Chapter 15 - The Master’s Legacy

As everyone's eyes turned toward her, Revati began to speak in a soft voice.

"One month ago, when Ravi injured my son Veer, a healer came to meet him. He didn't reveal anything about his identity, but after examining Veer, he expressed a desire to take him on as a disciple. He said Veer had the potential to become a great healer. He was willing to teach him everything, but on one condition — that Veer would become his student. Once Veer accepted him as his master, he taught him how to make a divine elixir that rapidly enhances physical cultivation. This elixir increases energy growth far more quickly than that of other physical-level warriors. At first, I didn't believe it either, but once Veer used that divine elixir, his body began to undergo special changes. And everything that followed — you all witnessed it."

'A divine elixir that could drastically increase the energy of physical-level warriors…'

After hearing Revati's words, all the elders fell silent. Even Aman had nothing more to say. The room remained completely quiet for a while.

"Enough, Revati! What kind of nonsense is this? Do you think we're all fools? I know very well this is just a ploy to save your son. What healer? What divine elixir? Is creating such an elixir even possible? Let's say, for a moment, that everything you said is true — then how come none of us have ever heard of such a divine elixir before?"

Aman snapped in a harsh tone.

"Senior, you are a ninth-level healer. Please, take a look at this recipe. This is the formulation for the divine elixir that Veer received from his master. It may not be fully clear, but I believe you will understand it well enough."

Revati handed a slip of paper to the senior elder, ignoring Aman as usual. She knew that without evidence, she couldn't prove anything.

Hearing her words, Senior Amar Singh unfolded the paper and began to read.

"Remarkable… Remarkable… I never imagined combining these six herbs could produce a divine elixir that helps physical-level warriors quickly enter the Core Circle Realm. Moreover, it's easy to make. What's even more surprising is that the six herbs used are all very common and easily available. This means anyone among you can use this elixir for your children. I'm fully convinced that it's this elixir that allowed Veer to advance from the first to the third level of the physical realm."

Amar Singh said, holding up the paper for everyone to see.

His eyes shone with excitement as he studied the formula repeatedly with great interest.

Hearing him, the other elders of the Mishra family began eyeing the formula greedily. Initially, none of them believed Revati. But now that Amar Singh had validated it, all their doubts had vanished.

They were thrilled. This divine elixir could change the future of their children. With its power, the Mishra family could soon become the most powerful clan in all of Saanchi.

"Clan Leader,"

Amar Singh said seriously, looking at Vardhan Singh.

Vardhan Singh understood Amar Singh's hint. He knew such a golden opportunity wouldn't come again.

Taking a deep breath, he asked Revati:

"Revati, I want to know — as you said, this elixir was taught to Veer by his master. So can Veer make it himself?"

"Absolutely. For the past month, Veer has been the one making this elixir."

Revati nodded in agreement.

Once again, the room fell silent.

All the elders had children. If they could be given this elixir, it wouldn't be long before the Mishra family became the strongest in Saanchi.

"Revati, since your son has such a precious recipe, he should share it with the entire family. That way, the whole family will benefit. What do the rest of you think?"

Aman asked, looking around.

"Yes, I agree with Aman. Such a valuable elixir should be given to every member of the family who is in the physical realm,"

Ashutosh supported Aman's view.

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Before Revati could respond, laughter echoed from outside the room.

"Clan Leader… May I join this meeting?"

Everyone turned toward the voice.

Standing at the door was Veer.

Seeing him enter, the elders' eyes lit up. Until today, Veer wasn't considered part of the family. But everything had changed. Now, Veer was like a sun whose light could brighten the future of their children.

"Of course. You may join us,"

Vardhan Singh replied with a faint smile.

"Ashutosh… Are my ears failing me, or did you just say that I should share the elixir and its recipe with the whole family so everyone can benefit?"

Veer asked Ashutosh in a cold voice.

"You heard right. I know you're not a part of the Mishra family by blood, but you still live in our home. You eat our food and wear clothes bought with our money. Don't you think it's time to repay that debt?"

Ashutosh said.

"What debt are you talking about? My clothes, food, and home — all are paid for with my mother's earnings, which she made by working for your Mishra family. Don't be under the illusion that only the Mishras can give us money. We could work for the Ahuja family too."

Veer replied with a laugh.

"How dare you betray our family, Veer! You want to side with another clan!"

Aman accused.

"I'm betraying the family? Aman, I know you hate me because I crippled your sons Ravi and Abhijeet. But that doesn't give you the right to falsely accuse me. I defeated them both in the arena, in front of everyone. You're just using this to take revenge."

Veer countered.

"I'm not making false accusations. You just said you could work for the Ahuja family. If that's not betrayal, what is?"

