From Elizabeth's body emerged hundreds of torture tools.
That was her true power—wielding the instruments of torment from her dark past.
"This is the end of our battle. Welcome... to true hell!"