Aman yelled as Veer laughed.

"I didn't think you were such a fool. Everyone here knows I only said that to make a point — that the Mishra family hasn't done me any favors. If I'm standing here today, it's because of my mother. I only stay with you because you are part of her family."

Veer said, now angry.

"Ashutosh… If you want me to make the divine elixir for your sons, think carefully before you speak to me again. One wrong word could spoil our family ties. Take that as advice… or a warning."

He looked straight at Ashutosh.

'Advice or a warning'

He may have said both, but everyone in the room knew it was no advice — it was a warning.

Hearing this, Ashutosh's face dropped. He immediately shut his mouth. He knew any further argument could jeopardize his children's future. The sun doesn't just give light — it can burn too. And for Ashutosh, it wasn't hard to realize that Veer was that sun.

After a short pause, Veer continued:

"If you people think I'm going to make this divine elixir for everyone, you're wrong. My master strictly forbade it. He also said that if anyone tries to forcefully take the elixir or its recipe from me, he will personally destroy them."

He looked around the room seriously.

Hearing this, the elders started breathing heavily. Only now did they recall that Revati had spoken of Veer's master before. If that person could create such an elixir, how powerful must he be?

They had all forgotten in their greed that Veer wasn't alone — he had a master.

"Veer, what level is your master as a healer?"

Senior Amar Singh asked eagerly.

After reading the recipe, he could tell Veer's master was far superior to him. If that was true, he would ask his own son, Vedant, who was also a healer, to become that master's disciple.

"Senior, I don't know his level. But once, when he was making a medicine, I saw the fire formed from his internal energy — it was golden in color."

Veer said, pretending to recall the memory.

"What!!!"

Amar Singh suddenly stood up and shouted.

"Seventh-level healer."

'Veer's master is truly a seventh-level healer.'

Hearing this, the entire Mishra family was shocked.

Vardhan Singh signaled everyone to calm down and asked Amar Singh:

"Are you sure his master is a seventh-level healer?"

"Absolutely. I have no doubt. Only a seventh-level healer can produce golden flames using internal energy. And if I'm correct, Veer's master has also reached the seventh level of the Creation Realm."

"Creation Realm warrior."

"Seventh-level healer."

Everyone began to sweat.

The Creation Realm was above the Core Circle Realm. The strongest warrior of the Mishra family, Amar Singh, had only recently reached level six of the Core Circle Realm. Now they understood why Veer's master warned that if anyone tried to steal the formula, he would destroy them himself. A seventh-level warrior of the Creation Realm could wipe out the entire Mishra family with a single finger. None of them had ever even seen such a powerful healer before.

"Why is Veer so damned lucky?"

Aman muttered through clenched teeth.

"Clan Leader… I have something urgent to do. If anyone wants the divine elixir, they can bring the necessary ingredients to me. Oh, and I almost forgot — Clan Leader, you're holding the 1,000 silver coins given by Aman and Ashutosh. Since I won the bet, shouldn't I be getting those coins now?"

Veer said, looking at Vardhan Singh.

Without replying, Vardhan took a pouch from his pocket and handed it to Veer.

Taking the coins, Veer immediately left the room.

In truth, the elixir and formula he had shown at the meeting were not the real ones. It was a different divine elixir known as "Equal Physical Elixir." He wasn't foolish enough to hand over such a valuable secret so easily.

"Clan Leader… Senior… Abhijeet must have regained consciousness by now. Please allow me to leave."

Aman said sorrowfully. Both his sons were crippled, and he received no justice. Even his closest ally Ashutosh distanced himself for the sake of his own children. Everyone had abandoned him.

"I'd like to leave too,"

Revati added.

She feared Aman might try to harm Veer in anger.

After Aman and Revati left the room, Vardhan Singh, Amar Singh, and the other elders began discussing what to do about the divine elixir.

They didn't want outsiders to learn of it. So, Vardhan Singh decided that only the children of the elders present in today's meeting would be allowed to use the elixir.

"Clan Leader… Veer wasn't punished today, and that has left Aman bitter. If he informs the Gupta or Ahuja families, they will stop at nothing to get this divine elixir — even if it means standing against Veer's master."

Somdatt said.

"Yes, I agree with Somdatt. We all know how greedy the Gupta and Ahuja families are. I don't think they'll be very afraid of Veer's master either,"

Ashutosh added nervously.

As soon as he finished, he noticed Somdatt looking at him with a strange expression.

Ashutosh understood what he was thinking, and softly said:

"If I don't support you now, my children's future is at risk. I know how close you and Veer are. I won't invite unnecessary trouble."

Though they had always been rivals, today it was about his son. So, Ashutosh chose to compromise.
